Hello there Bookies,
I feel like I just started reading Coraline and I'm already almost finished. Just one chapter left. Anyways, I don't really know what to say about the book. The movie is pretty similar to it, but there are a few things that are different. Obviously things will be dragged out in the movie due to the fact they need to fill a certain time slot. In the book she gets offered the buttons during her first visit through the door while in the movie it is so much later than that. Also in the movie she watches the mice perform a show, but in the book they just show up in her other room. In the movie, she fights her other father for the child's soul in the garden while in the book she fights him in a cellar and there is no soul to be found. Even though there are many differences in the book, I still enjoyed it. It was a good quick read that got me back into the spirits of reading. Feel free to go check out the book if you want and even watch the movie. But I'm off to read my next adventure.
So until next time....

Reading Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Hey there Bookies,
I've watched the movie countless times before I learned that it was a book. There are already many differences and I know about them because I watched a video about it on Youtube. I wasn't sure I was going to like the book because when you watch the movie first, it ruins everything. So far, the book is actually quite enjoyable. I know that this is going to be a fast read if I just take the time to read the book. But I figured something small and short would get me back into the spirits of reading. Especially now that I'm back to helping out at my old job where I sit at a desk all day and do nothing. Plenty of time to read. Wish me luck guys.

Sorry for the long delay.
Hey there Bookies,
I seem to do this a lot. I work hard at keeping you guys posted. I read books like I'm addicted to them. Then I just stop. The passion for reading disappears. I would like to blame my mental illness, but we all know the truth. I just don't make the time to read. I could read a chapter or two a day and get the book done in time. I can find time for my writing, so why can't I find time for reading? Anyways, I'm sorry for not posting lately. I'll try to do better. I can't make any promises, but I can try. That is all I can do because I am only human.

Started reading Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Hey there Bookies,
I forgot all about keeping you up to date on things. Blame the five days of no power and then trying to clean up after the storm.
I started reading Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon and once again we all know how much I love her books. I am even already halfway through the book. We learn a little bit about our dragons in the series. We met one in the previous book, but this book focuses on his brother, Max. Max was mated to a dragonslayer who comes from an Amazon tribe that was very set in their ways. She doesn't realize what she has until he is gone and she has his children. But sadly, the book starts out with her coming back into his life and dropping the ball on him. But the book has a lot of flashbacks and it is really hard to keep track of. I did have to reread a few things just to be sure I read it right. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up reading this book a second time. But anyways, I stopped right when war is about to break out. I wonder how this book is going to end.

Manga Post #19
Hey there Bookies,
It is so nice to have power back again in my house. I've been camping out at my uncle's house and using his WiFi. Also used that time to get some more reading done. But now I'm home and happy and able to finally update you guys as much as I want. Starting with the mangas that I picked up. I'm still one short a manga and looking for recommendations on a new one. But until then I will stick with the two I'm reading.
How many volumes does Naruto have? I'm just wondering because I feel like I'm almost done with it. With this volume we learn more about Sasuke's past. Its kind of sad because he was so close to his brother, only to be betrayed. Also you learn that he was compared a lot to his brother and he just wanted his father's approval. We all know that the big battle between him and Naruto is about to start. This is probably where I lost track of the series. I won't know until I actually start reading. But I feel like I'm just breezing through this series and it kind of makes me sad. Only because before I know it, I will finish it. And then I will be looking for another manga to read. I really enjoy the series. Both the mangas and the anime. I will try to go back to watching the anime, but until then I will stick with reading the series. Its actually the better of the two, if you ask me.
I know I have a long way before I finish this series. But it feels like I'm almost where I left off in the anime. I still love the characters the most. But the character we are focusing in right now is Nami. We get to learn a little more about her. Sadly the big battle hasn't really started in this volume, but it does hype you up for it. I just feel bad that I can't fully enjoy the manga because right now it is all just review. I got pretty far in the anime series and I'm kind of excited to see what the manga will teach me the farther I go. But so far, I still highly recommend the series and even the anime. I love all of the characters a lot. All of the different personalities makes for a very interesting crew. It makes the whole volume enjoyable. But I'm off to read the next book.

Done reading Son of No One
Hey there Bookies,
I finished the book sooner but due to weather and the power going out that lasted a few days, I couldn't post anything. But here I am after taking full advantage of the situation and got a lot of reading done.
Son of No One has names that I can't remember how to pronounce or spell, so I will just call our two main characters Jo and Cade. Jo being the leading lady and Cade being the leading male. Both nicknames are also used through out the book because it probably was easier on the reader. Anyways, Jo is a skeptic when it comes to the supernatural and she falls in some hard times. In desperate times she agrees to take a job as a camera woman for her cousin's paranormal show. Or, at least I think it was her cousin's. Anyways, while working she somehow gets sucked in another dimension through a mirror. Right away she is attacked by demons and saved by our leading male character Cade. The whole entire time she thinks she is either dead or dreaming because she is being skeptical about these things. With that thought in mind, she ends up doing some things with Cade that she didn't think she would do when she was awake. Sadly, Cade explains to her that she isn't dreaming and tries to get her home. Only problem is that, he can't. So Cade has to make a deal with the enemy in hopes to find a way to return Jo home. In the process they make a new friend/comrade. Then somehow Jo and Cade get their bodies switched and its an adventure trying to fix all of that. Eventually they succeed but Cade then breaks out in full demon mode and Jo some how gets home. But she demands to go back and save Cade from himself. After a few arguments and resistance, Jo gets her way and turns Cade back to being human with just a kiss. Nothing like true love's kiss to bring someone back from a killing rampage. Then they are back together again and they are able to bring Cade back into Jo's dimension. Then this is when I start wondering how long they have actually been together because if I calculated it correctly, it has only been about five days to a week. But anyways, he proposes to Jo and she accepts. Thorn then reveals something that makes me read over at least three times. Just like the time when Cade explained to Jo on why she could wield his shield. Then everyone lives happily ever after. Well at least for now because everyone has this feeling that something huge is on their way. The story I highly enjoyed and I'm a little sad that it ended so soon. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's book a lot and none of them have disappointed me really. Well there might have been one or two. But who is really counting? I also have a feeling that this series is slowly coming close to an end, which makes me sadder. I've been reading this series for so long that it has become such a huge part of my life now. What would I do without it? Pray for me guys.

Started reading Son of No One by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Hey there Bookies,
I figured I would get this book out of the way since we all know I'm going to like it. It's Sherrilyn Kenyon and we all know how much I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. I just started and the book is already pretty good. I guess the book is about Thorn's brother or half-brother. This just makes me wonder how this is all going to go down. I'm pretty excited. But I'm going to head out. I will go back to Alice in Zombieland the moment that I am finished with this book.
