Coming up.....

Hey there Bookies,

So I'm still reading, but I'm still at 15% of the book. Yes, I read like forty pages and didn't move much in the book. This thing is huge. I'm tempted to throw in the towel, but I'll keep trying to read the book. No promises though.

Anyways, I thought I would tell you about some ideas that I'll be bringing onto the blog. First up, would be my top ten lists. A list where I tell you my top ten series, books, and what ever other book related lists I come up with. More work for me, but all the more for you guys to enjoy.

Second is that I might be bringing a little bit of my writing back. I am still avoiding editing one of my books, but I'm almost halfway done with another and making great progress with Eyes of a Killer. So three books are almost ready to be handed in. Now all I need to do is find a promising publishing company to take on the proposal I have that involves all of my books and ideas for them.

Last up is that I finally got my camera fixed. That's right, I'm going to try to post videos now. It failed miserably the last time I had this idea, but I got everything working and ready to go now. So you guys can finally get a glimpse into my everyday life. Its not exciting, but its something to do other then read about me talking about books. Right?

That is all I have for right now. If you have any suggestions regarding what books to read or what I can put up on my blog, don't be afraid to send me an email or a comment. I will take your suggestion into consideration and might even use it. Never know, right? But I'm going to head out and at least try to read a chapter. I'm really beginning to dread this book.

So until next time........

Reading A Discovery of Witches

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for not posting as of late. I had to pry my computer from my brother's hands. He has a serious computer addiction. Also I'm currently in Chicago to see my favorite Kpop band. The baby sis picked everything that we experienced today that was related to me not being able to read. I was able to squeeze in like ten pages though. Anyways, We'll get to that after I tell you a little bit about the book. I figured that I won't do this the traditional way only because the book is so big and it is going to take me forever to read it. Anyways, the book is about a witch who doesn't want to associate herself as a witch. And I guess the book would be about a witch since the cover does saying that we are discovering witches. But that is besides the point. Anyways, she comes across a mysterious book that has a bit of a mystery behind it. Its like every supernatural creature that exists wants this book. Apparently the story is that this book has the answer to everything about the supernatural world. Like where everything began. Only problem is there is a pretty powerful spell on it that makes the book's true nature impossible to read. Wonder how that is going to play out. Anyways, at least our leading witch has an unlikely ally on her side. Do I sense a possible forbidden romance coming?

Anyways, that is as much as I can tell you about the book since I'm only about fifteen percent through it. I'll try to squeeze in a few more pages, but its highly unlikely. Not when the baby sis if freaking out that we are in the same hotel as B.A.P. Not planned might I add? So far I've seen Yongguk, Zelo, and a little bit of Daehyun. But no Himchan. My years are still peeled to catch a glimpse of him. Sadly my main concern is to teach the baby sis that yes they may be somewhat famous, but they are still people and deserve personal space. Its a tough lesson to teach. Wish my luck on that one Bookies. But I really should head out. I ran away with the computer and hid in the lobby of the hotel. Its only a matter of time before the brother comes and snatches it away.

So until next time......

Update

Hey there Bookies,

The weekend is slowly closing in and that means that I'm not going to get much reading done. Not when I'm going to Chicago to see B.A.P. Its a birthday present for my adopted baby sister that I will for sure enjoy because I'm the one that got her into B.A.P. Now if only she can decide who she likes more in the band. She keeps changing her mind like I change socks. Anyways, due to the fact that I will be having a weekend of fun, I really need to get a good dent in the book I'm reading. I'm taking my time because the book is so big and it feels like it is taking forever to read. So far its pretty interesting, but I think the size of the book is what is getting to me. I need to swallow my fear and at least try to get a quarter of the way through the book. Also I've gotten my creative streak back. Which makes me extreamly happy. I missed my writing. I'm nothing with out it. Hopefully I can finish editing Donny and finish writing this one. Then I can hand them in and maybe finally debut as an author. But until then, I'm stuck reading and reviewing books. I can't complain really because there are so many books to be read. Also I'm getting ready to write up two business plans with my mom. One is for our music venue and one for a bookstore. But I need help with the bookstore. I need ideas on what people want to see when the got to a bookstore. What kind of hours do people expect a bookstore to have? You guys should let me know what you would like to see when going to a bookstore. I might actually use your ideas when I finally open up. Its all still on the drawing board.

So until next time.......

Started reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Hi Bookies,

First impression of this book is that it's a big book with small writing. I don't even know what it is about because I didn't read the little writing that gives you a hint. I'm kind of scared to even try to read this. I'm not scared like I think its going to be a bad book. I'm scared because I don't think I'll be able to finish it in a timely fashion. This book is almost seven hundred pages. I know I read books bigger then this, but that is from authors I knew who they were. I haven't heard of this one yet. I'm still going through my list of books from when I first signed up on Goodreads. This is very intimidating. Wish me luck Bookies.

So until next time......

Calling it quits on At Any Price

Sorry Bookies,

As much as I'd like to finish this book because I was really enjoying it, I can't. Its because the device I was reading it on is always in my brother's hands. Keeping me from reading it. Also I think you guys are getting sick and tired of me dragging this book out for so long. But if you want to see how the book ends, I suggest getting it. I know that I'll try to finish the book, but at my own time. Only because my brother is being a little jerk and is addicted to electronics. He also thinks he owns everything in the house. The brat. Anyways, go read this book, buy it if you have to. The author deserves the love and it is a good book. I feel bad that I just can't finish it at this time.

So until next time.....

Almost done reading Raised by Wolves

Hey there Bookies,

The time has come for me to make my last post on the book. I'm about 80% percent through the book and a big battle is about to take place. As much as I'd like to tell you about how they face the big bad wolf and defeat him, I can't. That would just ruin the book. So you all can hate me for a while. Anyways, Bryn uses her connection with Chase to her advantage. She listens in on the alphas that got together to talk about the rabid and decide that they weren't going to kill the danger. Bryn doesn't like it and comes up with a plan to do it herself. Well, sort of. Chase wasn't going to let her go by herself when he has a need to protect her. Anyways, I stopped reading where they showed up at the town where the rabid is hiding. Wonder how this is all going to go down. But if you guys really want to find out since I'm not telling you, I highly suggest you get the book. Its pretty good and I fairly enjoyed it. But I'm off to my next read.

So until next time......

Reading Raised by Wolves part 2

Hey Bookies,

I'm not sure what I have told you about the book so far. Only because its been so long. Sorry about that. Anyways, I've read about our leading lady, Bryn, make a promise to the pack that she is apart of. The only reasons that she made these promises was to see the new wolf in the alpha's basement. Then I read about her going through all this trouble to see him only to mess it up. She did something that she shouldn't have been able to do and gotten beaten up for it. But the new wolf is tied to her and they share a special bond. So special that he likes to think of her as his mate. Bryn doesn't like that all that much. She's so not ready for that kind of commitment. Anyways, her adoptive mom then takes her way from the pack to the edge of the territory. There are some pack members on the borders and they were going to stay with one of them for a while. I'm kind of waiting to see the new wolf, whose name is Chase by the way, disobey rules and go running after her. But I guess we will just have to wait and see what is all going to happen. Right now Bryn is hunting down the wolf that changed Chase because she feels like she has to know who he is. Also there are rumors that her alpha might have a bit of an extra supernatural power.

So until next time.......

Back to reading Raised by Wolves

Hey Bookies,

If you guessed my next read being Raised by Wolves, you would be correct. That's right. I got the book back from the library. It was such a shame to have to return it when I was halfway through the book. Sadly I don't have the energy to read it right now. I can't even finish reading The 5th Wave. I missed nap time, so my night is dragging on a little bit too long. Third shifts are hell when you are dead tired with nothing to keep you awake. I keep telling myself that I have a little less then four more hours to go. Its not working. Really wish I could read this book. But I only posted to let you know that I'll be reading this book as soon as I finish the one I'm reading now. Who's excited to get back to this book? I left off with her meeting up with the freshly turned werewolf. Also I stopped when she found out that there is a rough who turn our new werewolf roaming the woods close to home. Wonder what her alpha is going to do about that. But it will just have to wait.

So until next time.......

Wrapping up The 5th Wave

Hey there Bookies,

Even though I have like a quarter of the book left to read, I'm wrapping up my posts on the book. I'm sure you guys are sick and tired of reading about The 5th Wave and are wondering what the next book is going to be. All I'm going to say before the next post is that its a book from the past. One of the many that I haven't finished yet. There are like ten of them, but I'll give a hint. It involves some werewolves. Anyways, back to The 5th Wave. All the paths are all coming together now. Not sure how some of them are going to fuse, but its happening. I have a feeling I just stopped at a part where Ben's squad meets up with Cassie and Evan. I was also right about Evan, even though he is still denying it. Only because he is trying to not blow his cover. But why hasn't he killed Cassie like he was supposed to? This is also the part where there is a huge twist and Evan isn't what we think he is and Cassie is actually the alien. That didn't actually happen, just my imagination getting the best of me. Anyways, the book is pretty good. It has a bit of a slow beginning and it does get confusing if you aren't paying attention. Either way, I highly recommend the read. Next step is to see if the movie is just as good as the book.

So until next time.....

Reading The 5th Wave part 3

Hey there Bookies,

I'm two thirds through the book and a lot is happening. Also other point of views are all starting to fuse together. And, Cassie's high school crush isn't dead like we come to think. Well, he almost died. I think I mentioned this already, but I can repeat it. Right? Anyways, there are four points of views that I have seen. Cassie's, her brother's, Ben's (Cassie's crush), and the silencer (who I think is named Evan, but I could be wrong). Anyways, we still have to learn who is all the enemies and who is not. It just makes you want to read more to find out. Its like you can't trust anyone anymore. So how do you know who the enemy is and who is not when everyone looks human? The major question in this book. But apparently the military is not someone you can trust and Cassie knew that already, but Ben just found out along with a friend he has made while being trained to kill by the aliens. Also Ben has met Cassie's brother at training camp, but he doesn't know Cassie. Even if they shared some classes together and sat next to each other before all hell broke lose. I know the feeling of when you have a crush on a guy and he doesn't know you exist. Poor Cassie. Anyways, the book is getting really intense. Its like to the point that I can't put it down. But I am highly recommending for you to read the book. I also heard that the movie is pretty good. We will just have to see after I finish the book, right?

So until next time......

Reading The 5th Wave part 2

Hey there Bookies,

I figured I would do a post on the book sooner then expected. Only because its a very long book and I need a break from reading it. Its a lot of work trying to keep up with all that is going on. Anyways, I noticed that the different parts in the book are also different points of views. So pay close attention if you haven't read the book. Kind of makes you wonder how you can keep track of everything. So far it is all slowly making sense, but also creating more questions. We got our first point of view, Cassie, telling us about how it all started and what her family did in order to survive. Also we get to see all the things that she had to go through after being forced to be alone. The next point of view is Cassie's high school crush, Ben. But you don't know that until the very end of that part of the book. Also Cassie pretty much thinks he is dead anyways and he almost dies to tell the truth. Third part and point of view is through one of the alien's point of view. He's been following Cassie around, ordered to kill her. Only thing is that he doesn't and he isn't quite sure why. Also you don't know who his human host is. But I might have an idea on who it is. Probably the guy she dated when it all began. But I won't know until I read more. Also I'm kind of curious who's other points of view I get to read about as the book goes on. Do I go back to Cassie's or someone who was a part of her life? Guess the only way to find out is to read more.

So until next time.......

Reading Vampire Knight Vol. 16

Yes Bookies, its true. I read manga. And, watch anime. And I do a lot of other nerdy things. So don't judge me. Anyways, figured I would inform you guys about my favorite manga series. I stopped reading it for a while because the library stopped getting the series after vol. 14. But then I saw that it got all the other available books, and I just had to pick up the series again. Anyways, since its been so long since I read it, I'm trying to remember all that had happened. I know in the beginning you follow two students that are in charge of not letter the night class students mix with the day class students. The only reason for this is that the night class is full of vampires trying to pretend to be human. Then a lot of stuff happens. Like you find out that one of the two main students in a vampire hunter that was turned into a vampire. The main vampire reveals that the other main student is his sister. Sorry should of warned you about the spoilers. Anyways, there is one epic battle after another. The main vampire disappears for a while. Which is pretty much where I left off. There is other stuff that happens, but I can't tell you all of it. There were also parts that I just didn't quite get, but maybe you all can figure it out. Anyways, I'm going to go back to reading The 5th Wave. The book it getting intense the more I read. Almost halfway, meaning that there might be a post coming up. So until next time......

Reading The 5th Wave

Hey Bookies,

Sorry for not posting for the past few days. I honestly haven't been reading. More like catching up on sleep and just being lazy. Anyways, I figured I would give you my first impressions on the gook I'm reading so far. From what I noticed of the book, you really have to pay attention. There are a lot of time when she remembers something and the book seems to go into a flashback with out any warning. So basically the majority of the book is just one big flash back in the beginning. I can't say for the whole entire book because I haven't gotten really far. I'm only on page fifty and its a pretty big book. Anyways, I think the book is pretty accurate on how people would react if there was actually an alien invasion. A bunch of questions, skeptics, and hoping the government will fix it. I still haven't gotten to the part where she talks about the forth wave, but the other three I read about. Well, the second wave wasn't explained in much detail, but I got the idea. But I'm going to head out not. Its super early in the morning and I have a dog who keeps staring at me. After I let my dogs out, I'll get some more reading done. Hopefully.

So until next time....
