Almost done reading The Stone Prince

Hey guys, you are probably wondering where the hell I have been. Sorry, I decided to not take any books with me while I went to go see the awesome dudes of All Time Low. Biggest mistake of my life because that meant I actually had to socialize with my mother in the car. I was pretty bored. Anyways, I had a fun weekend, only to get called into work as soon as I got back into town. Its like they know. Luckly my trip to the East coast is just around the corner and this week is going to feel like forever. Funny thing is that I just noticed that I'll be in New York the same time as my favorite people. Different cities but same state. Maybe we'll cross paths when we get to Baltimore, maybe not. Who knows? Anyways, lets get to the real reason we are all here. Talking about the book. Okay so our main characters finally did the dirty deed. Blew both of their minds away and Katie almost told Jorlan that she loved him. Almost. But I'm thinking our big leading man is falling in love with her as well. Which is good, because she is good for him. But sadly Jorlan's brother has gotten into the picture. Well sort of. Either way his is set to ruin Jorlan's life and thinks that he just has to bed the woman that broke the curse. Funny thing is that he set his eyes out for the wrong woman. Lucky for Jorlan though. But I'm going to wrap up this book. This is honestly the last post on it. Sorry about that but that is just the way the cookie crumbles. I don't know what book I'm reading next. It could be Beautiful Sacrifice (if it arrives in the mail), or it could be any of the other fifty books I own. So until next time.....

Hey there

Okay, so I decided to try something. I had been trying to figure out on how to make it easier on you guys to read my past posts with out hunting down books and all that. So I am trying something. I made a page with links of the books I have read. I've copied and pasted all the post I made on that one book and then posted it like that. I'm not sure if it will work out, but I want you guys to be able to just look for the book you want and then read all of my thoughts on that book. So lets try this out. Tell me what you think and we will go from there. If you have any suggestions on how I should make it look, I'm all ears. But I'm going to head out and finish what I started. So until next time......

Halfway through The Stone Prince

So I'm finally about halfway through the book. I should be farther, but the weather is too hot and it makes me not want to do anything but sleep. I'm a horrible person. Anyways, the book is quite interesting so far. Our full of himself warrior is falling for our leading lady, but he doesn't want to admit it. Well at least not yet. At least we finally got past the whole 'I am man and you are nothing but a weak woman' attitude. But there have been a few heated moments. Even one where our leading lady's brother walked in on. You can only imagine what she would feel like at that moment. Some of you may have actually experienced something like that. Nothing like someone walking in right when clothes are starting to fly off. The horror. Anyways, I'll probably read a little bit more. I'm not sure yet. Its late and all I want to do is go home. I opened a window in hopes that a cool breeze would keep me awake. Sadly there is not cool breeze to keep me awake. The down falls of summer. So until next time......

Reading The Stone Prince

One day I'll figure out how to organize my posts based on the books they are about, but until then you will just have to hunt everything down. I posted this book about two weeks ago, give or take a few days. Anyways, I'm honestly not that far. Figured I would share the thoughts I have so far. I will have to say you want to beat the leading man right away. I hope his aditude changes in the book or I'm jumping in and strangling him. I hate guys who think a woman's place is by his side and quite. Thank the lord that mothers these days slap their sons if they ever thought that. Right now my mother is doing that to my thirteen year old brother. Not really its just a figure of speech. But come on. We should really beat the guys that think woman are just their for their amusement and to take care of them. That is something I will not stand for. And good thing the leading lady in this book doesn't either. She threw down some moves on the guy that he really deserved. Hopefully she doesn't back down or I'll be highly disappointed. But I'm going to head out now. I have some working to do and also maybe some packing for the upcoming weekend. So until next time.......

Still reading Sour Lake

It feels like I should be farther in this book, but Goodreads hates me and likes to laugh in my face. Apparently I am only like sixty percent through this book. It is making me mad. Anyways, things are going pretty crazy in this book. There are things that aren't what they appear to be. Some crazy men that die if they talk about what they found drilling. Then add in a forest full of dead bodies hanging from trees like slaughtered cattle and you got a book that is just as crazy as Sign. I think these books would be awesome games because they are so outrageous that a movie couldn't put these to justice. You basically have to experience the whole thing yourself. And, what better way then playing an interactive game. I'm just saying. If you were all wondering because I haven't really talked about it until I started reading this book, I did finish Sign and I have no words on that book. Just read it and you might as well get this one too because they are both equally crazy good. It just boggles your mind in a good way. Anyways, I'm probably going to take a break from this book for a while. I have a ton of other books I have to read. Even though I want to finish this book, but it is making me read slow and puts me behind schedule. I will pick it up as soon as I finish the huge stack I got. So until next time.......

Who is planning on seeing Ugly Love?

I figured I'd share the trailer teaser on here for those who haven't seen it yet. But I'm pretty sure everyone has. I know I will be seeing this movie as soon as its available. I loved the book and I just know that I'm going to love the movie. It would be nice to see how they brought the book back to life, which makes me pretty excited. So until next time.....

Started reading Broken Juliet by Leisa Rayven

Another badass book cover. I know I swore, but its the only way I can describe the cover. Its too cool to be pretty. Anyways, I had to con my mom into breaking my budget to get this one. I basically just gave up my CD budget for it. Which is fine by me because I loved the first one and I just had to read this. But sadly I won't officially start reading it until I am a little bit further in Sour Lake. This will just be my motivation to do just that. Luckly I can't watch anymore of The Walking Dead because my computer screen is being a butt. So I have to watch it on the smart TV in our house, but that is impossible with seven people all fighting over one TV. We have others in the house, its just the best one we have. Anyways, I'm going to head out. I have a lot of reading to do. So until next time.....

Finally halfway through Sour Lake

It is getting to that  point where my attention span starts to become shorter. As much as I like the book, I can't keep my focus. I blame my cousin on this one. If she didn't get me into a certain TV show, then I wouldn't have my mind on that show instead of focusing on reading. Tomorrow is most likely going to be a lazy day for me. Because I like to sleep in my comfy bed while cuddling with my dogs. Also I'd like to spend as much time with them before my crazy two weeks gets here. Nothing like a concert shortly followed by a trip to the East coast to make me missing my dogs already. But I at least get to see a familiar faces I know and love. One just more then the others. Also traveling to where my favorite writer once lived is pretty cool. Expect pictures of me hanging out with Edgar Allen Poe. Just saying. But I'm heading out for now because I have a book to read and a show to watch. So until next time.......

"New" Books

So I was able to get almost all of the books of The League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I just need the one that just came out. Anyways, I was able to get them for under a dollar on Amazon. I loved used books. Makes my book budget happy. Now if only I knew how to get around the fact that shipping is going to cost me an arm and a leg. Why does shipping have to be so expensive?

Anyways its getting closer to my East Coast trip. If anyone has any ideas on what I should see, send me a message and I just might check it out. But for now I'm going to go and play some games before I have to do some paper work at work. After that its full on reading with a little bit of The Walking Dead.

So until next time......

Back to reading

Hey guys, its your favorite slacker here. Come on. I know that is what you really think of me since I chose to watch The Walking Dead over reading. Anyways, I had to stop watching because I need something else to do on my long train ride in a few weeks. So excited for that by the way. Also I'd like to prove to my mom that I'm not addicted to the show. Just one of the characters because he's cool. I don't know why, he just is. Anyways, lets get talking about the book. So nothing much has happened in the book other then me trying to figure out all that is going on. But its getting to the point where they are thinking a vampire is involved. Or, should I say night walker? The book is pretty much just as crazy as Sign. Sour Lake tends to jump around as well, so you really got to pay attention to everything. There are clues everywhere but none of them make sense. Anyways, I'm finally about a third of the way through the book and I'll be trying to read more while at work. It all depends on how well my attention span is. Lately it hasn't been that long. I feel like my brother who has ADHD. That kid can only last halfway through Iron Man before he starts jumping around and picking on my dogs. Poor things. Anyways, I'm going to head our for now it is almost time to do our paper work for the day. So until next time......

Sorry for not reading for a while

I had a rough week this past week. It was the anniversary of my grandma Robison's death. I was pretty close to her, so I take the day of her death pretty hard. Also I seem to have gotten readdicted to The Walking Dead. I really hate myself for that, but I will have to say that I'm a Daryl fan. The guy is just to cool and I heard the actor is pretty chill too. But I will buckle down on reading as soon as I can. Which will probably be when I have no more episodes of The Walking Dead to watch.  That won't be long since I am about three episodes in through season four. I am a horrible person. But I just realized that my trip out East is getting closer. You have no idea how excited I am about that. Also twenty-six hours on a train means I will get a lot of reading done. Yay for you guys. But I'm going to head out for now. Its pretty warm where I live and I tend to get sick if I get to overheated. That means I'm going to go cool down and cuddle with my dogs in the basement. So until next time.....

The Stone Prince by Gena Showalter

Since I finally got about 20 percent of the way through Sour Lake, I'd thought I would reward myself with a little bit of romance. Also Sour Lake is just as messed up as Sign and I can only take so much of that stuff in a small time frame. It makes my head hurt because I'm so busy trying to figure out what is going on and trying to figure out who did it. Good book, just take me forever to read it. Anyways, I recently bought a Gena Showalter book off of Amazon.com and it seems to be in pretty good shape for getting it for only one cent. I think the title is pretty self explanatory  when it comes to the book. Basically some guy gets cursed, woman wakens him from the curse, then breaks the curse, and they live happily ever after. I didn't read the book, but I'm pretty sure that is what happens. Don't hold me to it. So until next time...

Still reading Sour Lake

I am no where near a tenth of the book because I have no concentration to read. No motivation is more like it. The book is good and I like how it starts, but for some reason I just want to play on my computer instead. Maybe because that seems to make time go by faster. I've been working for about eight days straight now. So you can see why I can't focus on anything. Late nights are boring, and take forever to be over with. Anyways, the book is good and kind of scary detailed. If you have a very good imagination but a weak stomach, I suggest you don't read this book. But who am I to tell you want to do. Read it if you want, just don't say I didn't warn you. So until next time......

Reading Sour Lake

So I officially just finished The Hollow and holly twist. So I get some answers on everything but I did not expect the whole reality on who Caspian is. My mind is blown more then Abbey's might be at the news. Sadly it just raises more questions. Looks like I'll be getting the second book.

Anyways, on another note, I officially started reading Sour Lake. And, I have to point out that it starts out a little gruesome. I admit that I may have written a book starting in a similar fashion, but it was for a school project that had to do with Jack the Ripper. But you have to admit that it does pull you in. Kudos for that, Bruce. Now if only I could stop murdering names in my head as I read the book. You would think out of all the books I read, I would be so much better with names. Nope. I'm still horrible at them. But I'm learning. Anyways, back to the book. Other then it being highly detailed at the moment, I'm just going to try to read it and find out what is going on in the story. So far I have a dead school teacher and a sheriff hiding evidence. I wonder what that is all about. Maybe I'll find out before my shift is over. So until next time.....

Started reading Sour Lake: Or, The Beast by Bruce McCandless

So my next book was pretty much chosen for me by three pleases and a bonus book. I feel like I was bribed to read this book. But I guess as long as I read the book, its helping an author out. Of course I have no idea what the book is about. I never read the backs of these things. And also I don't read the description when I enter contests. If the cover looks cool or if its by one of my favorite writers, I just pick it up and hope that its good. I'm a horrible person. Anyways, I'm going to head out and wrap up The Hollow and start reading this book. You have to admit the cover looks kind of cool. So until next time......

Almost done with The Hollow (Last Post)

If you noticed that I said last post, don't panic, it just means that its the last post for this book. I just wanted to point that out right away to avoid confusion. I'm not giving up on this blog just yet, so your stuck with me. Anyways, I have learned absolutely nothing so far. Just that there is some greater force holding Caspian back from showing how much he really cares about Abbey. The guy does all these sweet things for her, makes her fall in love, and then just nope, he can't do it. What an idiot. But I do say it sure gives it that soap opera vibe in a way. I don't watch soap operas, at least no willingly. It seems to be the only channel on at the hospital these days. Either that or sports. Gross. I swear my grans does it on purpose just to see me squirm. Anyways, I am almost done with the book. Its a bit slow, but I think that has to do with the fact that you pick out every little detail hoping that it would shed some light on everything. Sadly it doesn't. It frustrates me. I don't even have a theory on this book. I would of if her friend didn't actually end up dead. Anyways if I remember correctly, there is a sequel. Hopefully that book has more answers. So until next time.....

Getting there. (The Hollow)

Okay so the weekend so far has been pretty quiet. I have been able to get a lot of reading done. Which leads me to inform you that I'm about two thirds of the way through the book. Even though it feels like I should be pretty much done by now. Anyways, there are more questions then there are answers. We still don't know who Caspian or Nikolas really are. We still don't know why Kristan was by the river on the day she disappeared. We don't even find out why Caspian doesn't like Nikolas. What we do learn is that Kristan had a secret boyfriend. Not much is learned about that other then that the guy's name starts with the letter D. That is is. Also that D and Kristan were fighting a lot before she disappeared. I might also ruin the fact that Kristan is really dead. They find her body farther down the river, but that is about it. You pretty much get the feeling that she is dead, but aren't a hundred percent sure until you get about halfway through the book. At the moment I'm still wondering if my questions will ever be answered. So until next time.....

Reading The Hollow

Okay, I'm about a third of the way through the book. Which means I am farther then I 'originally' was. Sadly I'm not reading this book as fast as I'd like because its a slow book. Its kind of like one of the mystery books you read and you have to read it slow to gather every little detail. This book is exactly like that. Like I said before her friend goes missing and is declared dead after being gone for so long. There was only a small amount of blood found at the scene of the crime, indicating that her friend just hit her head and fell into the river. So everything has to be an adjustment for Abbey. Of course her mom thinks she just isn't doing it right and forces her to do things. Kind of makes me hate her mom. Also there is a mysterious guy named Caspian that shows up out of no where. He also doesn't like the mysterious grounds keeper named Nickolas. That is a mystery in itself right there. Also where the hell did Caspian come from, and who is he? I'm also curious on what actually happened to her friend. So hopefully I can read another third of the book before I have to write a post. I am not allowed to go more then two days of not posting. Fingers crossed I get a lot of reading done at work. So until next time.......

Started reading The Hollow by Jessica Verday

Okay so this is actually a book that I started reading a while back. I'm not sure how far back, but its long enough that I don't even remember anything about the book. All I know is that the main character's best friend has gone missing and is declared dead. That is all I know or at least remember. I will most likely have to restart this book all over again. Even if I'm already a hundred pages in, according to Goodreads. Such a shame. But I'm going to go read now. If I don't go to bed right away. So until next time.....

Almost finished reading The Hunger Games

I have about a third of the book left. Still think its not that great, but that is just my opinion. You can say that it has to do with the fact that it isn't the usual genre of book that I read, since most of the books I've reviewed are romances. Anyways, I just finished the second part of the book where there is now six of them left. Rue also just died. I heard that it is a really sad part, but I didn't get all emotional. Maybe I'm broken or something. I always get emotional when someone dies. I guess not this time. Something has to be wrong with me. Anyways, I'll most likely wrap up the book tomorrow in the wee hours. I won't have a computer with me, so this will be my last post. I have a trip I have to take because I have to visit my grans who is back in the hospital. Luckly its nothing bad. Just a broken back because she is old. Who would of thought washing your hair in the sink would brake your back? Poor woman. Anyways, I'm off to read some more. I hope I'll be able to finish it in the last two hours of work, but I highly doubt it. My attention span isn't that great with this book. So until next time......

Halfway through The Hunger Games

Okay, so originally I didn't make it halfway. But I can say that I read the first part of the book. So now I'm reading some new stuff. Sadly I can't help but compare it to the movie and I deserve to be slapped because of it. So far I'm still not thinking this is the greatest book I have ever read. I know I'm a tough critic. At least I'm trying to read the series. But at least now I know that Peeta's feelings toward Katniss ring true. Now I just have to figure out if she actually loves him or she is just acting for the hell of it. In all honesty I think she does, but not at first. To her, he is just someone who was nice to her and kind of made her feel weak. Hints that this guy is going to weasel his way into her heart. I'm sure some of have experienced that in life. Me included. Anyways, like I said, its still not great but it isn't worth the two stars I originally gave it. You can say that it just gained a star in my book. So until next time.......

Reading The Hunger Games

Fact, reading a book that you have already read half of kind of gets a little boring. It makes me want to sleep instead of read. Why I decided to read from the very beginning is beyond my understanding. It probably has to do with the fact that I can't remember where I left off in the first place. Anyways, we all how it begins. The book that is. Katniss wakes up to see her mother and sister cuddling. She goes out to hunt. She comes back and does some trading. She gets ready for the reaping. Her sister gets called. She volunteers. They take Katniss away after her last good-byes with friends and family. They get to the capitol. And that is as far as I got. I could say that they then get all pretty. Get shown like animals at a county fair. Go to where all the tributes are staying. And that will be all that I remember. I'm sure there is other stuff in between all that I said, but you either know what its all about or you can read the book yourself. Right away you see the differences between the book and the movie. I'm not going to say what they are because there is a lot. But that's Hollywood. So until next time....

Started reading The Hunger Games

Don't look at me in disbelief that I haven't read the books yet. In all honesty, I have read them. Well, to be more honest it was only half of the first book. I think I might be one of the very few who didn't like the books. I can hear your gasps of disbelief from here. I can't tell you why I don't like the books. Maybe because it just drags on and puts every thing in detail. And I mean everything. I'm more of a plot and imagine kind of person. I would rather create my own world then have a book tell me what to envision. But for the sake of the movies, I'm reading the books again. There are some things I don't understand while I watch the movies, and I'm pretty sure the books explain them. Like doesn't she really love Peeta? Or, will she actually end up with Gale? Why did they do a certain thing a certain way? If you know any answers to my questions, please keep them to yourselves. I'd like to find out on my own and I hate spoilers. I had to deal with that in high school. Also spoilers ruined Supernatural for me. I will never look at that show the same ever again. How dare someone write that the one died and that an angel took over his body. I hate you internet. And I know that you aren't supposed to read the book after you watched the movies, because you end up comparing the book to the movie instead of the other way around. Just bare with me people. Remember I read half of a book. I'm not completely in the dark. Even though you may think that I am. But I'm going to head out and wish that I was outside in this beautiful weather that Wisconsin is finally having. I can't go enjoy it because of two things. One being that I'm at work, and two, believe it or not, I'm allergic to the sun. I break out in hives if I stay in the sun for too long. I'd like to think of myself as a vampire because of that. But I'm off to go read the Hunger Games and leave you to judge me. So until next time.....

Almost done reading Dangerous Secrets

I was terribly wrong. As always. But it would of been cool if it was the brother. But it wasn't, sadly. Anyways, I won't tell you who it actually is because that would ruin the whole entire book. Anyways, there is some brotherly conflict that I am sensing. I believe two of them are falling in love with the same girl. I could be wrong on that too. But I have other feelings. Like that after doing the naughty or the dirty deed, Jake got Taryn pregnant. I am most likely wrong on that and she could just be horribly sick. Who knows? Only because I haven't officially finished the book yet. I don't even know which brother she ends up with. Most likely Jake since it is their story. But that could just be a huge plot twist right there. She could be all like "yeah I know we had mind blowing sex, but I am in love with your brother who I shot in the butt". Yes, Taryn ends up shooting some people because she felt betrayed. I give her kudos on that. Anyways, I figured I make this post before I pass out from work. Its been a long night of nothing and now I'm ready for bed. I even got my dog RJ to cuddle with while I sleep. But he's still slightly mad at me for going to work. The fact that he went potty on my hoodie proves it. He can be so naughty sometimes. Anyways, I also stopped requesting books from the library. I have a lot of books that I really need to read that I got through giveaways and also on my tablet. This is strictly going to be catch up time on all the books I have. Also I have like ten books coming in the mail. One I've already read. But I'm going to head out and thought you should get a heads up. So until next time.....

Halfway through Dangerous Secrets

Honestly I wanted to read more of Transformed, but the iPad decided to do a disappearing act from my backpack. In other words, someone took it while I was sleeping. Got to love siblings. Anyways, I'm half way through Dangerous Secrets now, and everything is making so much more sense now. I can breathe a sigh of relief. Also it would be a huge twist of events if one of the brothers was the one to kidnap Taryn ten years ago. My money is on Kane. I don't know why, but I am going on the fact that he likes to be alone and in the mountains. The place where the book first started. Insert dramatic music. Anyways, the book is pretty good so far. Its a little slow, but I think that is because you are confused as hell trying to figure out why the prologue is the way it is and the book is completely different. But I'm going to read some more. No ipad means no distractions and games. Also means that I will actually get some reading done. I'm a horrible person. So until next time....

Reading Dangerous Secrets

Before I talk about the book I'm currently reading, I will have to say that I would like to get part two of Never Never. How dare they end the book with more questions than answers. I would like to know how it all started. Not cool guys and its just mean doing what you did.

Enough of my small book ramble because if I continue, I'll spill the beans on what all happens. I don't wan to do that, luckly I have Dangerous Secrets to talk about. Everything is slowly starting to make sense now. Also there are some parts where I try my hardest not to smile or laugh. People would just look at me weird if I did. Especially at work. Anyways, Jake is about to murder his brothers. Only because one copped a feel while Taryn was sleeping. Another crawled into bed with her. Then there is one that wanted a kiss from her if he guessed her name right. I feel bad for the guy because he has no idea what his feelings for Taryn should be and his brother's are just not making it easy on him. I don't know what I would do in that situation, both Jake's and Taryn's. I'm just glad that we have internet back on at work. Technology decided to bite it today. Just went I get a whole bunch of guest ready to check in. I hated my life at that moment, but now that everything is done and over with, I can finally relax. Unless I have to make pancake batter again. So until next time.....
