I'm a complete slacker

Hello Bookies,

Wouldn't you know that I didn't read one bit during my days off from work? What did I do instead? I watched Kdramas the whole time. I suck. Anyways, I did try to read earlier today. Sadly it didn't work out because my baby brother wouldn't leave me alone. He kept showing me things on his phone that he was watching. Typical kid. Also, I'm still not reading. I guess Ji Chang Wook comes first. He is so cute. Very nice to look at. But I'll get to reading once I get sick of watching Kdramas. Which will probably be soon because I can only take so much in one sitting. But I thought I would update you guys on what was going on. I would hate to go MIA on you guys again.

So until next time......

Started reading Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh

Bookies,

I have high expectations for this book, and I'm so happy to finally have it in my hands. It's the sequel to Nevermore and I'm pretty excited to see what this book's pages hold. I can't even remember when I read the first one. But I do remember some of the things that had happened in the book. Like the fact that our main characters end up in some world that are like the live action version of Edgar Allan Poe's stories. They try to escape but our leading lady doesn't want to leave with our or leading man. Somehow she gets tricked into thinking that he is safe and she escapes the place. Only to find out that he was still trapped. I think this book is about her trying to find a way to get him back. I had trouble putting down the first book, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same with this one. Shall I dive into the adventure now?

So until next time......

Read A Silent Voice Vol. 4, +Anima Vol. 4, and Naruto Vol. 6

Hey there Bookies,

I got my next set of books and that means I have more manga to read. I feel like such a nerd reading these but I enjoy them. Well at least most of them. Still having trouble getting into one. Hopefully that will change soon.

There is obviously a message in this manga but I'm an idiot that isn't quite getting it. Or, I am getting it but my mind just won't process it correctly. Either way, I still feel like this series is dragging on a bit. I feel like that last few volumes have been about redemption and making friends. Trying to understand people and all that. Like how the mom is always acting like a witch but she had no choice since she was abandoned by her husband because their child was deaf. Stupid reason for a divorce, but at least you get an idea why she is the way she is. I still wish she was a little nicer and understanding, but maybe we will get there. Other than that, I have nothing to say really. Nothing much happens in this volume that is really noteworthy.

I'm slowly growing to love this series. The majority of this volume is our main characters taking part in a town that has an arena where they have fights as competition. Cooro and Husky sign up and Nana makes a new friend. Of course that new friend is a bit of a brat and punish those that don't want to be her friend anymore. Which this causes a lot of problems for our little group while Senri is causing issues all on his own. Like saving Rose's brother and being accused of being a kidnapper. Luckly our spoiled brat comes to the rescue. After that everyone lives happily ever after. Well, or group is still struggling to survive but at least they make an interesting adventure. I already have requested the next volume and I'm slowly becoming a huge Cooro fan. He is so cute.

Another Naruto volume complete and still not close to where I left off. Well, maybe a little bit since I did miss some episodes around this point. So I guess reading about the parts I missed really help me understand the whole series of the show. Right? Anyways, the second part of the exam is taking place since in the last volume it was just starting. I keep forgetting how fast everything actually takes place. So far there have been a few fights going on in the second exam. Including the huge fight between our three main characters and a ninja that is of course wanted by their village. They just don't know it yet since no one really knows that this ninja is even anywhere near the village. I'm pretty sure that the next part of the exam is in the next volume. This one is just about survival and getting to the tower on time. Makes it pretty interesting when everyone is fighting in order to make the cut.

I think I'm going to cut it off right here. Like I have said many times before. Go check out the books and give each of the writers some love. Even if you aren't a nerd like me, go get them. You might surprise yourself and actually like the books. But I'm going to head out for now because I'm slowly falling asleep and I need some coffee or something to keep me awake while I'm at work.

So until next time......

Finished reading Sweet Temptation

Hello Bookies,

Sorry for missing for a few days. I couldn't put the book down because it was really good. Also I had family events I had to attend that kept me from reading. But anyways, I'm done reading the book. Or, at least, almost done reading the book. A lot of the book is basically a refresher for me since I read all o the other books. Which I found quite helpful because I couldn't remember some of the big events due to the fact that I read all of the other books like two years ago. So I'm sitting there at some parts going, "I could have sworn this part was a lot shorter," or other parts I'm like, "I thought this was a lot sooner in the book". Either way it was nice to read and get reminded of all of the things that I didn't remember in the series. Like Jay's love child to be a little specific. But I'm wrapping up the book where the final judgement happens. So I'm going to wrap up that part and sit staring at a wall when I'm done. Only because I won't know what to do with my life until the next set of books come into the library. The waiting is so long. But go read the series if you haven't. I highly recommend it.

So until next time......

A third of the way through Sweet Temptation

Good evening Bookies,

I think this book is going to take me a while to read. Not because it's a slow read, but because no one wants me to fricken read. I've had to reread pages because it I was more focused on what was around me than the actual book. It's so frustrating. I need a sign or something to say to be quiet when I'm reading. Anyways, the book is completely in Kaiden's point of view. I actually love books that go into the guys perspective just to tell you what he is thinking at that moment. Kaiden had such an image in the previous books that made him appear like a jerk and closed off. Turns out that he only does it because it's his way of protection. He was taught that if he stepped out of line, he would be killed. So you can understand why he is so closed off. Also it kind of gets confusing when you learn a new feeling that you have never felt before. Which just makes this book even more interesting than the others. If not just as interesting. I was going to wait until I was about halfway before I posted about the book, but due to people that don't believe in reading, I decided I should post now. I'm not sure when I will post again, but so far I'm highly enjoying this book.

So until next time......

Started reading Sweet Temptation by Wendy Higgins

Bookies,

I finally have my hands on it. I've waited so long to get this book. Even begging to have it didn't work. But now I can read it. I loved the sweet series and now I have Kaidan's version in my hands. I'm super excited to read this book and I have high expectations for it. Only because I loved the other books so much. Sadly the cover is a bit beaten up because apparently people have no respect for books these days. But I will look past it because I'm about ready to open this baby up and dive into the world of Nephilim and demon Dukes. I can't even remember when this book came out that it's been so long. But I'm off to read. See you guys when I'm halfway.

So until next time......

Reading A Silent Voice Vol. 3

I have to be honest Bookies. I'm not really getting into this manga. I'm hoping that the more I get into the series the better it will get. I know that I'm only three volumes in and that there is so much more to the whole story. There isn't much to even talk about except the fact that Shoya is trying to fix his past mistakes. I kind of see him as annoying. Maybe there is a deeper meaning that I'm completely missing here. But I'm kind of getting tired of his second guessing and constant whining. But I'll give this series a few more volumes before the final verdict. I heard that it is supposed to get really good. I'm just starting to wonder when that is supposed to happen. It's just dragging right now.

So until next time.....

Finished reading +Anima Vol. 3

Hey Bookies,

So I finished +Anima Vol. 3. It was a lot of work trying to focus on the book and not let my mind wonder. I'm feeling a bit restless lately. Probably because I'm finally out of my dark mood. Which means more books for you guys. Insert cheering audience sound effect here. Anyways, I finished the book and I highly enjoyed it. Only because Cooro is so adorable. Anyways, their second adventure involves the military that they encountered in the last book. The military are looking for someone to create them swords but the person they go to refuses to. Well until they capture Nana and force him to do it. The meanies. But luckly our blacksmith eventually taught them a lesson and made them go away. With everyone unharmed of course. The next adventure is Nana trying to figure out if Husky is actually a girl or not. The ending to that is pretty funny. Especially with Senri trying to play along and follow what Cooro and Husky did. There is one last adventure in the book but I don't feel like talking about it. You guys can get the manga if you want to know about it. But I'm going to head out now. There is one more manga left before I can finally read the book I have been waiting for a long time to read.

So until next time......

A message from Kaito and me

Guess what Bookies,

My dog Kaito, yes I named him after a Vampire Knight character (Don't judge me), wanted to wish the blog an early happy third birthday. I can't believe that it's been three years since I started this. Sure I have had a few quite spells but I still stuck with it. Also I want to thank every one of you Bookies for supporting this blog for the past three years. Trust me it hasn't been easy for me but I'm glad that you have all stuck around. The official birthday of the blog is on July 5th. But I think I'm going to be busy that day so I thought I would post now. Maybe I will come up with something special that day. I guess only time will tell. But thanks again for putting up with me being a slacker and supporting this blog. Let continue to read and discover new stories together.

So until next time.....

Read the magna Naruto Vol. 5 and started reading the manga +Anima Vol. 3

Hey there Bookies,

Sorry for being MIA for a few days. I ended up getting a nasty cold and I couldn't get my books from the library. I think I mentioned I had a cold before but this one got really bad and pretty much turned into the flu. Only I would get the flu when it isn't even flu season. It's just my luck. Anyways, I got my books and I'm making good progress on catching up on all that I missed.

It didn't take me long to read through Naruto Vol. 5. Usually it doesn't take me that long to read through any manga. I think it has to do with all of the pictures and little bit of wording. Anyways, I have to admit that it took me a little longer to read the volume only because I'm still recovering and I fell asleep reading. The manga isn't so boring that it put me to sleep, it's actually quite good, but I still require lot of sleep and was pretty comfy in my bed. Note to self, don't lay down in bed when you are reading. Anyways, it's the chunin exams are underway. The whole volume is focused on the writing part of the exam and a little bit of the second part of the exam. I've pretty much watched anime episodes for this part so it is all pretty much still a refresher for me. Naruto was probably one of the first animes I have seen so it's also nice to see it in a different perspective. Basically in book form then in cartoon form.

Can I say how much I enjoy Cooro? His childish personality makes he all the more adorable. I'm slowly falling in love with the series just because of him. I also like how Husky tries to keep him in line but always fails in some way or form. The first adventure is probably an interesting one. It's all about Cooro making a friend who wants to fly to the top of a mountain where his family lives. That way when a storm wipes out the path to the village, he has a way to give them medicine when they need it. Cooro and his friend eventually succeed and save the day. Only thing is that the people they were saving from illness wasn't actually people. You are going to have to read to find out what I mean  by that. Anyways, I stopped reading at the start of the second adventure in the volume only because I have to do yucky paperwork at work. The down side of reading while on the job. At least I have a job where I can read manga and other books anytime I want. Unless I'm helping out guest. But I'm going to finish this manga and move on to the next one.

So until next time......

Started reading Beautiful Oblivion by Addison Moore

I'm on a roll Bookies,

My next read is Beautiful Oblivion by Addison Moore. It's one of those free books I found once again. Not sure where, but it was free. Anyways, I'm pretty much going into this blind as usual. I'm pretty excited to find out what this book has to hold. The last Addison Moore book I read was a pretty good one and I have high expectations for this one. She is still a new author to me along with a list of others who's books I've read recently. So far I have read only the prologue. Not much to tell from that. Except who our lead female character is. I guess I have to read more to tell you more. Right?

So until next time.....

Finished reading manga +Anima Vol. 2

Morning Bookies,

I'm beginning to enjoy this little group of +Anima. Cooro is probably my favorite since he is so energetic and easily influenced by food. Anyways, the first adventure ends up being about a village that makes honey and they think the young master of the manor turned into a monster and ate everyone. Turns out that it wasn't the case. The second adventure is that they meet two travelers and help them through the pass. Then they joined gangs. And I left off at the adventure of fighting a sea monster. Okay, so I didn't officially finish the volume but I'm pretty close. Close enough that I'm starting to like this series. The characters are so likeable and you can't help but love them. I wonder what is going to happen next in the next volume.

So until next time....

Beast by Ella James

Hey there Bookies,

I didn't think I would finish this book as fast as I thought I would. It was a pretty quick read. Since this is only part one, there isn't much to talk about. It's basically the back story on how our leading male character ended up in prison in the first place. It was just a bunch of bad choices that lead to one huge disaster. Our leading female character was a fan girl that just so happen to be at the wrong place at the right time. Things are starting to get interesting though and that is where the book fricken ends. Not sure how I'm going to get my hands on part two. My mom has a pretty tight hold on my money and I am not going into the money put aside to go overseas. I guess I will just have to wait until I read enough books that will let me be allowed to buy the next part for this series. Sad face. Either way I liked the book. It really keeps you interested and wondering what is going to happen next. The ending also has you begging for the next book. I guess you can say that I highly recommend this book. Maybe you will have better luck getting part two than me.

So until next time......

Almost done reading The Banshee's Embrace

I think this is it for the day Bookies. I'm just a few pages wrapping up this book and I plan on sleeping the moment I get off of work. I feel like crap. I won't have any energy to read any more books after this one. This should be a record for me, three books in one night. Anyways, things are getting pretty interesting in this lovely book. Our leading lady learns about her past and understands a little more who she is. She runs into the bad guys that killed her husband. Gets kidnapped and has a spell put on her to obey. But I don't think the spell is going to work because she is a strong young lady. Also we had a pretty steamy scene that makes you hope that everything works out in the end. Sadly I'm not going to say anymore about the book. You guys can get it and find out all that happens. I'm off to finish it up and maybe sneak in a nap at work.

So until next time......

No internet at work, get a lot of reading done

Sometimes it is a good thing when the internet goes out while at work. I was able to finish Naruto Vol. 4 pretty quickly. Sadly I couldn't post anything right away because the internet went out for at least two hours. Thank the lord that I have so many books in my backpack. I have about six if you want to know. Anyways, the big battle I talked about in my last post has ended in Naruto. Next volume with have the beginning of the exams to move up in ranks. I know what it's called but I just don't know how to spell it and I'm too lazy to grab the book and find what I'm looking for. But things are going pretty smoothly for this series. Probably a little too smoothly. Pretty soon I'll be all done with it if I keep up the pace. Sad face.

I started A Silent Voice Vol. 2 and finished it during the outage of internet. I was hoping for some more flashbacks, but that is okay. I guess now it's all about forgiveness and redemption from this point on since the main male character put the main female character through hell. I'm actually happy that they are starting to become friends now, but the mother needs to lay off just a bit. She should see that he is trying to make things right instead of slapping him everytime she sees him. The little sister at least finally started to warm up to the guy. I'm kind of interested on what is going to take place next. I wish I could say more, but not a whole lot happens in this volume. Hopefully I'll have more to say for the next volume.

The cover of the volume I got kind of makes me sad. It's been through a lot. The whole thing is falling apart. Meaning I have to be careful as I read it. I haven't officially started +Anima Vol. 2 yet, but I'm just about to. The internet came back on right when I got to the third page and then I had to put it down to do catch up with the paperwork at work. Anyways, I have a feeling our little group is going to get more members because it seems that everytime they go out on an adventure, they find someone like them. The next creature I have no idea what it is. You get a hint but the hint might as well just be a black blob. I guess I'll just have to read to find out.

So until next time.....

Started reading the manga Naruto Vol. 4 by Masashi Kishimoto

Bookies,

I got something to ask. Why is it that when I'm about to go back to doing my videos, I suddenly get sick? Does some higher being think that me making videos is a bad idea? Or, maybe they just want me to focus more on you guys since I have been neglecting you all for so long.  Either way, I'll be reading even more and being a busy body since it hurts to talk through a sore throat. Lemonade and ice have been my best friends for my recovery from this cold along with spicy foods. I am determined to burn the thing out. Sadly my hot sauce isn't working unless I drink it straight from the bottle and that stuff is gross by itself. But enough talking about my cold and starting talking about the book. Or, should I say manga.

I feel like I'm being judged so hard for reading these. Especially when I pick them up from the library. But I love mangas so I'm going to keep reading them because it's the next best thing to anime. Animes are also the next best thing to Japan. I love Japan and everything about it. I would like to go there some day. But I'm getting off track....again. I got my next book in the Naruto manga series. I already know what is going to happen because I watched the anime, but it is still entertaining to read. Maybe I should have gotten the fifth volume while I was at it as well. But oh well. Can't fix that now. Anyways, I just started reading and we are coming close to the end of the first major battle in the series. It's when Naruto and the gang fight against Haku and Zabuza. I keep forgetting how Zabuza is defeated, but I know Haku sacrifices himself to protect Zabuza. Good thing I'm reading this manga. See you guys in an hour.

So until next time.....

Halfway through reading The Banshee's Embrace

Morning Bookies,

For those of you who haven't noticed, I've been posting a lot more lately. That is because I'm making up lost time due to my injury that I'm mostly healed from. Hopefully I don't fall behind again. I still have to play catch up with my videos, but that can't happen until I finally finish my new desk which has been in pieces since March. Injuries suck. Now to the book I'm reading.

I have come to realize that I have a quick read on my hands. In a day I'm already halfway through the book and I'm a little more confused then seeing that it is all making sense. So I guess our leading lady is a Banshee, but yet not because she didn't die. Her husband was a wizard that died protecting her and now her crush of a bartender is her new protector. But eventually he will have to kill her. Then we have a bad wizard who wants to use her power for evil. This is all still a learn process and probably going to be a reread in order to understand all that my tired mind has read. I feel like a complete dunce right about now. Either way, I am enjoying the book so far. I'm waiting for some steamy scenes to happen, but this could be like the last book I read and not have one. Which is fine by me, but it still would be nice. I know I can be a bit of a perv sometimes.

So until next time......

Started reading The Banshee's Embrace by Victoria Richards

What's up Bookies?

So, I'm on to my next Ebook, The Banshee's Embrace. I think this is one of those books I found free online or something like that. I'm pretty sure I got this thing free. Anyways, I'm not sure what the book is about. I found it in my kindle and thought that I should read it. Also it is the next book that starts with a B. Easy choice there. But the cover looks pretty simple and interesting at the same time. I'm not sure how many pages there are, so I can't say if it is a quick read or not. I guess the only way to find out is to actually read the book.

So until next time....

Finished reading Back In The Saddle

Good morning Bookies,

I actually spent the whole night reading instead of watching Kdramas and playing games. So, be proud of me for actually finishing an actual book for once. I know it's been a while because I have been in a bit of a mood lately.

So I enjoyed the book. The main female character reminded me so much of myself that I found the book highly relatable. The book was basically her struggles on getting the guy she wanted that was way out of her league. Kind of glad that it worked out in her favor. Even if the book was entirely about her getting the guy. There were a few things that were pretty edge-of-your-seat moments that kept the story going. But I was kind of hoping they would have gotten together sooner in the book instead of at the very end. That would probably be the only thing I would have changed but over all its a good book. It had you asking for more once you got to the end of the book. Only because they hint that everything was just beginning. Sadly I don't have the book, nor am I allowed to get it until I go through all of my other books. Kind of makes me sad in a way. Eventually I will get the second book and I will let you guys know what I think about it as I read it.

So until next time.......

Finsihed reading Vampire Knight Vol. 19

It's over Bookies,

This is sad. I finished Vampire Knight. So now I have to find a book either similar to it or one that I will love just as much. The ending was kind of sad. Kaname sacrifices himself to end the attack of the pure-bloods. Zero got his memories back out of pure determination. But the ending was pretty happy and I kind of got the ending I wanted. But this is a bitter sweet ending for me. I'm glad that it ended the way that it did. But I'm sad that it even ended. Still a highly recommended book to everyone. Hell go get the boxed set for the whole series. Grab the DVD's too. This is probably the best manga I've read so far. But I could be saying that because this was the first manga I've actually read all the way through to the end. But go read it, enjoy it, and show the author slash writer some love. They highly deserve it.

So until next time.....

The last book of Vampire Knight

Hey there Bookies,

I'm not a hundred percent sure this is the last book. But if it is, I'm not ready. I love this series so much and having the last book in my hands is kind of bitter sweet. I'm like a high schooler writing to their crush with this book in my hands. Like I want to know what is going to happen, but yet I don't because I don't want it to end. But I'm still cheering for Zero until the very end. I know he's fictional, but I may have developed a little crush on him. See you guys in an hour, if I actually read the book after posting this.

So until next time........

Read my last manga of the week

Hello Bookies,

I honestly thought this would take me longer to read since it had three volumes in one. But sadly I finished it in a day. Anyways, I've watched the Naruto series online and when it aired on TV, and have been meaning to read the mangas for a while. I have to admit that I did start reading them at one point but stopped for some reason. So I figured that in my search of replacing Vampire Knight since it has come to an end, why not read one of my favorite animes? Even if I didn't finish it because the times got moved and my schedule got super busy at one point in time that made me fall behind on the whole series. Sad face. Anyways, I highly enjoy Naruto and all of the characters in the series. Is it bad that my ultimate favorite character is Sasuke's evil older brother? But that is for a later time because he doesn't show up until way later on in the series. Back to the volumes I just read. Which honestly made me feel like I just watched a whole season of the series on TV. Pretty much every chapter was an episode in the TV series. Naruto causes mischief, he graduates, becomes an official ninja, gets teamed up with a guy he hates, passes that test as well, goes on a mission, learns some things about the world, and so on and so forth. Not much to talk about. But I'm sure more will be discussed once I continue on with the series.

So until next time.....

I love quick reads.

Hey Bookies,

So I just finished my third manga and I'll tell you about it in a minute. But I just have to say that I love quick reads. Really gets me in the mood to read more. Kind of makes me realize how much I've missed reading lately. Writing is also another passion I've been missing these past few months. Good thing I'm finally healed after five months of recovery. I pray for no more wrist injuries anytime soon. I have too much catching up to do.

So I finished reading +Anima. I find it to be a pretty cute manga, even though I thought the main characters were girls at first and not boys. Oops. Anyways, there have been a few funny moments that I highly enjoyed. I actually look forward to the next volume of the series. Also I'm kind of curious on how many volumes there actually are in the series. I guess I will just have to find out. But so far, I haven't loved any as much as I do with Vampire Knight. Maybe this one will take it's place when I'm all finished. I like the humor and the little show that plays in my head while I read it. If this is an actual anime, I would really like to watch it. Just saying.

So until next time.......

Me being a nerd again part 2

Hey there Bookies,

So I finished off A Silent Voice and I'm not sure what I think right now. I guess I have to read a few more volumes before I can give my true thoughts. To tell the truth, I read a version of it online but that seemed a little bit out of order compared to the actual volume. Maybe I'll just stick to reading the physical copies from now on. Anyways, so far I do enjoy the series. But like I said before, it's a little too early to really share how I feel. Maybe a one or two more volumes will do it. I don't know. I guess we will have to see.

This book has an interesting cover. It's also the book my baby sister tried to read but didn't realize you had to start from the back. She has so much to learn. Anyways, I haven't quiet opened up the volume yet. But I did read about it being about shape shifters or something like that. I don't really know. Maybe I should have read the book before making this post. Well I can't undo it now. So I'm going to read this and let you guys know what I think later.

So until next time.....

Me being a nerd again

Hey there Bookies,

So, it is taking me forever to catch up on my reading count. I had to make a choice to fall way behind with my lack of motivation to actually read, or pick up some mangas to catch up. I went for the second option. Which brings me to my favorite manga of all time so far.

You guys know how much I love Vampire Knight, but sadly there is only one book left. I'm practically drooling for the next one after how volume 18 ended. Yuki how could you? I'm pretty sure I'm slowly becoming a Matsuri Hino fan as well, but I have to check out more of their stuff to know for sure. But I can't let Vampire Knight go. What am I supposed to do without Zero? Anyways, the series is still a high recommendation to those that love manga just as much as I do. Is it also bad to admit that Vampire Knight was actually my first piece of manga that I've read? I bet my mom is highly cursing that day and my former roommate for introducing me to manga. But if you guys want to know more about what I'm actually talking about, start with the first volume of this series. You'll probably fall in love just as much as I have.

A Silent Voice is a manga I've heard about on Facebook from my fellow nerds. I'm not sure what it's about but I heard that it will tear your heart out. Well, I'm sold. I've just started the first volume and so far we have a kid that bullies a deaf girl. Kid needs to get smacked a bit if you ask me. Anyways, I haven't gotten far, but I'll be sure to let you know what I think once I finish the first volume. I'll include it in a post related to another manga that I'm trying out for the first time.

So until next time......
