I'm grabbing a book off of my bookshelf for the next few books. Also to warn you that I will probably not be able to post as much due to the fact that I am going on vacation for a week. I'll be sure to make notes on each book I read if I don't get a chance to post while I'm on vacation. It is also the reason why I'm grabbing books from my bookshelf instead of getting them from the library. My first pick is Hooked by Emily McIntire and I can't remember if I read any books of hers. I'll find out when I go through my list of authors. Anyway I know nothing about this book and there is a trigger warning in this book but the author said so themselves that they don't want to ruin the surprise, but if you want to be prepared there is a little website you can go to in order to know what those trigger warnings are for. I personally like to be surprised because that give the best kind of authentic reaction. All I know about this book is that the villain gets to have their chance at love. That is it. I'm not sure how this is going to play out but I'm kind of excited.

I got some internet and time to update you on Hooked. I finished the book. It was an okay book. I feel like the whole book was rushed. There is a bit of a twist close to the end. But you don't get time to recover from the twist before the book ends because everything is so rushed. The only criticism I have for the book is that the author could have taken some time to build up the romance. To me it feels like they just built a whole romance on lust and revenge. The feelings couldn't be put as authentic to me once I finished the book. I did appreciate that the book had an epilogue to help wrap up any loose ends in the book. I like that if the author can't wrap up the book nicely at the end but they use and epilogue to do so. Sadly, the book is going to get three out of five stars from me. The story was good and I like the idea of villains getting the love they deserve. But what hurt this book was how rushed everything felt. If the author focused more on the details and the build up of a relationship, the rating could have been higher.
