Back to reading Cryptic Cravings by Ellen Schreiber

Hello Bookies,

Long time no see with this whole pandemic going on. I've been patiently waiting for the library to reopen and it finally did. I did make a post before this one explaining that while I was waiting, I started streaming on Twitch.com with some gaming content. I'm not funny or some might just find me boring, but I'm enjoying myself. It's something I was always too scared to do and I finally got the confidence to just do it. Kind of like starting this blog for my love of reading.

Since the whole pandemic thing started and the library closing down, I have no idea what this book is about. I've skimmed a little bit and I kind of get the idea. Jagger and friends are going to start a vampire club in Raven's town and that is pretty much all I got. Also from the first few pages I read from where I left off, Becky is starting to get suspicious of what is all going on. She is trying to get pictures for Jagger's scrapbook for the club. Raven just has to figure out how to direct her from taking pictures of the vampires and uncovering their secret. And, that is about it so far. I would hate to say that I'm getting bored with this series, but I'm getting bored with this series. I know I'm almost finished with it, but what more can go on? Also if Raven decides to be a vampire after dating one guy I will never understand the minds of the younger generation. Everyone is so eager to find The One and don't focus on just living their lives. Sorry. Small rant. But reading this book just reminds me how stupid I once was at sixteen or seventeen years old. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the end of this series. Not because I don't like it. I like it a lot but I think I'm too adult for this kind of series to fully enjoy. I used to love this series in high school and now I just can't do it justice because I can't have that same mindset that I had during high school.

So until next time...

Library is open again!!

 Hello fellow Bookies,

Sorry for not posting in what feels like forever. Things are a bit crazy due to the pandemic but I'm managing. Turns out I took up some gaming and stream live every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on Twitch.com. If you want to watch me fail at gaming, feel free to tune in. I usually post on my Instagram right before I'm about to go live with stream.

Anyways, the reason for the post is to let you all know that I'm alive. I haven't read anything because out local library has been closed. It finally opened again and I will try to squeeze some reading into my busy schedule. I even have to squeeze in some of my writing too, but I'm confident that I can do it.

I did miss all of you guys and I did miss all of the books that I could be reading. I even took a break from going on Goodread.com to resist the urge to add more book to my To-Be-Read list. I need to cut it down before I can add anymore. But there are just too many books to read and so little time.

So until next time....

Started reading Cryptic Cravings by Ellen Schreiber

Hello my fellow bookworms,

This is a book that I actually remember mostly on what happened in the last book. Also I think I'm coming close to the end of this series. Thank the lord for that because my mature mind is like, "Really girl, you are only 16 and haven't even dated enough to know what love is." It's pretty much the same thing I say to my 14 year old sister who just started dating a guy two weeks ago and she loves him like no other. The only thing I can't remember when it comes to this book is what adventure it is about. I read it like a few days ago and I can't remember any of it. I guess I will just have to read in order to remember. But the book starts off right after the party of vampires and mortals. The vampires are all gone and no one had heard from them again. Now Raven has to do a small amount of damage control with her boyfriend and that is pretty much where I left off. Let's see where this story is going to go this time around.

So until next time...

Manga Post #27

 Hello there fellow bookworms,

If you haven't heard, I have a youtube channel related to this blog. The channel is where we all can discuss the book that is being read. Kind of like a bookclub. You can listen to the book I am reading or you can follow along with your own copy of the book. The first book we are reading is Flawless by Jan Moran. I'll be sure to post the link on the main page of the blog so it will be easier to find. But let's get to talking about the mangas that I'm reading. I still can't get all three at the same time. It is a little frustrating, but there is nothing I can do about.

I was left with the last volume of this series ending with titans entering through a hole in the wall. I can't remember how it happened or what formed the hole, but I'm hoping this book will explain it. Also it is getting to the point where I left off in the anime. So I will be experiencing some new thing very soon which makes me a little excited. Anyways, this volume picks up right where we left off in the last album. Titans are on their way and the survey corps stationed in the location closest to the hole has to pass the news to the villagers. They have to evacuate as many people as they can to avoid a large amount of people dying. If I remember correctly from the anime, things get really rough pretty quickly. Anyways, first everyone has to spread the word to warn people about the titans. We even get a small back story on Sasha as she goes to her village to save people, but it looks like they already knew about the titans coming through the wall. Anyways, Sasha barely makes it out alive while trying to protect a child and then runs into her father and the rest of the village. Finally feeling at home. Meanwhile, Eren and friends are trying to figure out a way to plug up the hole in the wall. They come up with an idea for Eren to use his titan body to harden and seal up the hole. But he isn't sure that he can do it, but he will still try. Anyways, while all of the teams are looking for the hole, they are starting to think that they missed it somewhere. But could it be possible that there isn't a hole at all? And, if that is so, where did all of the titans come from? I guess we will just have to find out in the next volume.

It's been a while since I read Naruto. I can't remember when I did the last post or what had happened in the last volume. So I was hoping that reading this volume would spark some of my memory. Luckily it doesn't take long for me to figure out what happened in the last volume. Our little gang had just gotten done rescuing Gara and headed back home. Sadly, Kakashi is out of commission and now they have to find a replacement along with someone to take Sasuke's place to complete their four man unit. They find two members that are from two completely different units of the Black Ops, Yamato and Sai. So far things are starting out a little rough because Naruto isn't getting along with Sai. But they have a mission they need to focus on. Meaning that they are all forced to get along until the mission is complete. Also they are only doing this mission to send Naruto away and keep him moving. It is a way to keep him safe from the enemy that is hunting him down. I am getting close to where I left off with this series when I watched the anime. I've seen bits and pieces and it has been so long since I've watched it. I really like the small refresher. Now lets see if this mission is a success or not.

So until next time...

Started reading Flawless by Jan Moran

Hello fellow bookworms,

I have something to announce before I talk about the book. I started a channel on Youtube called Lys's Bookclub. I will provide the link to the channel at the end of this post. But the channel is where I read a book and then discuss it with all of you once we are done. You can either listen or follow along with your own copy of the book. At the end of each chapter posted, you are free to share your thoughts on what is going on in the comment section below. Feel free to go check it out and if you have any books you want the bookclub to read, you are free to let me know on the Youtube channel. Now on to the book.

I've only read two chapter out of the book so far and I feel like not much has happened. Our main character is a successful woman that took over her family's business at the age of Eighteen. Right away you are at an event where the main character accepts an award. The book doesn't waste time by having a reporter revealing information that our main character should have been told the moment things were starting to go bad. She shouldn't have found out about it after it all crashed and burned. Which by the way her boyfriend or soon to be husband was actually in charge of everything along with her best friend and banker. Sadly her best friend and banker is now dead. She has to keep up a strong face while mourning for her dear friend. The main character than goes for a walk outside to put her thoughts in order. There she runs into Lance, who is a chef at the venue that the event was being held in. They talk as he cooks for her, but their little conversation get interrupted by her boyfriend. Which isn't too happy to see her with another man and tried to order her to leave with him. She completely brushed him off making him leave angrily. As far as I have gotten with the book, it seems to be okay. It is too early to say if I like it or not. I will need to read more in order to make that opinion.

So until next time...

Hello fellow bookworms,

I figured I would make notes as I listen to the book being told by me. I have no idea where I am in the book, so I can't tell you exactly what is going on. Anyways, our main character can see ghost and I guess she can also astral project into the past to find out how someone died. Or, something like that. Also her best friend is a ghost as well. Not much happens in the first few chapters. She astral projects at her school and her ghost friend saves her. Chapter three talks about how she gained the ability to see ghosts.  Then she explains how she can astral project and what she calls it. Then at about this time I start to not listen because I get busy doing something else. But I did pick up that our main character hasn't told her parents about her new abilities or about what really happened when she gained the ability. Anyways, there is only four chapters available on Youtube when it comes to the audio book. I feel very incomplete. I either have to rent the audiobook on amazon, or just rent the book. I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do.

So until next time....

Started reading City of Ghost by Victoria Schwab

Hey there fellow bookworms,

I may have cheated a little bit with this book. Yes, I actually gave into the audiobook craze. In my defense it is only because the library is closed for the weekend and I have nothing to read until I can pick up my books on Monday. So I had no choice. Anyways, I don't really know what the book is about but I think it is kind of convenient that I can listen as I write this post. Sadly, I'm not really paying attention. But it is my first time with this whole audiobook thing. My biggest fear is not getting into the book as much as I would if I was actually reading the book myself. I guess we will just have to see how this turns out. Wish me luck.

So until next time....
