I have another audiobook I'm listening to. It was this one that told me that my ear isn't quite healed when I put my headphones on. So this is going to take a while to read. I don't really remember anything about what this book is about and that is probably a good thing. I know it is a popular book since it is on the Lucky Day shelf at work. Also I had to wait a long while to finally get my hands on any version of the book. I'm just happy that I got the audiobook, but it couldn't have come at a worse time. Hopefully this whole ear thing will get better soon. But I bet you that this is going to follow the same formula as The Fine Print. You know the formula. Rich guy falls in love with average girl that changes his perspective on life. He messes it up and breaks the girl's heart. He begs for her to take him back and she does without a second thought. Then they live happily ever after. If that is how this book goes, I will not have anything to say about it because I would just be explaining every other romance book I've read. Wish me luck.

I've tried reading this book before but I wasn't into reading two of the same genre since I had just finished reading The Fine Print, so I put it away. Now I'm going to try to read the book. I did have the audiobook but I'm not into audiobooks right now. So it is physically reading is what I'm going to do. It does take a little bit longer depending on the book but it helps me focus a little bit more. All I remember out of the few chapters I was able to listen to is that we have out leading lady Ava lives next door to her brother and I guess she is a photographer. She has a love hate relationship with her brother's best friend Alex, our leading man. Alex is a self made millionaire before age thirty and he is very cold. His whole family is dead and that is pretty much all I know. Or, at least remember. Anyway Ava's brother is leaving to go to Central America, I think, and he has asked his best friend to keep an eye on Ava while he is away. So Alex moves in next door into her brother's place and the drama begins. Drama being that Alex is taking his favor a little too seriously and literally hunts Ava down to find her doing a photoshoot in lingerie, making his freak out. He ends up threatening the photographer, deletes the photos, and now Ava is very upset with him. Let's see if this book actually gets more interesting as people say it does.

I'm using a different cover than the one I had because I'm making this post at work. Even with my busy schedule, I was able to finish this book. I may have fallen asleep a few times reading it because I am a very busy lady. Anyway the book was okay. It may be a little too over hyped for my tastes. Like I said, I'm looking for a romance novel that goes off of the normal formula used for every romance novel. You know the type. Rich, self made multimillionaire, with an IQ of a genius, and a tragic past that gives him a heart of stone. Then he meets a girl that makes him feels different, denies it at first but then gives in by having explosive spicy time, then guy does something to push the girl away, girl is heartbroken, guy begs for girl to give him a second chance, then we all live happily ever after. I basically just described the book by explaining the formula of a romance novel. To me that book being a typical romance novel is boring. The only interesting part is when he is faced with his uncle after learning the truth. By the way, it is so predictable on what goes on in the book. Also I don't see this book as dark romance. I've read some dark romance and compared to those, this one is mild. Spice is also a bit mild. Not as good as I was led to believe, but I already knew that the formula would ruin the book for me anyway. Book gets at least two out of five stars. It is an okay book, just not for me.
