Reading The Glittering Court

Hello my Bookies,

So it is taking me so much longer to read this book than I expected. I'm not even a quarter of the way through. I guess school is taking a lot of my time lately. Also my writing is taking a lot of time. But I'm trying to get the book done in a timely manner. So far in the book we have a countess who has pretty much lost everything due to her parents dying tragically. Also her parents weren't much on making money and more about doing charity work. In order to save her family from complete ruin, she is forced to marry someone with lots of money and a title equal to hers. She ends up with a distant cousin that is obsessed with barley and has no sense of humor. She also notices that he scratches a lot to the point that it will drive her insane. So she finds out that one of her maids is being signed up for a thing called The Glittering Court. Its where they recruit girls and make them into housewives for the rich men in a different country. Our countess sees this as a chance to run away and change her life. So she sends away her maid because they don't want to do it, and she goes in their place. It's hard for her to fit in because there was a lot of things she didn't know how to do that most of the common girls did know how to do. But I pretty much stopped where they were having an indoor picnic with family members and friends. Good thing our countess has someone watching her back because they hired an actress to play a family member so that way she didn't stick out like a sore thumb. But our countess is sensing that something isn't going right during this small event. She can't help but get the feeling of urgency.

So until next time...
