Almost done reading Embraced by Darkness

Hello there Bookies,

Well, I have been reading this book on and off and I am happy to say that I'm almost done with it. It feels like a whole lot has not happened in the book, but a lot actually did. Riley gets of vacation and she is thrown into a case. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned all of this before, but it doesn't hurt to repeat myself. Anyways, the case she in thrown into is bad. Like there are body parts everywhere bad. Then she has the whole disappearances she has to look into. So you can say her plate is full. Did I mention that her life is being threatened as well. The girl just can't catch a break. Anyways, it looks like she keeps hitting a dead ended with both cases. Also her lover, Kellen keeps asking her to commit to only him and give up her job. She loves the idea, but she just can't do it. Something is holding her back and I may be peeked at the end, she might not be wrong about her hesitation. So, she solves one case and fights the bad spirit that is just more than happy to continue killing. Even put up a fight when they try to contain him back in his grave so that way no more people have to be ripped apart. That was a tough one for Riley. Then she goes out and almost gets killed when she is attacked once again with Kellen. This is where he admits that it put him in the realization that he may have a few things to thing over as well. That is pretty much where I left off. You guys can go get the book and find out the ending yourselves. I'm off to wrap up this book and get a whole new one.

So until next time....

Manga Post #22

Hello there Bookies,

I'm taking a small break from reading my book and picked up the next volumes of the mangas I have been reading. I love these series so far and I'll be sad when I finish them. But I don't think that won't be for a while.

Naruto is back home after two years of training. He first gives the impression that he's changed and grew up, but it doesn't take long to see that his personality is still the same. Anyways, he learns that while he was gone, everyone was also working hard. They all advanced to the higher ranks of being a ninja and Naruto still has to get that promotion. He's a little disappointed about it, but gets over it. The majority of the volume is Naruto catching up with everyone. Also there is a big battle between Gaara and the Akatsuki. Gaara looks like he is winning, but by playing dirty the Akatsuki is the true victor and kidnaps Gaara. The sand village has no choice but to contact their ally for help. Naruto and his team show up only to learn that their help is needed more than anything. There is more that I skipped over because I don't feel like looking up the names of characters. You are free to read the series. You will not be disappointed. I know I'm not so far.

Things are getting pretty interesting in Attack on Titan. Eren is revealed in front of everyone that he isn't a normal human being. He has proven that he can become a titan. He isn't sure how though but he has an idea. So in the moments that everyone is ready to kill them, his friend comes up with an idea. Now this plan only can work if Eren can control his new found gift. The mission is to plug up the hole the titans have created and reclaim the town that was overtaken by titans. The way that Armin explained it, it was pretty fool proof. And, for a second it looked like it might work. Until Eren changed into a titan and it appeared that he couldn't control himself. Declaring it a failed mission, the team protecting him could only do that until he decided to wake up and return to being human. Armin can to join the team to figure out what had happened and we are left with him trying to wake Eren up. I've seen the anime but I can't remember exactly what happens next, so I'm pretty excited to get the next volume and figure out if Eren comes to his senses or not.

After visiting the town where Gold Roger is from along with some minor obstacles, Luffy and his friends are on their way to the Grand Line. The anime does follow this part a lot but it seems to do it in more detail because they are trying to fill up a certain time frame. Anyways, they get to the mountain that will lead them to the Grand Line. They barely make it and then get swallowed up by a big whale. Well everyone except Luffy. They make a few new friends after hey escape the whale and Luffy even makes a promise to the whale to come back. He only does this after learning the whale's past. Then they are off to their first island in the Grand Line and are given a welcome fit for a king. Soon you find out it was just a play at things to get their guards down. The town is full of bounty hunters and they want to gather the bounty on Luffy's head. Zolo/Zoro shows that he didn't pass out like the rest of the crew and tries to fight all of the bounty hunters by himself. And that is basically where the volume ends. It feels like it was so much longer in the anime, but like I said they are trying to fill in a certain time frame. I have a feeling until they get to the next big battle, some of the volumes are going to be quick and not have much that is new. But you need the side stories in order to enjoy the whole thing. Right?

So until next time...

Started reading Embraced by Darkness by Keri Arthur...again

Hello Bookies,

How long has it been since I've held this book? It feels like forever. I don't even remember all that happened in the book. Or, even in the whole series. I'm going to be so lost and confused as I start this book all over. I guess all we can do is hope that I do this book justice as I tell you guys about it later on.

So until next time...

Paused reading Losing Hope

Hello Bookies,

I can't read the book anymore. Not because it's bad, but because there are pages missing. I don't know who could be so cruel to do such a thing. And, why that page? Some people need to be taught that books are friends. I've even made sure I didn't accidentally do it because my hell-hound has no respect for things. But I don't have a page laying around that I need. This is sad. I was really getting into the book.

So until next time...

Started reading Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover

Hello Bookies,

I finally have my hands on this book and I have to be honest, I kind of forgot about it. I've read Hopeless way before I started this blog, so I have no notes to go on when it comes to refreshing my memory on what happened in the book. I don't even know what this book is about because it has been so long. But I'm going to read it and hope that I can learn something. Sorry that this post wasn't longer. Wish me luck when it comes to this adventure.

So until next time...

Manga post #21

Hello Bookies,

I just got my next batch of mangas and I'm ready for the adventures to begin. I'm pretty sure I will be working on the series I have for a while. I know one is still on going and one is really long. I'm not sure about the third one though. I guess I will just have to find out.

How this manga start is kind of like a recap on how the first volume ended. Which is nice because that way you aren't completely lost on all that is going on if you take a long break. The only downside to this is it feels like you are repeating yourself. Like you want to skip over it because you read all of it before. Anyways, the battle with Titans continue and everyone has to figure out a way to get more gas before they all die. They eventually figure it all out, discover a new Titan, and everyone gets a shock of their life. That is all I can say because the whole volume is just about the Titan invasion in the wall. Hopefully I can say more in the next volume. But so far I'm enjoying the series. I enjoyed the anime for what I was able to watch. I can't even remember where I watched it to begin with, maybe Netflix. I don't know, but it is still nice to be able to read all that is going on in the series. I'm just wondering what will happen in the next volume.

The battle between Luffy and big bad fishman is still underway. Luffy does a few things that make you question but he eventually pulls through and wins the battle. Everyone is happy in the village that Nami is from because they are free from the fishmen. Anyways, Nami now becomes part of the crew and they are on their way to their next adventure. But before they go to the Grand Line, they make a small stop. They relax a bit and walk around town. There is a few differences to how they played out the town in the anime then they did in the manga. They obviously have to stretch it out in the anime so they can fit a certain time frame. So the manga doesn't have this big cooking competition with Sanji that pretty much filled a whole episode of the anime. There are others but the anime pretty much follows the manga pretty well. Captain smoker is starting to show up and that is pretty interesting. I look forward to more adventures that this series holds. I got pretty far in the anime so it is nice to see how different it is from the manga.

This is the point where I see a big difference in the anime versus the manga. Another example of them stretching out the timeline to fit a certain time frame. In the anime they try different things to find Sasuke but they all fail. In the manga, they don't do any of that. Naruto feels bad that he couldn't keep his promise and then heads out to train for three years. The story pretty much ends there. But what I like the most about this volume is that they bring in a little back story with Kakashi. He is one of my favorite characters, so seeing how he was able to get his eye was pretty interesting. I know the next volume will take place after the five years of training. I really wish that the author gave us some more episodes with the training that Naruto did during these three years. But beggars can't be choosers. I look forward to the next volume and reading more of the adventures. I know I missed a whole lot at this point when I was watching the anime. So it is really nice to be able to read all that I missed and I can get the story that everyone keeps talking about. Now I'm not so lost.

So until next time...

Finished reading Found

Hey there Bookies,

I just finished the book and I'm slowly trying to come back to reality. A whole lot happens in the book with lots of twists being thrown around. Like so much happens that I can't even tell you anything about the book because it will just ruin everything. All I can say is that it was very hard for me to put down the book at this point and I'm kind of sad that there isn't more. I want to know more about Luther (Mikey's enemy), what will happen to Troy, and Mikey's dad. There is so many unanswered questions and no more books. Which kind of sucks. Either way, go check out the series. It's pretty good and you will be begging for more just like me. Sorry I couldn't say more. If you read the book, you will understand.

So until next time...

Halfway through Found

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for not posting for a while. The holidays came up quick and I had to focus on that for a little bit. So when Christmas is around the corner, I will be busy with all of that as well. Anyways, I can't remember all that I told you about the book so far.  So if some of this is a recap from the last post, you're welcome. Anyways, Mikey convinced his uncle to dig up his father, only to prove that he was alive. But something is weird. His father was apparently cremated and then placed in a casket. Not sure why you would do that, but it kind of feels like someone is trying to hide something. Anyways, Mikey is more confused as he goes home and starts basketball practice. Things end up being weird there as well. One player supposedly moved and another one failed a drug test. The one that failed the drug test says that he was framed and asks Mikey to help him out in clearing his name. Also Mikey finds out that Ema has somewhat a boyfriend that she met online. But I guess he goes missing and it is their next mission to figure out what happened to him. The are slowly making progress in all of the mysteries they are investigating. It is just a matter of time until we see which one gets solved first.

So until next time...

Started reading Found by Harlan Coben

Hello Bookies,

Still have sprained finger, but I'm still typing about the latest book I'm reading. Well, I haven't started reading it yet. This is the last book in a series that I started reading a while back before I started this blog. I know this for sure because I tried to find the author in my already read list and found nothing. So I don't remember much because it has been so long. I'm hoping reading this book will make me remember all that has happened. If not, it looks like I will be rereading this series.

So until next time....

Almost done reading Wild Crush

Hey there Bookies,

I'm still adjusting on how to type with nine fingers that the full ten. It's not easy and I tend to forget. Anyways enough of about my finger and more on the reason you are here. Turns out I did review the first book and I read what I said about the book. So I'm not as confused but I would have done fine if I didn't read my notes either. Anyways, the story is about the good for nothing Vic. Well, he isn't really good for nothing, but he has the reputation because of the fact that he isn't afraid to fight for what he thinks is right. Like beating a guy up because he ended up hitting a girl. If you ask me, we need more guys like Vic where I am from. He is in love with his best friend's girlfriend, but being the loyal friend that he is, he won't touch her. And then this is where things start getting annoying for me. Monika, aka Vic's crush, knows that something is up with her boyfriend. But she just plays it off most of the book. Willing to lie and play the games to keep her boyfriend's image as the star student. At some point something happens and she feels like the secrets she is holding are a huge weight on her shoulders. All the while Vic thinks he killed his best friend. My thought is instead of keeping the secret, put Vic's mind at ease and tell him the truth. She doesn't have to tell anyone. But I really feel like Vic should know. I'm hoping it will happen soon, so that way Vic can feel like he deserves to have a better life than what he was told he was going to have. Anyways, I have a bit of a ways to go until I'm officially done with the book. I might post when I finish, I might now. I haven't decided yet. But if I don't, you guys should go check out the series and give the author some love. The book is really good along with the series. I highly recommend it.

So until next time...

Started reading Wild Crush by Simone Elkeles

Hey there Bookies,

I've been getting a lot do lately now that I have a little more time on my hands. I'm still not supposed to be typing, but I will rest my finger once I'm done with this post. Maybe. Anyways, I own the first book of this series and I read it a while back before I even started this blog. I think. But I don't remember anything from the first book because it has been so long. The think I like about these books is that you actually don't have to read the previous books in order to understand what is going on. Even though it does help in some areas. I have no idea what this book is going to be about. I'm just in it for the adventure it holds for me. Like I haven't even started it yet, but I'm ready for the emotional rollercoaster it is about to put me on. Wish me luck guys.

So until next time....

Manga post #20

Hey there Bookies,

I am working hard at trying to catch up on my reading. Also it's been a while since I did a post like this. The last one was when I finished the Tokyo Ghoul series. But now I have a new one series that is pretty popular these past few years. Or, at least it was last year. The other two series are ones that I have been working on for a while now and it is starting to get to that point of when I am asking myself, how much longer? But I still enjoy them and continue being happy to experience the character just much longer.

I've actually watched anime for Attack on Titan out of curiosity. I actually enjoyed it and got pretty hooked. Sadly, where I was watching it was only season one and I haven't seen any of the seasons following that came up. But if you know where I can watch those, feel free to share it with me. Anyways, I got my hands on the mangas for this series and I'm quite interested in what these have in store. We all know that they won't follow the anime exactly because you have only so many minutes to draw out the story line and what not. But let's all be honest here, the mangas are always way better. Anyways, with how fast I read this volume I am kind of sad that it ended so soon. Right now it is all just review because I watched it all in the anime. There are a few differences but it follows the manga pretty close. So I give the animators a round of applause for that one. I highly look forward to the next volume and I really enjoyed this one. It is all pretty much just an introduction to the titans and characters. A little back story as to why they are the way they are. And, I'm reminded of Eren's father being a complete mystery. Like the fact that he had something locked in the basement that he was supposed to show Eren when he got back. Also he gave Eren a shot for something before disappearing and never to be seen again. Kind of makes you wonder what it is all about. I can't even remember if you ever find out that mystery or not. I guess I just have to read more to find out.

The battle between two best friends has begun. Will Naruto win? Will he succeed in getting his best friend back? If you guys have seen the anime, you already know the answer. But the battle is still pretty intense. I could tell you guys more, but that would just ruin everything. Okay, you talked me into it. Naruto fails his mission. But they all look at it that they all at least returned alive and able to learn from their mistakes. I didn't watch the anime this far into the series, so all of this is pretty new. Even the epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke was pretty good. I do wish it was more detailed, but what can you do. I still enjoyed it and the series. I know the next volume will be of the aftermath of Sasuke leaving and they try to find him. Maybe. That might be farther in the series. For now all I can do is wait for the next volume. This is going to be a long wait.

The volume I got for this has seen better days and it kind of makes me sad. Who could treat these portals into other worlds so carelessly? Anyways, the battle between the fishmen and Luffy's crew is underway. It seems like it is so much shorter watching it in the anime. But the volume drags it out and kind of feels like it gives more details. But that can just be me. Zolo/Zoro wins his battle even though he is still suffering injuries from he last fight against Hawkeye. Sanji wins his even though he did something stupid and jumped in the water like they wanted. But once he used his had and got out, he was able to win. Then they were able to save Luffy who got himself stuck and thrown into the ocean. Now the big battle begins but probably won't be until the next volume. As much as I would like to read more, I have to wait for the next one to come through. Wish me luck on all of this waiting I will have to do.

So until next time....

Shadow Kiss: Graphic novel by Richelle Mead

Hey there Bookies,

I am not supposed to be typing due to my sprained finger, but I love you guys enough to go against orders. Its been a while since I read this series and also the other graphic novels. But after about halfway I slowly started to remember what was going on in the whole story line. These graphic novels are actually nice to read after you read the whole series because it puts an image to what you are reading. I know there is a movie out there somewhere, but I just haven't brought myself to look for it. Maybe I am afraid that it will ruin this image in my head that the books and graphic novels have put for me. I'll eventually bring up the courage to do it. But for now, I'm just going to try to catch up on my reading. Anyways, go check out the book series if you haven't yet and check out the graphic novels if the books aren't really your thing. I'm sure you will enjoy them either way.

So until next time....

Almost finished reading Coraline

Hello there Bookies,

I feel like I just started reading Coraline and I'm already almost finished. Just one chapter left. Anyways, I don't really know what to say about the book. The movie is pretty similar to it, but there are a few things that are different. Obviously things will be dragged out in the movie due to the fact they need to fill a certain time slot. In the book she gets offered the buttons during her first visit through the door while in the movie it is so much later than that. Also in the movie she watches the mice perform a show, but in the book they just show up in her other room. In the movie, she fights her other father for the child's soul in the garden while in the book she fights him in a cellar and there is no soul to be found. Even though there are many differences in the book, I still enjoyed it. It was a good quick read that got me back into the spirits of reading. Feel free to go check out the book if you want and even watch the movie. But I'm off to read my next adventure.

So until next time....

Reading Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Hey there Bookies,

I've watched the movie countless times before I learned that it was a book. There are already many differences and I know about them because I watched a video about it on Youtube. I wasn't sure I was going to like the book because when you watch the movie first, it ruins everything. So far, the book is actually quite enjoyable. I know that this is going to be a fast read if I just take the time to read the book. But I figured something small and short would get me back into the spirits of reading. Especially now that I'm back to helping out at my old job where I sit at a desk all day and do nothing. Plenty of time to read. Wish me luck guys.

So until next time...

Sorry for the long delay.

Hey there Bookies,

I seem to do this a lot. I work hard at keeping you guys posted. I read books like I'm addicted to them. Then I just stop. The passion for reading disappears. I would like to blame my mental illness, but we all know the truth. I just don't make the time to read. I could read a chapter or two a day and get the book done in time. I can find time for my writing, so why can't I find time for reading? Anyways, I'm sorry for not posting lately. I'll try to do better. I can't make any promises, but I can try. That is all I can do because I am only human.

So until next time...

Started reading Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Hey there Bookies,

I forgot all about keeping you up to date on things. Blame the five days of no power and then trying to clean up after the storm.

I started reading Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon and once again we all know how much I love her books. I am even already halfway through the book. We learn a little bit about our dragons in the series. We met one in the previous book, but this book focuses on his brother, Max. Max was mated to a dragonslayer who comes from an Amazon tribe that was very set in their ways. She doesn't realize what she has until he is gone and she has his children. But sadly, the book starts out with her coming back into his life and dropping the ball on him. But the book has a lot of flashbacks and it is really hard to keep track of. I did have to reread a few things just to be sure I read it right. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up reading this book a second time. But anyways, I stopped right when war is about to break out. I wonder how this book is going to end.

So until next time...

Manga Post #19

Hey there Bookies,

It is so nice to have power back again in my house. I've been camping out at my uncle's house and using his WiFi. Also used that time to get some more reading done. But now I'm home and happy and able to finally update you guys as much as I want. Starting with the mangas that I picked up. I'm still one short a manga and looking for recommendations on a new one. But until then I will stick with the two I'm reading.

How many volumes does Naruto have? I'm just wondering because I feel like I'm almost done with it. With this volume we learn more about Sasuke's past. Its kind of sad because he was so close to his brother, only to be betrayed. Also you learn that he was compared a lot to his brother and he just wanted his father's approval. We all know that the big battle between him and Naruto is about to start. This is probably where I lost track of the series. I won't know until I actually start reading. But I feel like I'm just breezing through this series and it kind of makes me sad. Only because before I know it, I will finish it. And then I will be looking for another manga to read. I really enjoy the series. Both the mangas and the anime. I will try to go back to watching the anime, but until then I will stick with reading the series. Its actually the better of the two, if you ask me.

I know I have a long way before I finish this series. But it feels like I'm almost where I left off in the anime. I still love the characters the most. But the character we are focusing in right now is Nami. We get to learn a little more about her. Sadly the big battle hasn't really started in this volume, but it does hype you up for it. I just feel bad that I can't fully enjoy the manga because right now it is all just review. I got pretty far in the anime series and I'm kind of excited to see what the manga will teach me the farther I go. But so far, I still highly recommend the series and even the anime. I love all of the characters a lot. All of the different personalities makes for a very interesting crew. It makes the whole volume enjoyable. But I'm off to read the next book.

So until next time...

Done reading Son of No One

Hey there Bookies,

I finished the book sooner but due to weather and the power going out that lasted a few days, I couldn't post anything. But here I am after taking full advantage of the situation and got a lot of reading done.

Son of No One has names that I can't remember how to pronounce or spell, so I will just call our two main characters Jo and Cade. Jo being the leading lady and Cade being the leading male. Both nicknames are also used through out the book because it probably was easier on the reader. Anyways, Jo is a skeptic when it comes to the supernatural and she falls in some hard times. In desperate times she agrees to take a job as a camera woman for her cousin's paranormal show. Or, at least I think it was her cousin's. Anyways, while working she somehow gets sucked in another dimension through a mirror. Right away she is attacked by demons and saved by our leading male character Cade. The whole entire time she thinks she is either dead or dreaming because she is being skeptical about these things. With that thought in mind, she ends up doing some things with Cade that she didn't think she would do when she was awake. Sadly, Cade explains to her that she isn't dreaming and tries to get her home. Only problem is that, he can't. So Cade has to make a deal with the enemy in hopes to find a way to return Jo home. In the process they make a new friend/comrade. Then somehow Jo and Cade get their bodies switched and its an adventure trying to fix all of that. Eventually they succeed but Cade then breaks out in full demon mode and Jo some how gets home. But she demands to go back and save Cade from himself. After a few arguments and resistance, Jo gets her way and turns Cade back to being human with just a kiss. Nothing like true love's kiss to bring someone back from a killing rampage. Then they are back together again and they are able to bring Cade back into Jo's dimension. Then this is when I start wondering how long they have actually been together because if I calculated it correctly, it has only been about five days to a week. But anyways, he proposes to Jo and she accepts. Thorn then reveals something that makes me read over at least three times. Just like the time when Cade explained to Jo on why she could wield his shield. Then everyone lives happily ever after. Well at least for now because everyone has this feeling that something huge is on their way. The story I highly enjoyed and I'm a little sad that it ended so soon. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's book a lot and none of them have disappointed me really. Well there might have been one or two. But who is really counting? I also have a feeling that this series is slowly coming close to an end, which makes me sadder. I've been reading this series for so long that it has become such a huge part of my life now. What would I do without it? Pray for me guys.

So until next time....

Started reading Son of No One by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Hey there Bookies,

I figured I would get this book out of the way since we all know I'm going to like it. It's Sherrilyn Kenyon and we all know how much I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. I just started and the book is already pretty good. I guess the book is about Thorn's brother or half-brother. This just makes me wonder how this is all going to go down. I'm pretty excited. But I'm going to head out. I will go back to Alice in Zombieland the moment that I am finished with this book.

So until next time....

Started reading Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

Hello Bookies,

I'm on a roll with books right now and this next one is by an author who's book I haven't read in a long time. She is one of my favorites and I'm trying something a little new. I love the Alice in Wonderland stories, so reading a twist on it is going to be interesting. I'm quite curious about this book and I figured that I would get it and give it a chance. I've read about two chapters already and so far I like it. But I can't say anything else because I literally just started. I will let you guys know as soon as I am done or halfway through the book. Which ever comes first for my break from it.

So until next time....

Finished reading Born of Vengeance

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for not posting, but the good news is that I finished the book. I almost didn't because my writing took most of my time. Luckily, I had to take a day off from doing that because I was so into what I was doing that I was forgetting to eat. When I forget to eat, I get very sick. So after a day of just eating and resting, I had time to read and finish the book. I refused to let it down because it was getting so good.

The whole book is telling Bastien's life and how he went from royalty to being a very wanted man. Sherrilyn does a good job to make you feel bad for him for the injustice that he has to go through. Especially when a character you learn to hate gets him trapped and then framed for murder. Still can't believe that no one would believe he was innocent even after he proved it. But things did turn out great for our main character. He got the love of his life back, and also found out he had more family then he thought. Also I'm glad that there is going to be more books because I would not be okay with how this one ended. You can not end a series with a cliff hanger. You just can't. Also you know that I will be there when Born of Blood comes out next year. I love this series too much to let it go now. Anyways, go check out the series, you will not be disappointed. I do kind of want to dig out the books I own and reread the whole series because there is some stuff I don't remember. And, maybe buy the ones that I don't have yet. I'm pretty sure I got cut off from buying it when Born of Fury came out.

But I'm off to read my next book. Its really sad that this book ended sooner then I would like it to, but nothing can be done about that. So until next time...

Started reading Born of Vengeance by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Hey there Bookies,

I'm pretty sure this is the last book in the series and the thought of it makes me kind of sad. I take that back, I just looked it up and there are three more books in the works. So doing the happy dance right now. I'm not that far into the book and I'm a little confuse, but I know the more I read it will make more sense. I love the series a lot and I will read whenever I get the chance. The school year is wrapping up and I will have more time. Wish me luck guys.

So until next time....

Just letting you all know

Hey there Bookies,

I started another blog and this one is probably going to stay. The blog is where I write my stories for you guys to enjoy and maybe give me some pointers on what to do to make any of the stories better. You can go to https://lysrobisonstories.blogspot.com. It has always been my dream to be a published author. But this is probably the next best thing because I can never finish a novel anyways. But I hope you guys enjoy and share the love.

So until next time....

I tried...

I tired to read Allegiant, but I just couldn't. It is a very dry read for me and I can blame it being on the fact that I am very easily distracted. But we all know that I just don't like the book. I will get back to it eventually. I couldn't even watch the movie in full. Maybe I just secretly don't want to finish reading the series because it is that good. Who knows? Anyways, I recorded the pages that I left off at and I will get back to it when I can. Maybe when I have a week off from work, then I can just focus on it then. Sorry for not finishing the book or even getting halfway. It just wasn't fair to the writer if I can't even make myself read it.

So until next time....

Started reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Hello Bookies,

I have to be honest here. I remember nothing from the second book and apparently I've read it. I should have finished the series long ago before I'm sitting here trying to remember what happened in the last book. I am kind of hoping that the more I read the book the better I will understand all that is going on. Also since we are being honest, I haven't started the book yet. I'm about to. I've seen all the movies and I can't even remember much from them either. So I'm doing well with my first impressions. I guess I just need to read the book.

So until next time...

Manga Post #18

Hey there Bookies,

Lets be honest and see who all missed these posts. It's been a while and I have all the books in my hands that I have been working on. Or at least the series. If I remember correctly, I actually finish a series in this post. So I will be hunting down a new series to take it's place. But enough of me blabbering and rambling, I'll get to talking about the books.

We all know that I love One Piece. It is no secret. Anyways, the battle against Don Krieg comes to an end and it seems so much shorter when I am reading it instead of watching it on the anime. But I still like getting the back story on how each of the members joined the crew. Sanji is now a part of it and it is time to help Nami out. I'm pretty sure that one is going to feel short as well. I don't know what to really say when it comes to One Piece. Pretty much everyone that is as big of a nerd as me has read it. Right now everything is all review on me and I can't remember where I left off in the drama. But I'm pretty excited to get to the point where I left off and learn more about what is going on. Wish me luck guys, I still have a lot of volumes to read. And for those that haven't read these, you are free to start. You won't be disappointed and you will fall in love with the characters just like the majority of us.

I am so much farther into the anime then I thought I was. It all is still review, but I think I am getting to the part where I left off. Sure I've missed some parts or haven't seen it, but it all still looks familiar to me. Of course, why is reading these battle scenes shorter than watching them in the anime. You would think it would be the other way around. Right? Anyways, I forgot all about the sand village coming to the rescue. And they ended things without really breaking a sweat. It just shows how strong these guys are. Anyways, the next battle is probably going to be the whole next volume. Naruto and Sasuke battle it out. Naruto tries to stop Sasuke and Sasuke is trying to get to the person who had promised him power to finally defeat his brother and get revenge. I'm kind of excited to see how that battle plays out. I've only seen bits and pieces of it and I have to say I should have read the mangas first because they are way better. Anyways, this volume didn't take long for me to read. I got it done in about an hour and it was pretty good. Not the best because I watched it in the show. But still pretty good. Check it out if you guys haven't all ready, but I'm pretty sure you all did.

I'm pretty sure this is the last volume. So all of the fighting will come to an end. I can't remember much of the past volumes, but that just could be because it has been a while since I read last. But the big final battle is going on and people are dying on both sides. And that is pretty much the whole volume. It is just a huge battle at different areas. Eventually the battle stops and they all take in what was lost. Some of the doves are badly wounded and can no longer work. Others are emotionally damaged while others are either dead or missing. The only think I like about this volume is that it ends in a cliff hanger. Like there could be a spin off later. Kaneki fought until the end and is most likely dead even though other ghouls believe he is still alive. But that doctor that turned him into a ghoul wants to create him again. Also the doctor has a handful of the missing doves, ready to turn them into experiments. But this is the last book and there is no more story to tell I guess. It kind of makes me sad to see this go and think that it went a little too quick. Anyways, you guys need to check out the series. Its pretty good, sure there are some slow parts but they are necessary to tell the story.

I'm off to find my next adventure. These were all pretty quick reads and I'm glad to have read them. Now I have to find a replacement for Tokyo Ghoul.

So until next time....

Finished reading Beautiful Burn

Hello there Bookies,

I finished the book. It wasn't as dramatic as the other books in the series, other than Tyler getting sick and tired of being pushed around by our drunk of a leading lady. She knew she had a problem and I kind of wish that instead of running away from it, she should have just gotten the help that she needed. That way she didn't have to constantly push Tyler away and give him constant excuses. Also her sister is a little messed up to purposely try to sleep with Tyler as pay back for sleeping with a guy that wasn't even dating her sister to begin with. But like I said before, all of this could have all been avoided if there was honesty instead of secrets. Also getting help sooner when people were offering it. But then the book would be really short if that was the case. Either way, I loved the book and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. I'm pretty sure I am almost done with the series. I think there is only one book left and that kind of makes me sad unless Jamie McGuire writes more in this series. But go check it out if you haven't yet. The whole series is worth it and I'm sure you will fall in love with the Maddox brothers as much as I have.

So until next time...

Halfway through Beautiful Burn

Hey there Bookies,

I think I should have gotten this book sooner if I wanted to get back to reading. Anyways, I'm a little halfway through the book and I can't put it down. But sadly work makes me do that. Anyways, our leading lady is trying to turn a new leaf. It was a little rough to begin with, but now she is doing pretty good. Not sure where the drama fits in other than that her sister's ex keeps throwing in her face that they did something neither of them can remember. My thought is that they should just rip the band-aid off and just come clean with her sister. That way her sister can appreciate the honesty and get over it. Or, hate them forever. But I think she would be less angry if they just told her instead of her finding out through someone else. That is something I would want if that ever happened to me. But our leading lady rather keep it a secret and pretend that it never happened. Instead she works hard with her new job and slowly falling in love with Tyler Maddox. I don't blame her though for falling in love with the Maddox brother. I love all of them and they aren't even real. But I'm seeing where the past mistakes come to ruin everything and who's mistakes are going to do it. I'm halfway and there is still a whole lot of story to read.

So until next time...

Started reading Beautiful Burn by Jamie McGuire

Hello Bookies,

The first book I'm going to attempt reading is Beautiful Burn. I love the Maddox series so much and have always been one of my favorite series of all time. I'm pretty sure that my time with the series is sadly coming to an end. I also know that I need to buy the books that I don't already have. I almost have all of them, but I still need to get this one and the one after this one.

Anyways, the book starts out with our leading lady Ellie. She is throwing a party and trying to ignore the emptiness she feels when she has too much money and no parents around. Also Jamie McGuire wastes no time to turn up the heat between Tyler Maddox and our leading lady. Their relationship is complicated within the first few chapters. But I just started the book, so I didn't get too far into the book. I stopped right when Ellie realized that her parents have completely cut her off due to their life coach Sally. Right away I don't like Sally and I can see why Ellie doesn't like her. They could have left the girl with something to survive on instead of just throwing her onto the streets to fend for herself. Some life coach if you ask me. But I'm ready to see what drama this book is going to hold. I'll let you guys know the moment that I know.

So until next time.....

Long time no read...

Hey there Bookies,

I am finally back after a long hiatus. And what have I been doing since the last time I made a post? I moved again. I was working until I didn't even know what sleep was and then I moved on to a new job at the local Boys and Girls Club. Probably the best choice I have ever made. Also I've been going through a tough time with my mental health and had to seek treatment for it, but I'm better now and back in business. Speaking of business, I also started my own business. A lot is on my plate that I didn't think I would have time to read ever again, but I'm willing to try.

Wish me luck guys.
