Started reading The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

Hello Bookies,

Since I'm reading second books of series lately, I figured it was time to read the second book for the 5th Wave Series. If you don't remember the 5th Wave, I have a page for the book with all of my thoughts on it that you can check out. Or, I could give you a quick run down on the book first book right here.

In the first book we had an alien invasion that seemed pretty accurate. People don't know how to act and think the government will fix it all. Aliens then turn off all power sources, cause natural disasters, and a big plague that kills the majority of the world's population. Then they kill off some more people by making another group think they are all aliens. Yikes. Anyways, a tiny group comes to their senses and rebels against the aliens and nearly escape with their lives. And that is pretty much all I remember from the first book.

The second book I haven't started yet. Just grabbed it off the shelf because I only have a few pages left in Insurgent and I learned from my last mistake on not bringing a second book. But this time around I forgot my phone, so no BAP to distract me. Sad face. Anyways, I am pretty excited to see a few things that the first book left out. Like how are they going to defeat an enemy they can't see because they blend in so well? And did Evan survive the explosion at the end of the book? Do Ben and Cassy end up together in the end? And how does the cover of the book play into the story? So many questions and so little time.  But first I have to wrap up the book I have now before I can get those answers. Also I wonder if their is a third book out or does the series have two books?

So until next time.....

Almost done reading Insurgent

Hey there bookies,

I'm finally almost done reading Insurgent. It was a tough road with everything that I have been doing, but I did it. A lot of stuff happens in the book. So much so that I can't tell you exactly what happens. Except that a few people die because they decided to run away from Candor, Tris turns herself in to the enemy, Tris escapes with an unlikely ally, Dauntless declares war after partnering up with the fationless, Tris learns some important information that she had to save, and so on and so forth. Reading the book makes me want to see how different the movie is from the book. Just from the small pieces I've seen, I can tell that the movie is once again nothing like the book. But I still want to watch it. Anyways, its a good book and I wouldn't of read it faster if I wasn't also working on numbers and estimates for the bookstore that I'm opening up. But I can see why these books got turned into movies. They are really good. Not the best because Romance is still my preferred genre, but I do enjoy the series. Now its time to wrap up this book and pick up the next.

So until next time.......

Reading Insurgent part 2

Hello Bookies,

I know what you are thinking, I didn't say much about the book in my last post. I just complained how the movie was completely different from the book. Lame, I know. So here it goes.

The book takes place right where the first book ended. Kind of like that by the way. Anyways, they head to Amity for safety. But they don't stay safe for long because the Erudite and half of the Dauntless come after them. This is where things get different from the movie. Or at least from the parts that I've seen. How they escape and get discovered is completely different. I won't tell you how its different, you just have to find out yourself. Anyways, they manage to get away. Then they run into the fationless, who lead them to a very unexpected person. Kind of wonder what the story is behind the person they meet. We get hints but not all out say what actually happened. Maybe Four will tell us more later in the book. But so far I am just about a quarter of the way through the book. I stopped right when they were getting arrested. Not sure why. But I have a pretty good idea.

So until next time.......

Reading Insurgent

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for not posting in like forever. Okay, its only been a few weeks. But I have a very good excuse for not posting. Two them to be more honest. The first one is that the new pokemon app came out just recently. I think about a week to a week and a half. And come on, its my childhood dream come true. Sure I'm not doing as well as most people, but that doesn't matter to me. As long as I catch them all. Also my other excuse is more understandable. I'm opening a bookstore guys. I got the location picked out already in my hometown and now am currently on getting the required funding to start up officially. I'm so excited that I get to own my own bookstore and provide the hours that everyone wants. Like having it open twenty-four hours with free coffee.

Anyways, enough of my excuses. I did some major catching up on reading on the book Insurgent. And can I say that it is totally different from the small pieces I've seen from the movie. Like the movie went way off from the book. It kind of amazes me that Hollywood would do such a thing. I know the first movie was nothing like the book as well. But this time around they didn't even stick to the story line. Its like why even bother saying that it was taken after a book. Kind of makes me nervous about the other movies that are out for the rest of the series. Either way, I'm highly enjoying the book and my goal is to have it done by the end of the week. If not. You all can send me hate mail. But I'm going to head out for now.

So until next time.......

Started reading Insurgent

Hello Bookies,

I actually didn't start reading the book yet, but I figured I'd do a first impressions post anyways. Only because I only saw bits and pieces of the movie. So you can say that I'm actually reading the book before the movie. I'm so excited. The first book was pretty good, so I have high expectations for this book. Also the symbol on the cover looks pretty cool. I wish I could remember what the symbol looked like for Divergent, but I don't have that book. I have the movie cover. Sad face. Anyways, I'm excited to read this book after a long wait. I'm going to start right now in fact.

So until next time.....

Calling it quits with A Discovery of Witches

Hey there Bookies,

I really hate to say that I'm no longer reading A Discovery of Witches. Okay. I admit, I'm not sad to see this book go back. In fact I'm kind of happy. I hate this book with a passion. Its boring to me. Nothing exciting happens at all in the first third portion of the book. I don't like books like that. I want the action with a good romance. Not a whole chapter on what they had for dinner and talking about the good old days. Trust me there are like four of those kinds of chapters. In other words, I don't like this book. But don't have my opinion stop you from reading it. Someone had to think it was good or it wouldn't be on bookshelves. Right? So check out the book, maybe you would think its the best book ever. But I don't. So I'm going on to the next one. I really wanted to finish this book and see what happened to her parents. But I can't if I keep falling asleep every time I read. Maybe one of you can find out and tell me all about it.

So until next time......

Back to reading A Discovery of Witches

Hey there Bookies,

Yes, I'm back to reading this huge thing. I actually got it back sooner then I thought. I thought it would take longer. To tell the truth I was kind of hoping that it had. This is just a sad reminder that I don't really care for the book. My thoughts are pretty much on the fact that there is nothing going on except for the forbidden romance between a vampire and witch. Also there is the mystery on what actually happened to our leading lady's parents, but it doesn't really focus on her finding out. The main focus is on the romance that is going on and maybe a little too much. Yes the book is good. Yes it is a romance and I'm a sucker for romances. But I need more action than that. Lets hope it all picks up soon or I'm officially calling quits on this book. Even though I really don't want to. Fingers crossed that something exciting finally happens.

So until next time.......

Almost done reading One Tiny Lie

Hello my fellow Bookies,

I would have been finished with this book by now, but there is a bit of a rule at home that my mother has made. It the one where I'm not allowed to read and have to spend time with family. Three days off of work means three days with out reading. I was bored out of my mind to be honest. Anyways, now I have the book back in my hands and I'm happy once again. Its a book that I have a hard time putting down. If you don't believe me, just as my mother who had to pry the book from my hands. Anyways, there are so many things that are going on. There are even a ton of questions. Like the fact on how our leading lady got her nickname Irish. Also you don't know much about Ashton, just hints. So you have to keep reading in order to find out the truth. Lets just be straight here, you can't put down the book because there is just too much happening. You are even hoping that the two lead characters end up together in the end and live happily ever after. Even though you know that they will, but you still read anyways. Because who knows? The author might throw a huge twist in the mix to throw you for a loop. (Cough Cough Molly McAdams.) Either way I highly suggest you read this book. And if you haven't read the first one, go read that one as well. You don't have to, but it might help with some of the backstory. Now I'm going to wrap up this book and order the third book because someone at the library doesn't know how to count. How can you have a series without the third book?

So until next time.....

Reading One Tiny Lie

Hello my fellow Bookies,

I'm halfway through the book or at least just about there. The book is quite sweet and it has that typical story line where a girl likes a guy that she knows that she shouldn't. But no matter how over played the plot is, I am still a complete sucker for it. Our leading lady wants to live as perfect as she has always been. Only in honor of her parents' memory and she even ends up dating a guy that they would highly approve of. Sadly the problem is that she has major hots for the best friend. I'm still waiting for the title to take place in the story and I sense a secret relationship coming up. Maybe even a few friendships coming to an end. Basically I sense drama, and I love witnessing drama. They can be so entertaining at times. Especially when a love triangle is involved. I wonder how our leading lady is going to handle it as she falls for the best friend at an alarming rate.

So until next time.......
