Halfway through Found

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for not posting for a while. The holidays came up quick and I had to focus on that for a little bit. So when Christmas is around the corner, I will be busy with all of that as well. Anyways, I can't remember all that I told you about the book so far.  So if some of this is a recap from the last post, you're welcome. Anyways, Mikey convinced his uncle to dig up his father, only to prove that he was alive. But something is weird. His father was apparently cremated and then placed in a casket. Not sure why you would do that, but it kind of feels like someone is trying to hide something. Anyways, Mikey is more confused as he goes home and starts basketball practice. Things end up being weird there as well. One player supposedly moved and another one failed a drug test. The one that failed the drug test says that he was framed and asks Mikey to help him out in clearing his name. Also Mikey finds out that Ema has somewhat a boyfriend that she met online. But I guess he goes missing and it is their next mission to figure out what happened to him. The are slowly making progress in all of the mysteries they are investigating. It is just a matter of time until we see which one gets solved first.

So until next time...

Started reading Found by Harlan Coben

Hello Bookies,

Still have sprained finger, but I'm still typing about the latest book I'm reading. Well, I haven't started reading it yet. This is the last book in a series that I started reading a while back before I started this blog. I know this for sure because I tried to find the author in my already read list and found nothing. So I don't remember much because it has been so long. I'm hoping reading this book will make me remember all that has happened. If not, it looks like I will be rereading this series.

So until next time....

Almost done reading Wild Crush

Hey there Bookies,

I'm still adjusting on how to type with nine fingers that the full ten. It's not easy and I tend to forget. Anyways enough of about my finger and more on the reason you are here. Turns out I did review the first book and I read what I said about the book. So I'm not as confused but I would have done fine if I didn't read my notes either. Anyways, the story is about the good for nothing Vic. Well, he isn't really good for nothing, but he has the reputation because of the fact that he isn't afraid to fight for what he thinks is right. Like beating a guy up because he ended up hitting a girl. If you ask me, we need more guys like Vic where I am from. He is in love with his best friend's girlfriend, but being the loyal friend that he is, he won't touch her. And then this is where things start getting annoying for me. Monika, aka Vic's crush, knows that something is up with her boyfriend. But she just plays it off most of the book. Willing to lie and play the games to keep her boyfriend's image as the star student. At some point something happens and she feels like the secrets she is holding are a huge weight on her shoulders. All the while Vic thinks he killed his best friend. My thought is instead of keeping the secret, put Vic's mind at ease and tell him the truth. She doesn't have to tell anyone. But I really feel like Vic should know. I'm hoping it will happen soon, so that way Vic can feel like he deserves to have a better life than what he was told he was going to have. Anyways, I have a bit of a ways to go until I'm officially done with the book. I might post when I finish, I might now. I haven't decided yet. But if I don't, you guys should go check out the series and give the author some love. The book is really good along with the series. I highly recommend it.

So until next time...

Started reading Wild Crush by Simone Elkeles

Hey there Bookies,

I've been getting a lot do lately now that I have a little more time on my hands. I'm still not supposed to be typing, but I will rest my finger once I'm done with this post. Maybe. Anyways, I own the first book of this series and I read it a while back before I even started this blog. I think. But I don't remember anything from the first book because it has been so long. The think I like about these books is that you actually don't have to read the previous books in order to understand what is going on. Even though it does help in some areas. I have no idea what this book is going to be about. I'm just in it for the adventure it holds for me. Like I haven't even started it yet, but I'm ready for the emotional rollercoaster it is about to put me on. Wish me luck guys.

So until next time....

Manga post #20

Hey there Bookies,

I am working hard at trying to catch up on my reading. Also it's been a while since I did a post like this. The last one was when I finished the Tokyo Ghoul series. But now I have a new one series that is pretty popular these past few years. Or, at least it was last year. The other two series are ones that I have been working on for a while now and it is starting to get to that point of when I am asking myself, how much longer? But I still enjoy them and continue being happy to experience the character just much longer.

I've actually watched anime for Attack on Titan out of curiosity. I actually enjoyed it and got pretty hooked. Sadly, where I was watching it was only season one and I haven't seen any of the seasons following that came up. But if you know where I can watch those, feel free to share it with me. Anyways, I got my hands on the mangas for this series and I'm quite interested in what these have in store. We all know that they won't follow the anime exactly because you have only so many minutes to draw out the story line and what not. But let's all be honest here, the mangas are always way better. Anyways, with how fast I read this volume I am kind of sad that it ended so soon. Right now it is all just review because I watched it all in the anime. There are a few differences but it follows the manga pretty close. So I give the animators a round of applause for that one. I highly look forward to the next volume and I really enjoyed this one. It is all pretty much just an introduction to the titans and characters. A little back story as to why they are the way they are. And, I'm reminded of Eren's father being a complete mystery. Like the fact that he had something locked in the basement that he was supposed to show Eren when he got back. Also he gave Eren a shot for something before disappearing and never to be seen again. Kind of makes you wonder what it is all about. I can't even remember if you ever find out that mystery or not. I guess I just have to read more to find out.

The battle between two best friends has begun. Will Naruto win? Will he succeed in getting his best friend back? If you guys have seen the anime, you already know the answer. But the battle is still pretty intense. I could tell you guys more, but that would just ruin everything. Okay, you talked me into it. Naruto fails his mission. But they all look at it that they all at least returned alive and able to learn from their mistakes. I didn't watch the anime this far into the series, so all of this is pretty new. Even the epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke was pretty good. I do wish it was more detailed, but what can you do. I still enjoyed it and the series. I know the next volume will be of the aftermath of Sasuke leaving and they try to find him. Maybe. That might be farther in the series. For now all I can do is wait for the next volume. This is going to be a long wait.

The volume I got for this has seen better days and it kind of makes me sad. Who could treat these portals into other worlds so carelessly? Anyways, the battle between the fishmen and Luffy's crew is underway. It seems like it is so much shorter watching it in the anime. But the volume drags it out and kind of feels like it gives more details. But that can just be me. Zolo/Zoro wins his battle even though he is still suffering injuries from he last fight against Hawkeye. Sanji wins his even though he did something stupid and jumped in the water like they wanted. But once he used his had and got out, he was able to win. Then they were able to save Luffy who got himself stuck and thrown into the ocean. Now the big battle begins but probably won't be until the next volume. As much as I would like to read more, I have to wait for the next one to come through. Wish me luck on all of this waiting I will have to do.

So until next time....

Shadow Kiss: Graphic novel by Richelle Mead

Hey there Bookies,

I am not supposed to be typing due to my sprained finger, but I love you guys enough to go against orders. Its been a while since I read this series and also the other graphic novels. But after about halfway I slowly started to remember what was going on in the whole story line. These graphic novels are actually nice to read after you read the whole series because it puts an image to what you are reading. I know there is a movie out there somewhere, but I just haven't brought myself to look for it. Maybe I am afraid that it will ruin this image in my head that the books and graphic novels have put for me. I'll eventually bring up the courage to do it. But for now, I'm just going to try to catch up on my reading. Anyways, go check out the book series if you haven't yet and check out the graphic novels if the books aren't really your thing. I'm sure you will enjoy them either way.

So until next time....

Almost finished reading Coraline

Hello there Bookies,

I feel like I just started reading Coraline and I'm already almost finished. Just one chapter left. Anyways, I don't really know what to say about the book. The movie is pretty similar to it, but there are a few things that are different. Obviously things will be dragged out in the movie due to the fact they need to fill a certain time slot. In the book she gets offered the buttons during her first visit through the door while in the movie it is so much later than that. Also in the movie she watches the mice perform a show, but in the book they just show up in her other room. In the movie, she fights her other father for the child's soul in the garden while in the book she fights him in a cellar and there is no soul to be found. Even though there are many differences in the book, I still enjoyed it. It was a good quick read that got me back into the spirits of reading. Feel free to go check out the book if you want and even watch the movie. But I'm off to read my next adventure.

So until next time....

Reading Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Hey there Bookies,

I've watched the movie countless times before I learned that it was a book. There are already many differences and I know about them because I watched a video about it on Youtube. I wasn't sure I was going to like the book because when you watch the movie first, it ruins everything. So far, the book is actually quite enjoyable. I know that this is going to be a fast read if I just take the time to read the book. But I figured something small and short would get me back into the spirits of reading. Especially now that I'm back to helping out at my old job where I sit at a desk all day and do nothing. Plenty of time to read. Wish me luck guys.

So until next time...

Sorry for the long delay.

Hey there Bookies,

I seem to do this a lot. I work hard at keeping you guys posted. I read books like I'm addicted to them. Then I just stop. The passion for reading disappears. I would like to blame my mental illness, but we all know the truth. I just don't make the time to read. I could read a chapter or two a day and get the book done in time. I can find time for my writing, so why can't I find time for reading? Anyways, I'm sorry for not posting lately. I'll try to do better. I can't make any promises, but I can try. That is all I can do because I am only human.

So until next time...
