Reading Electric Idol by Katee Robert

Hello Bookies,

I'm not fully recovered yet but I do have time at home when I am alone so I can comfortably listen to my audiobooks without headphones. Now I just have one thing to say about this author. The books I've read by her are super spicy and kinky, but then I get this book. This one is more based on the storyline than the spicy stuff and I have to be honest, I'm a little disappointed. We go from a book that is full of spice and kinks to a book that pretty much doesn't have anything going on other than our two characters just trying to fake a relationship in order to survive. It is just weird to have two books in a series that are complete opposites of each other. I'm only halfway through this book and the most spicy we got was Eros having 40 minutes to 'enjoy' Psyche and that is it. I'm sure there will be more spicy scenes, just not the ones I've been looking forward to from this author.

So until next time....

Let's Get Personal #12

 Hey there Bookies,

I'm just updating that I haven't been reading or listening to audiobooks because I am once again sick. This time I got a sinus infection and an ear infection. So I just haven't been up to reading and listening to anything kind of hurts if it is directly into my ear. I could listen to some books without headphones but they are the kinky spicy audiobooks and I don't need my family exposed to what I'm reading.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get back into doing book review videos in the new year but right now I have no computer because my brother stole my cables for my monitors. He was kind enough to leave me his broken ones but didn't even bother to hook them up. He also unplugged my keyboard and mouse to use and didn't even bother putting those back either. So I know what I will be doing once I am able to stand noise once again.

Other than that, I've just been recovering and working. My schedule changed a little bit at my job, so I have to get used to all of that. Especially when one of my shifts went from opening to closing. So used to getting up early on that day that it is hard to sleep in. Also I'm used to taking naps after that morning shift, so that is a habit that has to also be broken. It's a mess.

Hopefully, in a week I'll be able to update my thoughts on certain books and start back to doing book review videos. That is the plan right now. Get better, buy new cables for my computer, rehook everything, and make videos and updates. I hope it plays out the way I have planned but it seems like most of the time, my family has other plans for me.

I just feel like my life is a mess right now, because my mom started her new job so she isn't home a whole lot anymore. My siblings are so used to mom being home that they have to bug me because I'm the oldest and they want attention all of the time. Also my gramps is experiencing health problems but he won't listen to me or the doctor because "it hasn't killed him yet" mentality. Also I'm looking into moving because I need more space than my half of the room that I share with my cousin, who is never home but all of her crap is everywhere. It's a lot. But books are my escape from reality and I can't even enjoy that because of a stupid ear infection. Wish me luck everyone.

So until next time....

Started reading Learn my Lesson by Katee Robert

Hello Bookies,

We are going back to Disney Gotham. This is a book on kinks and it is the second book to the Wicked Villains series. The first one had Jafar and Jasmine. I guess this on has Meg and Hades. I believe there is a third person in this book but I can't really remember. I will have to read to remember. I just know that this is a book where it is focused on the sexual activities than on the plotline. So if you are into a really spicy book, this is your book. If you are looking for something not so spicy, probably think about reading a different book. I am curious on what this book is all about and what the story will be. Wish me luck reading this book without blushing.

So until next time....

Started listening to It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover

Hey Bookies,

I started an audiobook or at least I am trying to. If you remember me reading It Ends With Us, I have gotten my hands on the second book. I'm curious how this storyline is going to play out. Lilly left her husband and got a divorce. She is no co-parenting with her ex-husband in raising her daughter, but it isn't easy. She can't trust him after what he has done to here. She still lives in fear of him. Even though she cut as many ties as she could with him, she is still being a victim of his abuse. She does want a relationship with Atlas but she is too scared of how her ex-husband will react. I know healing from his abuse is going to be a lot of work but it isn't easy when you have to do co-parenting with your abuser. He even gets upset when she asks for her apartment key back. He ends up gaslighting her using the approach with their daughter. Also Atlas is getting his restaurants vandalized and he have no idea why or who it is. I have an idea who it could be but I can't be sure. I guess I just need to listen more in order to find out what is going to happen.

So until next time...

DNF House Across the Lake

Hello there Bookies,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I used my time off to try to listen to my audiobook of House Across the Lake, but sadly I could not. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed with this book. Being a new fan of Riley Sager, this one was kind of bland. Maybe I will pick it up once again in the future but for now I just don't have the motivation to listen or read the book. I can't tell you what happened since the last time I updated you with the book because I don't really remember. My mind refused to absorb the information due to the face of me trying to force myself to finish the book. Hopefully I can finish the book in the future. Maybe I'm just not in the right head space to read it at the moment. Maybe the holidays distracted me too much to focus on the book. Whatever it may be, I can't really rate this book fairly until I finish the book. But for now it is two stars for me.

So until next time....
