Started reading The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

Hello Bookies,

I have started another series. I'm a pretty big fan of Richelle Mead and you know that I've read a few series by her. So when I found this one, I just had to read it. My expectations are pretty high for this one. I hope I won't be disappointed. I'm just going to mention that I haven't read up on what this book is about. All I know is that Richelle Mead wrote it. That is all. So this is going to be an adventure for me. I've only read the first page so far and I'm kind of interested. I like how she starts it with the main character explaining that she didn't mean to take someone else's life.  Or, something like that. I hope the more I read the more interesting it will get. Now lets start this adventure.

So until next time...

Almost done reading Love Bites

Hello there Bookies,

So I was reading this book and I was thinking that in the book a year had to have at least gone by by now. Turns out it has only been a few months. I'm not exactly sure how many months but I'm guess at least six or seven, depending on when the first book took place. And then the thought came to me, that it has only been less than a year and this sixteen year old thinks she found the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with. I have admitted that I'm too old for this series and I can't help but do a reality check at this point. Sure love has no time limit when you have found the right person for you, but this is a seventeen year old that we are talking about. I'm pretty sure she just loves him because he is a vampire and she just wants to be one. I can pretty much predict how this ends. There are two possible way that this series will end. She gets turned into a vampire and lives happily ever after with her vampire boyfriend. Or, they break up and she ends up with her nemesis, Trevor. I was told that the person you could have hated to the core in childhood could possibly be your future spouse in adulthood. Anyways, I'm off track. The book has Alexander's  best friend visiting and the conflict in this book is that he has fallen in love with Raven's best friend. Alexander brushes it off to begin with saying that it is just a phase, but then his best friend does things that can't be ignored. Like stalking the girl he loves, and almost drinking her blood from a cut on her knee and exposing that vampires are real. About halfway through the book Alexander is not happy and is ready to send his friend away. With good reason since he almost exposed them to the world. So Raven has to fix the broken friendship because that is just the way she is. They eventually make up and things aren't quite back to normal. Not when Alexander's best friend has had a taste of Raven's best friend, making the pull to her even more stronger. But he is trying to behave and help Alexander out when a reporter comes around to interview Alexander about his paintings. Even though they tried to avoid Raven's best friend, she still managed to drag the two to the soccer game taking place while Alexander did his interview.  I also forgot to mention that throughout the book, Raven had been getting mystery texts from an unknown number. I was pretty sure it is Trevor harassing her again, but I knew that the book explains who these texts are coming from. I think she was getting them as well in the previous two books, but I can't really remember. Anyways, Raven finds out who is sending her the messages. She is a little shocked by who it was and my thought is, why didn't he tell her sooner? Instead he just acted like a creeper with texts that said "I'm watching you" or "I can see you". Anyways, I stopped reading right when Raven was setting up for a small party with her two vampire friends that she made a couple of books back. It is all to get Alexander's best friend recovered from his broken heart. I'm curious on how it is going to turn out. But if you guys want to find out about the ending because I'm not going to talk about it here. Feel free to go check out the book and the series yourself. I'm pretty sure I only have a few books left and I'm more than ready to have this series over with. I've said this so many times before, but I'm really thinking I'm too old for this series.

So until next time...

Started reading Love Bites by Ellen Schreiber

Hello there Bookies,

I have yet another book that I remember nothing of the past books because the library has been closed for three months. All I remember is that the last book had Raven's boyfriend's parents come to visit. They also tried to take him back home, but some how they got convinced that he should stay. Then all is happy again. Honestly, I still don't know why I'm still reading this series. Probably because I started it and now I have to finish it. I have to admit that I am too old to appreciate this book. The main character is sixteen and never had a boyfriend before. Then she ends up dating a vampire that is the love of her life. My thought is that she is sixteen and there are many other guys out there. She should play the field a little bit before deciding that this is "the one". Anyways I am pretty sure I only have a few books left of this series. Each book has their conflict that involves the vampire world and this book has Alexander's best friend coming into town. Wonder how this is going to mess up Raven's perfect little world.

So until next time...

Manga Post #25

Hello Bookies,

The library is open once again and I couldn't be happier. Sadly the library in my town is only checking out books that they have on their shelves. They won't request from other libraries until further notice. So I'm stuck with only one series out of all of the mangas I have been reading. Hopefully I can find more to read until I can get my hands on the other two series I was reading.

I have to be honest here, after months of not being able to read any of my series, I forgot what was going on in this one. I couldn't even remember how the last volume ended. So I was hoping that the more I read the more I will remember what happened in the previous volumes. Anyways they attempt to catch the abnormal female titan, only to have her call out for the other titans to destroy her body. Thinking that all is lost, they start to head back to the wall. Only problem is that the female titan comes back and kills everyone in the unit that Eren is in. Then when he fights back, she bites him out of his titan form and runs off with him. Captain Levi and Mikasa follow the female titan to save Eren and they succeed. They join everyone else and return to the wall. They are greeted with people who are unhappy about the mission and others who think what they do is making a difference. That is pretty much it. Nothing else is going on because this whole mission was just to see who the female titan was. I don't know if they figured it out or not. But nothing much happens in this volume. Just a lot of fighting the female titan and then return home. It is kind of like a filler in the series. But either way, go check out the series if you would like. So far I enjoy the series as a whole. But if I had to judge this on individual volumes, then I wouldn't say that I enjoy it. There are a lot of fillers that play into the story and makes me hope that it starts to pick up.

So until next time...

Finally almost done reading Cinder

Hello there Bookies,

Long time no see. I hope you are all being safe out in the chaotic mess that is going on out in the world today. Whether it is with the pandemic or the protests, I hope you are being smart and safe about everything. I would hate to see any of you being hurt or effected negatively due to the choices you or others make. With that being said, let's talk about Cinder for the last time.

I feel like nothing has really happened in this book since the last time I posted. I'm almost done and I have about ninety pages left. I am just sad that it took me so long to read this book. It just doesn't give it much justice. Anyways since I last posted the book a few things have happened. Cinder's sister dies from the disease right when she was about to give her the antidote. Cinder also is treated like a criminal to the point she is put on house arrest, which is just not fair because they treat her like trash anyways. The prince becomes the emperor. And I pretty much stopped reading right when Cinder got a message from a Lunar stating that the prince or now emperor was in danger. That the Lunar queen knew everything about him looking for the missing princess and all the plans he had for her. So I'm going to leave it at that. I am waiting to see how this is all going to unfold and who is going to be the one to realize that Cinder is most likely the missing princess. But if you want to learn about it more, go read the book. I may have found it boring and dry, but you might actually like it.

So until next time...
