About halfway through The Coffin Club

Hello Bookies,

I'm not even that far into the book and I'm already getting frustrated. Our main character Raven starts off leaving school. Then hunts down her vampire boyfriend and gives him a surprise visit. She is full of questions and its obvious he doesn't want to tell her anything. Probably for her own protection, but she just keeps bringing it up. Like, Girl, just stop and accept that he loves you enough to keep you safe. But even after telling him that she wouldn't go to the Coffin Club without him, she does anyways. She explores the place because she stumbled in a new section. The whole time thinking this music and talking must be coming from Jagger's apartment as she walks down a dark hallway. Then she sneaks into an exclusive club and all of the obvious signs are there. But apparently she is to dumb to see it. You would think that having a vampire boyfriend would make her believe that vampires actually exist. Then after she finally leaves, she decides that she isn't going to tell her boyfriend that she betrayed his trust by going to the club without him. Instead she hides the fact and then goes to bed imagining being all snuggled up next to him. I'm pretty sure he is going to find out and probably end up leaving her in the end. I know I'm getting too invested in this book, but this character is pretty much doing everything she shouldn't be doing. And I know something big is going to happen and my reaction is that she should have listened. I just know that it is going to happen.

Started reading The Coffin Club by Ellen Schreiber

Hello there Bookies,

I would like to first say Happy New Year. I do know that the Chinese New Year isn't until January 25th, but I will like to wish them all a happy new year in advance because they still celebrate the new year along with the rest of us. Also China will hopefully be my home by the end of the year, so I need to show some love to them. But enough of that, let's get talking about the book.

The Coffin Club is part of a series that I have been trying to finish reading for like a really long time. It takes me forever because I end up taking breaks after I get bored after reading two books. I usually breeze through the books pretty quickly, but no much happens in them until the very end. So it feels like I have learned absolutly nothing. Also I can't remember what happened in the previous books because I started this series before this blog even started. If I did have  a post about it, I will be sure to read it and refresh my memory.  But until then, I'm reading completely in the dark. Pray for me guys. This is going to be so hard for me to review for you guys. I don't want to turn you off from the series, so I will try my best to talk it up the best I can. It is a teen book for teen readers. And that is all I got for now. I'm sorry I couldn't say more.

Manga Post #23

Hello Bookies,

I'm one manga short for this post. Looks like I forgot to request the next volume for One Piece, so it will have to wait until next time. Sorry about that guys. I won't waste your time too much with the introduction and just go straight to talking about the mangas.

Not much happens in the volume. Everyone is on their way to save Gaara before it is too late. There was a few battle scenes but they ended very quickly because it wasn't actually the actual people. They used a jutsu that turned people into them in order to fight in their place. It was all to buy time. Naruto and friends eventually finish their battles and make it to where Gaara is being held. Now they have one more challenge ahead of them. They have to get past the barrier guarding the place. Sadly, this is where the volume ends. Kind of sad about that because I wanted to keep reading. Even if I feel like I have learned nothing so far. I guess the only option I have is to get the next volume. But check out the series if you haven't all ready. I'm not sure where this is going to end or when, but I have a feeling I still have a long ways to go.

It's hard to believe that I'm on the fourth volume already. This series goes by way too fast. The volume starts off where the other one left off. Eren is a titan and is currently unconscious. His childhood friend Armin tries to wake him up while everyone is dying. Eventually he gets he to wake up and the mission is back on track. They succeed with tons of lives lost, but they finally gained the upper hand. After that, you go through some flashbacks. You go through all of their training they had to experience. Stuff like that. The whole volume is pretty much a flashback until you get close to the end. Then you are back at the present where they are picking up the bodies and disposing them. A little heartless if you ask me, but makes sense if all you see is death everyday while fighting an enemy you don't quite understand. The volume ends with Eren getting accepted into the survey corps. So far I'm enjoying the storyline. Just the sudden flashbacks is hard to keep track of, but it explains the story. If you haven't already, check out the series and share what you think about it as well.

Almost done reading Embraced by Darkness

Well, I have been reading this book on and off and I am happy to say that I'm almost done with it. It feels like a whole lot has not happened in the book, but a lot actually did. Riley gets of vacation and she is thrown into a case. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned all of this before, but it doesn't hurt to repeat myself. Anyways, the case she in thrown into is bad. Like there are body parts everywhere bad. Then she has the whole disappearances she has to look into. So you can say her plate is full. Did I mention that her life is being threatened as well. The girl just can't catch a break. Anyways, it looks like she keeps hitting a dead ended with both cases. Also her lover, Kellen keeps asking her to commit to only him and give up her job. She loves the idea, but she just can't do it. Something is holding her back and I may be peeked at the end, she might not be wrong about her hesitation. So, she solves one case and fights the bad spirit that is just more than happy to continue killing. Even put up a fight when they try to contain him back in his grave so that way no more people have to be ripped apart. That was a tough one for Riley. Then she goes out and almost gets killed when she is attacked once again with Kellen. This is where he admits that it put him in the realization that he may have a few things to thing over as well. That is pretty much where I left off. You guys can go get the book and find out the ending yourselves. I'm off to wrap up this book and get a whole new one.

Manga Post #22

Hello there Bookies,

I'm taking a small break from reading my book and picked up the next volumes of the mangas I have been reading. I love these series so far and I'll be sad when I finish them. But I don't think that won't be for a while.

Naruto is back home after two years of training. He first gives the impression that he's changed and grew up, but it doesn't take long to see that his personality is still the same. Anyways, he learns that while he was gone, everyone was also working hard. They all advanced to the higher ranks of being a ninja and Naruto still has to get that promotion. He's a little disappointed about it, but gets over it. The majority of the volume is Naruto catching up with everyone. Also there is a big battle between Gaara and the Akatsuki. Gaara looks like he is winning, but by playing dirty the Akatsuki is the true victor and kidnaps Gaara. The sand village has no choice but to contact their ally for help. Naruto and his team show up only to learn that their help is needed more than anything. There is more that I skipped over because I don't feel like looking up the names of characters. You are free to read the series. You will not be disappointed. I know I'm not so far.

Things are getting pretty interesting in Attack on Titan. Eren is revealed in front of everyone that he isn't a normal human being. He has proven that he can become a titan. He isn't sure how though but he has an idea. So in the moments that everyone is ready to kill them, his friend comes up with an idea. Now this plan only can work if Eren can control his new found gift. The mission is to plug up the hole the titans have created and reclaim the town that was overtaken by titans. The way that Armin explained it, it was pretty fool proof. And, for a second it looked like it might work. Until Eren changed into a titan and it appeared that he couldn't control himself. Declaring it a failed mission, the team protecting him could only do that until he decided to wake up and return to being human. Armin can to join the team to figure out what had happened and we are left with him trying to wake Eren up. I've seen the anime but I can't remember exactly what happens next, so I'm pretty excited to get the next volume and figure out if Eren comes to his senses or not.

After visiting the town where Gold Roger is from along with some minor obstacles, Luffy and his friends are on their way to the Grand Line. The anime does follow this part a lot but it seems to do it in more detail because they are trying to fill up a certain time frame. Anyways, they get to the mountain that will lead them to the Grand Line. They barely make it and then get swallowed up by a big whale. Well everyone except Luffy. They make a few new friends after hey escape the whale and Luffy even makes a promise to the whale to come back. He only does this after learning the whale's past. Then they are off to their first island in the Grand Line and are given a welcome fit for a king. Soon you find out it was just a play at things to get their guards down. The town is full of bounty hunters and they want to gather the bounty on Luffy's head. Zolo/Zoro shows that he didn't pass out like the rest of the crew and tries to fight all of the bounty hunters by himself. And that is basically where the volume ends. It feels like it was so much longer in the anime, but like I said they are trying to fill in a certain time frame. I have a feeling until they get to the next big battle, some of the volumes are going to be quick and not have much that is new. But you need the side stories in order to enjoy the whole thing. Right?

How long has it been since I've held this book? It feels like forever. I don't even remember all that happened in the book. Or, even in the whole series. I'm going to be so lost and confused as I start this book all over. I guess all we can do is hope that I do this book justice as I tell you guys about it later on.

Paused reading Losing Hope

I can't read the book anymore. Not because it's bad, but because there are pages missing. I don't know who could be so cruel to do such a thing. And, why that page? Some people need to be taught that books are friends. I've even made sure I didn't accidentally do it because my hell-hound has no respect for things. But I don't have a page laying around that I need. This is sad. I was really getting into the book.
