Finished reading Jet

Hello fellow bookworms. I have a feeling I'll be pulling an all nighter. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm going back home, and I'm pretty excited. I've been alone with my uncle's dogs for the past few days. A nice little vacation from life so I can work on reading and my blog. Anyways, I'm here to talk about a book with a hot guy on the cover, not about my small vacation. Alright, so after Jet gets out of jail, him and Ayden have a slight heart to heart. I say slight because Ayden didn't really tell him everything about her past. He said he was alright with it, and everything is swell. Or, so I thought. Some more people from Ayden's past pop up, telling the truth that her brother held back from her. She then just wants to forget, but Jet told her that he wasn't going to be the reason that they ended their relationship. Didn't do him any good, because after he found out that his studio was broken into, Ayden dropped him like a hot potato. I think its because she had an idea on who broke into his studio, and I think I do too. It was most likely Asa since he has been dropping threats every time he saw her. Anyways, Jet is beyond pissed and hurt that she ended it. Shaw even makes Ayden confess everything and demands to know why she broke it off with Jet in the first place. So they have a heart to heart. Shaw pretty much slapped some sense into Ayden with words. I say good. Anyways, after Shaw's pep talk, Ayden hunts down her brother. She is determined to fix his mess and make him go away. Hopefully it works. Also we find out that Jet's dad did in fact steal from him. His mom tries to convince him that he shouldn't send his dad to jail, just like he predicted because she is a sad case. Then my phone dies. So now you will never know the ending of the book unless you go read it. Sorry, I'd tell you more, but I just want to wrap this up. You may start the riots now. So until next time.....

Reading Jet part 2

So here is whats going down on the low down. I know I left with Jet thinking over his relationship with Ayden. Not much to talk about since it then goes to Ayden's point of view. Things finally get intense between her and Jet, and she realizes that now that the line as been crossed, there is no going back. I think Jet knows it too. Sadly Ayden sneaks out early in the morning and goes for a run. While on her run, she just so happens to run into her trouble maker brother Asa. He apparently ran into some trouble back home in Kentucky and is looking for Ayden's help to bail him out of it. She says 'no way' and hopes that was that. After feeling slighted that Ayden pretty much ran from him while he was sleeping, Jet heads off to his studio to work with a band that he has been helping create an album for some time. After talking to Ayden a bit, he realizes that band isn't working great with each other and wants to get to the bottom of it. Ends up the singer is being a spotlight hog, so Jet has to talk some serious sense into him. Then Ayden shows up with food, and Jet ends up have a serious talk with her. He tells her how he felt when he woke up with her gone, she apologizes, and then they both tell each other that they'll lay it all on the table one day. Apparently the talked worked for their relationship, and everything is all good and dandy. Why they are making this more complicated then it should be is beyond me. Anyways, Ayden is pretty happy that she hadn't seen her brother is a few days. But sadly her relief is short lived when she goes the school and there he is, talking to her ex. It was basically his way of playing nice with a hidden warning. Maybe Asa thinks that Ayden is still dating her ex and doesn't know about Jet yet. But, we all know that I'm never right with these kinds of things. One day I'm going to be, hopefully. Either way Asa is being a pain in the ass, even to me and I'm not even in the book. Also it looks like Jet also has trouble on his hands. So much so that he ends up in jail. Story is that Jet's dad started it. All I'm saying, and that this is quite a mess we have here. Wonder how all of it is going to get cleaned up. But, I'm going to head out. So until next time.....

Reading Jet by Jay Crownover

Okay if you read Rule like I did, you learn that Rule has a friend named Jet. Jet is pretty much a musician. Anyways, you know that Jet moved in with Shaw's best friend Ayden and Rule's other friend Cora. Jet and Ayden have a small history with the fact that Ayden tried to sleep with Jet, but he turned her down. He didn't want to ruin anything or make anything awkward. Understandable. Anyways, a year has passed and the two have formed a friendship, but it is driving them both nuts. So much so that Jet gets highly jealous of Ayden's boyfriend. She ends up breaking up with her boyfriend, but the guy was persistent and went to one of Jet's shows with her. Jet wasn't too happy about it. He stormed off and Ayden went after him. I give the girl props for that. Things go down in a backstage bathroom, and then Jet does something stupid. He screwed up so bad that Ayden ended up crashing at Rowdy's place because she couldn't stand being in the same building as Jet. Rowdy ends up talking sense into Jet and tells him to be at his place in the morning. Rowdy wants Jet to fix things before he looses the best thing that could happen to him. Jet takes Rowdy's words seriously and talks things out with Ayden. They both agreed that they would live day by day or moment by moment. No promises. Just see where their relationship would lead. Smart. Anyways, the next day Jet is on his own since everyone is busy and he goes to his mother's house. He hates seeing the way she lives, and tries to convince her to leave his dad. Jet's dad doesn't get the father of the year award, he isn't even in the running due to the fact that he would rather run off and live like a rockstar. Or, someone who is still twenty instead of like sixty. So Jet then leaves his mom's place and gets a call from Nash. Apparently everyone is getting together to go bowling, because there is nothing else to do. Jet first swings by his place, to find someone run out of the house and Cora waving a taser at the stranger. Apparently the guy knocked, stormed in when Cora answered the door, and then kept asking where 'it' was. Cora got pretty shook up by it. After Cora refusing to call the cops and wanting to continue sulking. Jet dragged her with him to go bowling with the guys. They had a good time and Jet told them what happened at the house. Some deep conversations happened that made Jet really think about his feelings for Ayden. And, I'm leaving it at that. Only because I'm mean like that. So until next time....

Finished reading White Hot Kiss

So the advantages of being in a different town dog sitting with nothing to do, I get a lot of reading done. So expect to see a post about Jet by Jay Crownover right after this. I'm actually halfway through that book already, believe or not. But, lets finish talking about this one first. I left off with Layla looking for an alibi to run off with Roth with out the gargoyles finding out. They are actually called Wardens, but I'm still calling them gargoyles. Gargoyles are cooler. Anyways, she did find a potential alibi. Only problem is that Zayne is completely against it. No matter how much Layla tells him to shut his trap or comes up with solutions, the guy shoots back how it could be dangerous and not a good idea. The jerk. Zayne's father okays it thought, making Zayne very displeased. Layla is happy about it though because that means she can sneak off with Roth. Layla's alibi is going to be that she is staying the night studying with her best friend, Stacey. Stacey is more then happy to cover for Layla, only thing is that Stacey is treating this like a date. I don't blame her since Layla and Roth are acting like they are dating. So after being dropped off and Zayne driving by like six times, Layla leaves with Roth. They had some time to kill before going where they needed to, so they grabbed a bite to eat and the hung out at Roth's place. They seem to go there a lot. Of course this time around things got a little heated. But then it was time to go get the key before their little session got a little too far. So they go get the key. I'm not going to tell you where because that will ruin the whole book, and because I can. But I will say that its a place that involves water. So they get the key, well after fighting some demons and whatnot. And then Layla gets busted. As in a gargoyle that she lives with finds her not being where she should be. And then every gargoyle that Layla lives with attacked, making Roth think Layla betrayed him. Honestly she was as surprised to see them as he was. Still didn't help matters because Zayne swept her away, preventing Layla from trying to stop the fighting. Roth disappeared and Layla gets locked in her bedroom. She knows that now she has some serious explaining to do. Of course, everyone is just mad and rather yell then work it out. Now Layla is locked away in her room as punishment. Luckly she is still able to go to school, but who knows how long that will last. Also she finds out that Roth has gone missing. Probably mad with the thought that she betrayed him. Either that or he was sent to the fiery pits of Hell. So I have less then sixty pages to read making me wrap up my posts for this book. You'll just have to read the book to know how it ends. Anyways, I liked it and there are moments where you want to cry or just burst out laughing. So I highly recommend the book, and I can't wait to read the sequel to the book. Sadly its not out yet, hopefully I'll get an advance copy. Hint hint. So until next time....

Reading White Hot Kiss part 2

Its not everyday you are told that you are the daughter of the mythical Lilith. But, in this book Layla is just that. And Hell is out for her blood to bring back a certain demon that has been wiped out of existence. Roth didn't even sugar coat it when he tells her all about it. He also admits that he is watching Layla as an assignment from Satan himself to make sure she stays safe. So he's her personal bodyguard that isn't  so hard on the eyes. Anyways, Layla doesn't want to go home but she knows she has too. She still puts it off until Zayne pretty much hunts her down himself. As soon as he gets a good look at her, he sees that the gargoyle that doesn't like her beat her up pretty bad. She was actually amazed on how fast he knew who it was. I also would like to add that Zayne ended up getting beyond pissed and was ready to rip the gargoyle's head off. Layla had to tell him the story Roth and her came up with in order to calm him down. She then had to be questioned as soon as she got home, and Zayne feels beyond guilty that Layla got hurt. He feels like that if he wasn't ignoring her, she wouldn't of gotten beaten up, or nearly killed. Good, I hope he feels like a complete ass. So Layla misses a few days of school because of it. The cover story is that she was in a car accident. The funny thing is that she was in a car accident, but got away with minor injuries. Nothing like adding a beating on top of that. Anyways, when Layla does return to school, she ends up skipping with Roth anyways. Apparently they both made it their mission for find some kind of key to prevent Layla from getting into any further danger. So they go see a Seer and Layla is shocked at how young the Seer actually is. Her world is all shades of gray now. Of course, she has a highly confusing riddle to solve in order to find the key now. How will she ever figure that out? Anyways, Layla once again gets attacked by demons on the way to Roth's house. Luckly Roth was there to keep her safe. The guy is pretty cool. Anyways, they get to Roth's place and Layla finds out who Roth really is. I was wondering when that was going to happen. Things also get more complicated between the two when Layla realizes that something has changed between them after the whole conversation about Roth. Then they solve the riddle the Seer gave them. Or should I say Layla's best friend solved it. Now all Layla has to do is find a good alibi so she can go with Roth to get what they are looking for. So far Zayne is putting up quite a good fight. So until next time....

Reading White Hot Kiss

Okay, so I am going to just jump in and talk about the book because a lot has happened since I last posted. So, I'm not sure where I left off, but I will say that there was a zombie in the school. It was on the hunt for Layla, and I agree with her, that's just gross. Anyways, Roth and her go down into the boiler room to get rid of the zombie. It went semi smoothly and she went home to report it. Of course she gets in trouble for fighting the zombie instead of calling someone to come and take care of it. That makes her semi mad. What makes it worse is that there is a gargoyle in the house that is out for her. I mean out, like he is determined to make her life a living hell when he is around. The guy is a class-A jerk. So the next day she ends up on a date with Roth. It was cute and it threw everything she has learned out the window. Poor girl. Of course, after her date all hell breaks loose. Nothing like a possessed cab driver chasing you home and causing you to get in an accident. Which leads to Layla being a pretty much locked down. Then she ends up getting in a big fight with Zayne. The fight is so bad that he stops talking to her. Who's acting like a child now Zayne? Anyways, since Zayne is completely ignoring Layla, he pretty much put her life in dangers. While the big machos came to visit, Layla gets attacked by the gargoyle doesn't really like her. His main goal was to kill him. Of course, Bambi comes to the rescue, but it wasn't quiet successful. So in desperate measures, Layla takes a soul. Doesn't work in her favor, luckly Roth saved the day. He even cleaned up the mess and took Layla to his place. She is quite interested on what she finds out about Roth while being at his place. She even finds cute little demon kitties. She also finds out that Roth likes to garden during his free time. Nothing like falling asleep next to a demon in a garden that he created. Talk about romance, right? Okay, maybe I lied and not a whole lot happened. Maybe I was telling the truth and that I don't remember all of it because I couldn't put the book down. I'm actually almost done. So I believe there will be one more post left for this book. I'm not sure yet. So until next time......

Started reading White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Alright, here is the new book I'm reading. And as usual I'm drooling over the guy on the cover. I really need to stop that. Anyways, I have learned that I really need to read what is written on the back of a book before actually reading it. That way I may have some insight on what is going on. But, maybe you guys like that about me. I just dive into a book, no hesitations. Anyways, our book starts with out main character Layla and her two best friends. They are all chilling before going to a study group. Layla bails on them because she is secretly a demon hunter. Okay, she just tags demons so the actual demon hunters that she lives with can go eliminate them from earth. Anyways, her easy demon turns into a big problem when it turns into a stronger demon. She could still hold her own, but luckly and even stronger demon comes to her rescue. He even has a snake tattoo named Bambi. Read the book and you'll understand that last statement. Anyways, Layla decides to book it while the two demons are distracted. She then goes home and spends quality time with her childhood crush, Zayne. You can say that these demon hunters that she is living with are gargoyles, and maybe just maybe Layla is half gargoyle. Anyways, she falls alseep talking to Zayne and doesn't get a chance to study for a test or do homework. The next day she goes to school and her best friend Stacey is someone I have to love. Speaks her mind and is all about hooking Layla with any guy that shows interest. Especially when the demon from last night shows up in class, making Stacey think he's the reason Layla bailed on them. Her running out of the classroom doesn't help matters either. Or trying to start a fight in the girl's bathroom. Of course I completely understand why she would want to fight, this guy is following her everywhere. He says its only so they can talk. This kind of peaks my interest. Anyways, after everything Layla goes home only to find out that the person that Zayne is supposed to marry has come for a visit. She's not to happy about it, so much that she went to her old spot from when she was a child. Zayne came running after her and spent time with her. I think Zayne has serious feelings for Layla, but being a guy, he's just not going to tell. Then she has to go back to school and face her demon once again, who's name is Roth by the way. I'm only three or four chapters in, and I'm already loving the book. So until next time.....

Finished reading Red Hill

I'll probably become one of those crazy people who prepare for a zombie apocalypse after reading this book. Its pretty damn crazy, and so believable that its scary. Anyways, the whole book you are wondering whether or not Scarlet sees her daughters again. Did Nathan's brother survive the zombie attack at the church? What other survivors are there? Is there an end to all of this? Like I said its pretty crazy. Anyways, a few people die towards the end. Some people I didn't expect to die did, and some I was pretty damn glad that they died. Sadly there is no end to the outbreak, but it is cutting down. I think its because all that is left is killing off the zombies, or they just ate everything. Anyways, I really like the book. I thought I wouldn't at first to tell the truth. I can't say that I loved it,but it did keep me on the edge of my seat. Jamie McGuire hasn't disappointed me yet. No I'm off to read the next book in my pile. So go check out this book, and maybe I won't be the only one that wants to prepare for the zombie apocalypse after reading this book. So until next time....

Reading Red Hill part 2

Nothing new is going on in the book yet. All hell is still breaking loose. Zombies are attacking people and eating them. Yikes. Kind of makes me want to create a panic room in case some crazy man decides to play God and bring the dead back to life. Just the thought is scary. Anyways, our most wonderful three main characters are fighting to survive. All in different way. One character is trying to get in to a town run by military. She has to sneak in to get her kids because the military is shooting anyone in sight. Which is even more scary. Another character is hoping that their car will last long enough to head to her father's ranch. Our last character is currently at a church with family and is doing what it takes to keep his little girl save. Also if you haven't noticed, I'm starting to make these posts as I read. Figured it would be better that way for me and you. Me, so I don't miss out on telling you guys something huge. Better for you, because I am pretty much giving you a play by play as I read the book. But I don't know what to tell you as I continue the book. So much goes on that I am afraid I might give something away. But, I do like the book and maybe I'll make one more post when I'm done with the book. Right now I can't really say what is going on the book. You just might have to get it and read it yourself, because I'm no help here. Sorry about that. So until next time.....

Reading Red Hill

So here's the low down on what I've read so far. In the book, apparently there is this highly contagious virus that is spreading. Apparently it is the work of some European man. Anyways, you have to pay attention because the book changes views between three characters. When you first start out the book, the virus is just rumors. Then by the third or fourth chapter, all hell breaks loose. Everyone is in a panic and is going crazy. One of our characters even see a man get mauled to death by infected people. It kind of reminds me of Resident Evil in a way. Maybe it was Jamie McGuire's inspiration. Either way, I'm actually liking to book so far. I was kind of scared that I wouldn't. So until next time......

Started reading Red Hill by Jamie McGuire

My next book is Red Hill by Jamie McGuire. Honestly I'm not sure what this book is about, and I'm not sure how I'm going to like it. It looks interesting enough. You can say I'm judging a book by its cover right now, but I like reading Jamie McGuire's books. Even if so far it has only been about the Maddox brothers. Which I want an advance copy of Beautiful Redemption by the way. Hint hint. Just saying. Anyways, honestly when I look at this book. Its kind of hard to believe that the writer, who created my fictional boyfriend, could write a book with a cover so....Creepy? I'm not sure its the right word. Maybe I should go with dark as a description for the cover. Creepy makes it sound bad. I don't want it to sound bad because I like Jamie's work. Plus she's nice. Anyways, I shall satisfy my curiosity and read the book. I have never been so nervous to read a book before. I think it has to do that the author is so nice and I just don't want her to hate me. Wish me luck, I might need it. So until next time.....

Finished reading Take a Chance

So Harlow has gotten the shock of her life as soon as she arrives in the city where her father was last scene. Rush's dad was nice enough to tell Harlow everything. She pretty much ends up storming off to her father's location. Harlow's anger then disappears when she sees how different her father was acting when she got to him. It broke her heart to see him the way he was. Anyways, everyone then flies back to Rosemary Beach, well except for Harlow's father because he's supposed to be on tour. So, while Harlow and Grant decide that they weren't going to hide what they are doing from Nan, the decide to face the music. Nothing like waking up in the morning to someone practically trying to kick your door down, screaming. Sounds like my house when the siblings decide to harass me. I'm kidding about my siblings. I love those guys to death, even if they drive me nuts. Anyways, apparently Harlow didn't get the memo that her relationship with Grant is exclusive. And, apparently having lunch with the tennis pro is off limits as well. Grant made that clear by crashing lunch and didn't take his hands of Harlow. Then things seem to be easy for a while, and then the media gets a whiff of a good story. Gotta love that media. Oh, I also forgot to mention that Nan got her ass kicked, hopefully that will change that nasty attitude of hers. Anyways, back to the media. They pretty much hound on Harlow and just so happens Grant finds out a secret through the media. He feels hurt that Harlow didn't tell him her secret, some drama happens, and Harlow leaves. That is how the story ends. Made me want to jump in the book and shake Grant. Why didn't the boy run after her?! He just let her leave. It is so unbelievable. If you love someone you run after them, not think that they lied to you and shut them out of your life. Grant needs some lessons from Woods on how to chase after what you love. I could smack that boy. Deff not in the running for best fictional boyfriend of the year award. Which reminds me, I didn't tell you guys if Rule knocked Travis Maddox from being my fictional boyfriend. And, sadly he did not. Travis still is the victor because I can't get past the scene of him on his knees begging for Abby to come back to him with tears in his eyes. It get me every time. Also Rule Archer did something stupid that made me want to slap him too. What is with these guys. Anyways, I need to get some sleep. I pulled an all nighter to finish Take a Chance. So until next time.....

Reading Take a Chance by Abbi Glines

I for once am reading the book my mom picked out for me. She said that she liked the title and told me I should read it. And, due to the fact that my computer is refusing to connect to the internet, I'm actually halfway through this book now. Anyways, I'm using my mom's computer and I have to get used to the fact that her key board is bigger then mind, and her keys aren't as sensitive as mine. I want my computer back. So enough about me complaining that my computer is having a temper tantrum, kind of like our favorite Rosemary Drama Queen, Nan. Anyways this book is basically about Grant and him falling in love with Nan's half sister Harlow. We all know Grant. The guy who is like a brother to Rush, best friends with Woods, and is pretty much a mess. I think Harlow would be good for him. Anyways, you have to pay close attention in the beginning of the book. It not only changes character's points of view, It also tends to change time periods. I think it is to explain what happened before Harlow came to Rosemary Beach. So Grant's and Harlow's relationship with each other kind of went pretty quick. She pretty much gave up the goods with in two weeks. He then ran off and supposedly was never heard from again. Grant says that he did try to call but her dad wouldn't have it. Harlow doesn't believe him one bit, especially when she caught him red handed sleeping with Nan. Now she just feels used and hates his guts. I don't blame the girl. Anyways, Grant makes it hard for her to forget him. Even Harlow's half-brother can't keep Grant from her, and trust me the guy pretty much tried by threatening him. Anyways, Kiro or I should say Harlow's dad goes missing. Making her have to sit through a whole entire plane ride of Grant explaining his actions. Of course, it didn't end like they planned and Harlow's brother ended up getting pretty pissed. He even threatened to tell Kiro about her actions. Harlow pretty much got after him for it. A lot of other stuff happened in the book before I took a break from reading at the halfway point. But if I told you all of it, it would just ruin all of the fun. So until next time.....

Finshed reading Rule

I would be done with this book by now if I stopped falling asleep. I hate coming down with nasty colds. Still wishing to be able to request a hard copy of the second book from the library. I'm beginning to really love this book. I would give it five stars out of five stars. It defiantly doesn't get boring. So here is whats going on in the last few pages of Rule. Things are going good. So good to the point that Rule actually starts to panic. He kind of almost slips into his old ways, but Shaw was nice enough to snap him out of it. She even gives him a good talking to that kind of makes him feel better and go back to normal. Sadly the next day while they are walking to Shaw's car, they both find out it pretty much gets trashed. I honestly think they should of called the cops, even if they had no proof that her crazy ex was part of it. They could of tried for another restraining order and Shaw could of told the police that she is terrified of the guy. But, Shaw doesn't want to because her ex's dad is a judge and she thinks it will all just get covered up. So Rule confronts the ex and he's starting to learn that the ex is pretty insane and doesn't really want Shaw. His ego is just bruised and says that it just makes him look bad that she is dating a guy like Rule after dating him. The guy is a Class A dick, just saying. He doesn't even care for the fact that Rule is threatening him and willing to go to jail in order to keep Shaw safe from her crazy ex. I'm officially scared for her. Of course, Shaw is a bad ass and instead of walking around looking over her shoulder, she pierces a body part that would make Rule's eyes pop right of his skull when he sees it. Then Shaw ends up visiting Remy's grave afterwards. Remy is Rule's dead twin brother in case I haven't told you yet. Anyways, the whole scene is sad and I maybe cried a little. Apparently Rule isn't acting like himself, and she was looking for some guidance on how to handle it. If I were her, I'd be cornering him asking what the hell was going on. Maybe he's going to propose. God I hope so, or he better have a good explanation for his behavior. Okay so Rule doesn't propose. Instead he makes a bigger jerk of himself when he starts playing Shaw's game and completely ignores her. He also turns his back on her when she lets out a secret that his brother Remy was keeping at a family dinner. Who the hell does that? I could slap Rule right now. So they were pretty much over. As a result to their break up, Shaw ends up getting attacked by her ex. Like down right he's-going-to-kill-her attack. I hope Rule feels guilty when he finds out because he shouldn't of left over such a stupid thing. Of course, he shows up at the hospital, saying he was sorry. Shaw didn't care because Rule should of loved her enough to work out their problems instead of ignoring her for like a month. So she told him that they just weren't meant to be because he never trusted her enough to just love him. I cried some more at that part. Its so heart breaking. Anyways, Shaw moved out of her apartment, understandable after what she had been through. She was now living with a co-worker of Rule's and I have a feeling Rule isn't going to go down without a fight. So for his birthday, Shaw realizes that Rule does love her but he doesn't really know what it was he was feeling. And, Rule get a heart to heart with him mom that makes you want to cry. We all know that Rule and Shaw are going to end up back together, so I don't think I need to tell you how it happens. I know I'm such a tease. But I'm going to try to figure out if I'm either going to read Take a Chance by Abbi Glines or Red Hill by Jamie McGuire next. So until next time....

Reading Rule part 4

I'm kind of nearly finish with this book and it makes me sad. What makes me even sadder is that I can't read the other books of the series because the library only has 'downloadable audio files' and I want the actual book. I also said it in air quotes because there is no way to download the file anyways, or I'm just too stupid to figure it out. The library should at least have a hard copy of the book for people like me. Anyways, I'm here to talk about the book, not complain about the library system. I can't remember what I told you guys about the book so far. I think it was the show for Jet was where I left off. So I'm going to tell you about the book from there. Anyways, Shaw was lucky to avoid the weekend with her mother so far due to the fact that her mother has been so busy. But then the weekend had come and she had to face her ex. Also she had to face her mother's pressure to get back together with her ex. Everyone keeps saying that they would never last and that he would screw up to the point she was going to get hurt bad. So when she does tell Rule about her trip with her ex, he pretty much gets mad and shuts her out. Shaw ends up going to her parents not sure what Rule is thinking since he pretty much talking to her. It even breaks her heart a little. Especially when she learns through her friend that he was with another girl. Find out that he was going back what he knew and felt terrible about it. Rule ended up driving to her parents to apologize about everything after his brother Rome talks some reason into him. It really drove Shaw's mom crazy when he arrived and had brunch with them. So when they were about to leave, Shaw ends up getting attacked by her ex-boyfriend. It freaked her out to the point that she just grabbed Rule and left. She didn't even tell him about it until after she broke down crying on the way home. He gets crazy protective, calls a friend of his for advice, and pretty much thinks someone should be with her at all times. I think that is actually a good idea because who knows what her crazy ex would do. Anyways, Rule is starting to see that he missed out on a lot by not having a relationship before Shaw. He also feels like its completely right with having her around. Even her calling him her boyfriend makes him feel like he can take on the world. So while he went to go get her car from her mom's house, he ended up stopping at his parents' house. Sadly it doesn't go well because his mom is acting like a complete bitch. Pardon my language, but I had to say it. What kind of parent shuts out their kid for something that could of happened in many different ways? Poor Rule. At least his dad is on his side. Meanwhile Shaw was learning that one of Rule's friends Jet got her best friend all in knots. I think this is why the next book is pretty much about Jet. Now I want to read the second one more then ever, but the stupid library haven't heard of hard copies lately. But back to the book. Shaw and her friend have a heart to heart and hopefully it gave her friend some insight on what she wants. Anyways, this post is longer then I'd like it to be because there is just so much going on in the book. I was hoping to be able to post this when I finished the book, but since I'm no where near finish. I'll just post. I'm really liking the book and I just hope there was a way for me to get a hard copy of Jet, the second book of the Marked Men series, and not have to pay a dime. I'm too broke to buy more books right now. Also I'm saving up for my relocation in the spring. So until next time....

Reading Rule part 3

I have learned to look before I click since the publish button is right next to the save button. So instead of reading and thinking I'm clicking the right button, I'll have to put the book down and actually look. Anyways, I'm about halfway through Rule already and I feel very proud of myself. It has been a while since I was able to read a book in two days. I missed it. So Shaw is having lunch with Rule's older brother Rome. The guy seems nice and he cares about Shaw like she is his little sister. Also he was able to notice that she had feelings for Rule, even when she was trying to hide it. Man, he's observant. But they have a good deep conversation about it and Rome thinks its a good idea that she tells Rule how she really feels. She just brushes it off, saying that Rule would never change even if she did tell him. Rome doesn't think so. Now if only Shaw's parents stopped trying to pressure her to take back her crazy ex. I'm so glad that I don't have parents like that, because I would slap somebody. Anyways, she ends up drowning herself in school work, and guess who hunts her down to have a little talk. Yep, it was Rule. Apparently he wants to talk about that night they shared and I guess he wanted to know why she left him high and dry. You can so tell they guy has it bad over all of this situation. Also it is his only motivation to see where an 'actual' relationship with her might lead. He wants to feel it out. That makes Shaw kind of hesitant, but she still goes for it. I hope she doesn't regret this in the end, but I don't think she will. Also Rule is going to realize this whole exclusive thing is going to be harder on him when he is giving up some very old habits. And Shaw is kind of afraid of that. Rule also gets the realization on how hard it was going to be at his friend's show that he had invited Shaw to. He knew he was in a situation that he wasn't used to, but he still wants to figure out what is going on between him and Shaw. Rule seemed to have relaxed when Shaw finally arrived to the show with her best friend. He was really enjoying spending time with Shaw and he had some plans with her later on in the night. Which leads to taking care of Nash and then ends with another sex scene. Shaw is now learning that she needs to learn to squeeze Rule into her busy schedule. But he tends to help her out by asking her to come see him when they both are done with work, or he just has her come to where he works and have dinner together. I also wonder why she didn't just have Rule go with her to her parent's house for the weekend. That way they won't think that all she has is a crush on Rule. Maybe then they'll get off of her back for once and let her live her life. Anyways, I'm going to wrap up the chapter I'm currently reading and call it a day. I'll pick up reading either tonight before bed or tomorrow morning. So until next time......

Reading Rule part 2

So I left off where Rule was playing knight in shining armor by saving Shaw from her ex-boyfriend. Of course he didn't get to finish the altercation the way he wanted due to the fact that the bouncer was the one that ended up threatening the ex-boyfriend and not Rule. But Rule is also now starting to realize that Shaw is pretty attractive and could be someone he would like to approach one day. I guess his friends were right when they said that if she offered, he wouldn't refuse. And it just so happens that she does offer, on her own birthday. Of course, she gets highly drunk and he tries to talk her out of it. Shaw wouldn't have it and kept throwing herself at him. But, there might of been something she forgot to mention in her drunken haze. So afterwards, Rule is in complete knots trying to figure out what is going on threw his head. Really he should just not think and just go with it. I guess he isn't used to having something change his point of view often. He even doesn't tell his brother about it, but his roommate Nash wasn't stupid and put two and two together. Smart guy. Nash also seems to be the voice of reason and told Rule that what he did was beyond stupid. But they continue talking and being the voice of reason Nash pretty much tells Rule that since Shaw is someone that puts up with all of his crap, he should marry the girl on the spot. I have to agree with Nash on that one. And since I accidentally published this post before I got far. I'll be stuck making more post then I want for sure. So until next time.....

Reading Rule

Is it sad that I really like Rule a few pages into the book. That is actually his name people, and I like it. Also I like how it starts with Rule pretty much kicking his one night stand out the door because he has to leave and she doesn't want him to kick her to the curb. Also I can just picture one of his one night stands throwing a rock at him as he walked away from them. Anyways, after the scene with his one night stand, Rule gets in the car with Shaw Landon. She I guess is an old family friend, according to the back she dated one of Rule's brothers. When I first read the book before looking at the back of the book, I'd thought she was his sister. They fight like it. Anyways, on the way to Rule's parents house, Shaw lets him know that his brother Rome is home after getting injured while serving in the army. So the trip has both Rule and Shaw having a nice little conversation. Apparently it's a rarity since they both don't really get a long and tend to just ignore each other. But I don't think it lasted long. Sad. Also I've noticed that if you don't pay close attention you won't notice that the book actually changes points of views with Rule and Shaw. The chapter will tell you who at the beginning. I learned this pretty quick because the latest books that I've been reading tends to be changing point of views a lot. So you learn that Shaw has been in love with Rule since the day they met, even if she ended up dating his brother in the long run. You also learn who Rule's twin brother died before you switch to Shaw's point of view. Anyways the brunch with Rule's parents is quite interesting. I say that because his parents basically pick out everything wrong with him. This starts a little fight between Rule and his parents. His mother starts crying and Rule is ready to leave. I guess its routine that Rule only comes over less then five minutes before someone says something they shouldn't. So on the ride home, Shaw gets sick with a migraine making Rule drive. Also he shows his sensitive caring side. Shaw is completely surprised by it. Then they decide that they are no longer going to do Sundays with Rule's parents making Shaw think she will never see him again. But as if fate was at play, Rule ends up at the place where Shaw works and saves her from her crazy ex. I'm not even done with chapter three and I feel like I learned a lot in the book. I didn't think I would making such long posts on this book, but it looks like I will be. I'm not complaining. So expect me to talk a lot about this book in the next few days. So until next time......

Started reading Rule by Jay Crownover

I know that I have like two books that I need to finish before I should read anything else. But due to the fact that I only have like a week to read Rule, I am not picking up the books that I started reading but never finished. That means that I won't read Original Sin or Opal until it is about time to return them.
Anyways, if you guys didn't know. I tend to pick one of the guys from the books I read and claim them as my fictional boyfriend. Travis Maddox has been it since I read Beautiful Disaster, my favorite book of all time. Anyways, just looking at the cover of Rule has me drooling over the guy. I'm such a sucker for tattoos and light eyes. So maybe I might have a new fictional boyfriend by the end of this book. Anyways, I honestly don't remember what the book is about. I've been waiting for this book for so long to come into the library that I completely forgot. That's what I get for requesting a book that no one wants to return on time. But, I now have it and I'm pretty excited. So enough drooling over the cover. I am going to open this book up and learn what it is about. So until next time.....

Finished reading Crave....Finally

Its done, I did it. Don't know why it took me so damn long, but it's done. Sad thing is that there is most likely a second book. I'm bowing my head in shame as we speak. Anyways, lets talk about the book. Since Tristan can't play football, and he ended up signing up to be an escort for the school dance team. I think I've told you this before. Anyways, Savannah that it was okay for some time, until Tristan pretty much snapped at her. He tried to apologize, she wouldn't have it, and then some things are said that really seem like they put everything on the table. There was also a kiss between the two, making Savannah freak out. Now the guy won't leave her alone. Tristan keeps asking her to go to dinner with him everyday. Savannah ended up coming up with a way to avoid him asking her out to dinner again, only Tristan is one persistent little bugger. He ended up writing a note instead and stuffed it in her lucky. I have to admit that is cute and I wished someone would of stuffed a note in my locker asking me out while in high school. The things some of us don't get. Anyways, Savannah finally gives in and thinks that just one date won't hurt anything. So they have a small picnic in the dance room at their school. It ends with some dancing and some kissing, but the moment is ruined when Savannah calls wondering where she is. So Savannah goes home to find out that her father called and that she must call him back right away. So she does and finds out that he's leaving. It wasn't until after nearly having a heart attack thinking that the council found out about her dating Tristan. Her father just wanted updates to tell the council. Anyways, Tristan and Savannah end up dream connecting and Tristan reminds her of times when they were kids. You can kind of think of it as a second date. Of course, Savannah spilt the beans on her secret relationship to her friend Anne. Which has her friend convince her that Savannah's relationship isn't real, because she gaze dazed Tristan. Kind of wish her friend didn't do that, or Savannah should of figured that Tristan had a charm to protect him from her powers. I hope this all works out before the book is over or I'm going to throw a fit. Anyways Tristan has finally asked to make Savannah his official girlfriend. Rules be damned, the boy is in love. Or so it seems. Oh, did I mention that I have a suspicion that Savannah is draining Tristan of his powers every time they kiss? That might cause some problems in the long run. Oops. Anyways, the Vampire Council has sent some vampires to watch over Savannah. She's completely creeped out by this and Tristan goes straight into guardian mode. He even asks his sister to make a protection spell, only problem is, the protection spell protects Savannah from her vampire half. So the charm almost kills her as soon as its put on. Which leads to Tristan finding out the truth about Savannah. He thinks she doesn't know about it yet, and is scared to tell her. This book got really interesting. Why wasn't it this interesting in the beginning? But, I'm going to wrap up here before this post is so long that it bores you to death. I honestly have a little over fifty pages left of the book, but I'm pretty sure that I can handle it. So until next time.....

Reading Crave part...I don't even know anymore.

I'm making this post to help us all remember what the book is about and what is going on. I can't guarantee that I'll be right on the dot since I'm doing this all from memory. Okay, lets begin. The story starts out with our main character Savannah, who is pretty much an outcast at her school. She also has failed in every sport possible at school, even resulting to ruining the gym roof with a volleyball. Anyways, she has a secret crush on Tristan. He's one of the most popular guys in school and is part of this whole group called The Clann. Apparently the Clann created the town that they live in and Tristan just so happens to be the son of the head of the Clann. Anyways, Savannah ends up getting sick for a week. That is due to the fact that her true self was trying to break free. I say true self because she just so happen to be half witch and half vampire. One of a kind as far as they know. Also something that The Clann and Vampire Council both agree on as being bad. So in the struggle of adjusting to her new self, Savannah decides to try out for the dance team for her school. She doesn't make the team of course, because the Vampire Council got word about it and told the judges to not put her on the team. Savannah was then forced to apply to be a team manager instead. It works in her favor and she still feels like she is part of the team. After joining the dance team in a way, Savannah snags herself a boyfriend. Tristan finds out about it and he just can't keep his jealousy in check. But luckly Savannah's relationship doesn't work out after she makes the mistake of using her vampire powers on her boyfriend and makes him highly obsessive with her. Tristan ends up getting a charm that will steer Savannah's boyfriend from her after she breaks up with him. Then one of the other boys that are part of the Clann decide to test Tristan to the point they start fighting and Tristan gets taken off of the football team. He could see his dreams of being in the NFL falling away from his grasp. So Tristan then signs up to help out the dance team, giving him the advantage of being closer to Savannah. I guess its a good thing if Tristan has a crush on Savannah. The rules say that they are supposed to stay away from each other, but they can't help it if they work together. Maybe these two will end up together by the end of the book yet. Rules be damned. So until next time....

Finally back to reading Crave

This book has been sitting on my table collecting dust. Leave to the fact that its due in like a week to make me read it again. I also have to admit that I had to look up the book in my past posts to remind me what the book is about and what is going on. That is really sad. So no more stalling with this book, I have to finish it or else I might have a riot outside of my house because I haven't finished this book. Some of you probably have forgotten all about this book. I think it's been like a month since I read it. Also as I was going through my recent posts, I can't help that in some I have really bad grammar or you have no idea what I'm saying. Its like my posts all got jumbled up. I probably look like an illiterate idiot in those posts. I really need to pay attention to what I'm actually writing. So I'm going to read Crave and actually finish it. That is my goal. If I end up stop reading it again, you have the right to slap me as many times as you see fit. I'm kidding by that last statement. So keep an eye out for more posts on Crave. So until next time.....

Finished reading Good For You

I think I'm just going to cut right to the chase with the book. So it's date night with Reid and Dori. The date wasn't in great detail but it was still cute, in a way. I'm waiting for the time these two finally confess their feelings for each other. Right now, Reid is beating around the bush and Dori is in denial, sort of. But their date does end with a kiss. Of course the whole experience confuses the hell out of Dori. Poor girl. Of course, Reid isn't immune to what is going on either. Anyways, I'm starting to really dislike Reid's best friend. Reid is starting to change for the better, but his friend wants him to continue partying and sleeping around. What kind of friend does that? If the guy wants to stop his old habits, let him change with out throwing a hissy fit. Anyways meanwhile Reid is off shooting a new film and trying not to beat up his best friend, Dori's sister ends up having an accident at work and it doesn't look good. Apparently she ended up in a coma, and Dori has a right to question it. I think there is more to the accident then what meets the eye. But I could be wrong. Anyways, in order to escape her pain and worries about her sister, Dori goes out with her friends and ends up getting really drunk. She even almost leaves with a complete stranger. And as if fate was at play, Reid just so happen to be at the same club as her and prevented her from doing a walk of shame the next morning. She still felt horrible for her choices, but at least she knew the person when she woke up. I think she also thought she was glad that she wasn't taken advantage of. So Reid gives her some clean clothes that don't smell like a bar, they just so happened to be his mother's clothes. Giving the excuse for her to want to return the clothes and a chance for Reid to take her out on a date again. They go on their second date and Dori's parents are starting to disagree with her relationship with Reid. I honestly don't think this is fair in any sense. They are pretty much judging the guy before they even get the chance. Sounds like my grans when I mention a certain musician around the house. People can be so judgmental. Anyways, I'm almost done with the book. I have about sixty pages left, so I'll wrap up the posts for this book. Also I'd like to remind everyone that I pretty much talk about books as if it were actually real life. I even do it in person. My mom sometimes seems to forget that and gives me weird looks. I just tell her not to judge. Anyways, I like the book. Its cute. I know I got one more book to read in this series and rumor has it that Brooke is going to cause some problems in Reid's new relationship with Dori. Makes me kind of excited to read the book. Also help me choose the next book I read buy voting on the poll. My adviser/mom is getting annoyed that I keep asking her and then pick the opposite book of her choice. I really need to stop doing that. So until next time.....

Halfway through Good For You

Okay, before I talk about the book I'm reading, I'd like to mention something that my most wonderful mother brought up. Due to the fact that I go a huge kick out of reading a book my little brother Joe brought home from school, my mom thinks its a good idea that I also read and talk about children's books. I kind of want opinions on this idea. My mom thinks it a really good idea, but I'm not too sure. So tell me what you think about her idea. I'd love to see what you have to say.
Okay, so lets talk about the book I'm currently reading. It is actually taking me longer to read due to the fact that no one leaves me alone in my house. Its like the moment I put on my headphones and open the book is the moment that everyone suddenly wants to talk to me or wants me to do something. It gets so annoying sometimes. Anyways, I'm now halfway through the book and not much has happened. Reid is pretty much growing on Dori like fungus. She even ends up breaking up with her boyfriend after almost kissing him after Reid caught her in front of all the cameras. It wasn't Dori's fault that someone pushed her because they were too focused on cameras to notice someone else standing there. Kind of made me want to possess Dori and give that girl a piece of my mind. Anyways, Reid has become determined to make Dori his because he has come to the realization that he likes the challenge. Also his old co-star Tadd seems to have helped him get into that state of mind. So things are starting to get complicated between them now that they both realize that they have a strong attraction to each other. I cut off where Reid pretty much traps Dori into going on a date with him. She is pretty much in panic mode now. I on the other hand am quite curious on how this date will turn out. So until next time....

Reading Good For You

So here is the low down on the book. Reid had a little too much to drink, and was dumb enough to drive while drunk. It ended up with him crashing into a house. You pretty much learn this when Reid wakes up in a hospital. Of course his dad is beyond ticked. The man has the right to be since Reid's first question is whether or not the car is okay. Reid's mom is kind of in denial and wants to 'fix' the problem. But, then you have to pay attention because the point of view changes to Dori within the second page. The poor girl has her hands full when you are first introduced to her. I'm assuming that she is helping out with a church or something like that. You also can't help but feel sorry for the girl when the group of kids she is helping out with end up being a huge handful. Poor girl. Anyways, the book goes back to Reid's point of view. Basically its his thoughts on what is taking place for his punishment for destroying a house. And, then it moves back to Dori. Just so happens that the house that Reid crashed into was the house she was helping out with for a family in need. Also I've learned that her father is a pastor. I believe this is all going to get interesting quick. So due to Reid's poor life choices he is now stuck working with Dori on the house he destroyed. Their first time meeting makes you think that Dori is about to kill the guy right where he stands. Poor Reid. The guy never stood a chance.Of course, it doesn't help his case by going to parties, doing community service hungover, and flirt with every girl that walks by. By day three, Reid and Dori have a little spat. Both end up angry, and one even ends up slamming a few doors. You can see that these two are complete opposites, but isn't there a saying that opposites attract. These guys never saw it coming. So until next time.....

Paused reading Original Sins and started reading Good For You

So I had to stop reading Original Sin due to the fact that it is taking me forever to read and I keep getting a new shipment of books from the library. I have to read the ones that I know I'll finish in a few days. I have to do it this way because I'm getting overwhelmed with all the books that I have. Anyways, the book I'm now reading is Good For You by Tammara Webber. I have pretty much read all of her books so far. I believe I have only two more to go and one just came out. I think, I'm not swearing on that. Anyways, Good For You is the third installment of the In Between The Lines Series. From what I've read on the back, the book is mainly focused on Reid. Apparently he was a bad boy and ended up doing community service. He then meets a girl named Dori and that is all about I remember from reading the back. We all know that Reid missed out on a chance with Emma in the former books, and lost her to Graham. Of course, even though the guy did the right thing, he still lost. Also Brooke lost out, but that is what the girl gets for doing what ever it takes to get the guy. I kind of wish that her and Reid had worked out, because the two are perfectly made for each other. So, I'm going to read this book, and I'll post when I'm a third of the way through the book. So until next time....

Gasp. My mom stole Opal from me

Hello there fellow bookworms. I'd like to inform you that I will not be reading Opal, because somehow while I was getting my computer the book just magically disappeared. I can hear my mother's evil laugh as we speak while she reads the book. So my mom is being a big meanie head and won't give the book back. Grrr. I didn't even get far. I only read like three pages before she grabbed it. The things that happen while I try to take notes during reading. I'm extremely sad right now. So I guess I'm stuck reading Original Sin until my mom finishes Opal. Sad face. I wanted to read about Daemon, not Luc. Also I think I need a catchy phrase. Something memorable and that will catch on nicely. Also something appropriate, I have family that looks at this. Anyways, keep an eye out for a post about Original Sin in a few days, unless I manage to steal Opal back. So until next time....

Reading Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Spoiler alert if you haven't read Onyx)

I'm have no idea what I've said about this book so far. So I'm going to do a slight recap. I say slight because I'm only going to tell you things from memory. Anyways, we all know that Dawson came back at the end of Onyx. Blew my mind by that. Wonder what that go pulled off since he wasn't at the location when they arrived. Anyways, Dawson is keeping Daemon and Dee's hands full by running off to go look for his girlfriend, Beth. That is until Katy makes a deal with him that if he behaved, they'll help him find Beth. This creates a major fight between Daemon and Katy that makes me completely believe the two broke up. But, thank God they did not. Anyways, Blake then comes back in hopes that they will help him get his friend Chris back. They don't really have any choice since Blake has threatened that if they didn't help, he was turning over both Katy and Daemon to the DOD. The jerk. But things are a little strained with out fellow Luxens since Dee wants revenge for Adam's death. Yes, Adam died in Onyx and I was pretty upset. Anyways, they all have a heated meeting and decide to help Blake because they have no choice. Which leaves where I left off just now. Katy is about to meet up with Blake with Daemon. They also agreed that Dee and Dawson stay away from the meeting as much as possible for personal reasons. I think its so that Dee doesn't kill the guy, and that Blake doesn't know that Dawson is free. But, Katy is complete stressing over this meeting because she thinks Blake will go against his word and turn them in anyways. I'm so glad that I picked up this book again. So until next time.....

Finished reading Love Is The Drug.

Finally I have finished the book. It wasn't easy since during the last stretch, my family decided that throwing stuff at me while reading and listening to music would be fun. It didn't make me a very happy camper. Anyways, in the book it's Thanksgiving time and a vaccine has been announced for the v-flu. There is also a bit of a confession of love going on before the meal even begins. Darn girl pushed the boy to his limits just to make him say it. Could slap her. Anyways Bird didn't get the huge blowout she was expecting with her mother. Wonder why. So after the meal was done and everyone was gone, Bird and Coffee sit together and takes some drugs. I don't know if it were the drugs or Coffee's attempt to hypnotize Bird, but she started getting flashes of the night she couldn't remember. And, since I hate giving out spoilers and spoiler alerts. I'm going to not tell you anything more about the book. I still have a good hundred pages left to read, but I can't share anymore. I can just say that things are going to get really awesome now that Bird is starting to finally remember. Honestly I really like the book. I thought I'd hate it and I'm glad I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I highly recommend the book. Its not something I normally read, and I loved it. So pick up the book when it comes out at the end of the month. But, I'm going to finish the book and read Opal. So I give the book four out of five stars, and I tell you to go check it out. You might like it right away, or it might grow on you like it did me. So until next time......

Reading Love Is The Drug part 4

After my slight panic attack over the fact I had a killer spider in my room. Literally it was a killer spider. Apparently it came with my cousin's stuff and now has invaded my room. We can't find it now, which scares me even more. So my room is now off limits until we get spider poison. But that is enough of my spider problems. You are here to learn more about the book. Nothing exciting happens since the last post I made. Only thing going down is that Bird and her cousin are under school arrest. Roosevelt made orders that they weren't supposed to leave the school property. The jerk. Anyways, while hanging out in the library, Coffee tells Bird a little about his past and why he started creating drugs. The whole thing brought the two closer together. The chapter after the heartfelt one, Bird and her friend decided to write down goals, and maybe find a way to get  her memory back. I wonder if this is all going to work out. But, I'm still wondering, what does Bird know that everyone thinks she knows? I'm starting to think that she does know something, and she left herself little clues everywhere from that night. I want to finish this book just find out what the heck is going on. Anyways, in Bird's desperation to find out what is going on with Roosevelt, she pretty much comes up with a way to look through the headmistress's computer for answers. Sadly she didn't find much, but she did find a hidden USB in a dead doctor's belongings. Could it be a clue? I also think she just convinced Coffee to use a drug on her to remember. He is still against it, but he knows she won't drop the subject until they at least try it. Meanwhile, apparently one of Bird's classmate's house got hit with the v-flu, the disease that broke out through out town. The classmate lost both of her parents. Also Bird and her friend found something interesting with the v-flu. Apparently the vitamin shots they were given were actually.....Nope not going to tell you. That would just ruin the big breakthrough. You may hate me now until you read the book yourself. In hopes of using their recent discovery, Bird confronts Roosevelt. Only problem is that he has the upper hand. Its like the guy has planned this all along. I still don't like him. But there is still more to the puzzle that Bird still needs to figure out. I'm going to go try to finish the book and be able to post one last time about this book. Then I'm going back to reading Opal. It was just too much of a hassle to read two books at once and remember everything. I can't even remember what happened when I stopped reading Opal. So my goals are to finish this book and Opal and Original Sin by the end of this week. A lot is going to be on my plate for the next few days. I hope I can do it. So until next time.....

Reading Love Is The Drug part 3

So, I'm about halfway through the book now and I decided to do something a little different. Not on here, but when I read the book. Its so I don't miss anything important when I tell you about the book. I'm now taking notes as I read. Anyways, I'll tell you about what is going on with the book. After Roosevelt's little scare tactic stunt, Bird is now starting to realize that there is too much commotion and need to get Coffee for just a little drug charge. She is beginning to think that there has to be more to it. Also Bird is still having some trouble sleeping because of all of the commotion, but when she does have sleep she has pretty bad nightmares. She can't remember her dreams and I am starting to think that her memories are trying to come back, but only in her dreams. Anyways, Bird goes back to school and she finds out that one of her classmates Cindy actually saw something at the party. Or, at least she thinks she saw something. But, she does remember Paul having a canteen that Bird drank out of and she thinks something was in it. Of course everyone is saying not to trust Cindy because she's a liar. Anyways, Bird gets a secret note to meed Coffee at a dock by the river and she plans on going. She's hoping that he knows something about that night. When she does meet him, Coffee tells Bird that he took Paul's canteen and he explains what he saw during the party. So the next day Bird goes to school and a few exciting things happen. The doctor, that was helping Bird with her sleeping problem, collapses. Shortly after that a plane comes flying in the air, dropping some kind of poisonous gas or mist down on the town. It kind of put everyone in a panic. Of course, through all of the chaos, Coffee has made himself known. He apparently made a deal to still go to school. After a little bit of waiting, Bird finds out that her cousin was part of the targeted area and was now in the hospital. Bird tries to have Coffee help her get to her cousin, but he kind of can't with his monitor that he has to wear. So in desperate measures, she runs to Paul and Roosevelt for help. Paul pulls through on the help, but she finally confronts him while waiting to see how her cousin is doing. Afterwards, then she goes to one of her classmate's mother and asks if she could give her cousin a scholarship to go to her private school. Of course then Bird runs into Roosevelt and I think he just threatened her. Maybe you'll get a different meaning out of his words, but I can swear he just threatened her right after her and Coffee makes plans to meet up to find out what is in the canteen. I think Roosevelt's feather's are getting ruffled with the fact that Coffee and Bird are getting closer to the truth. Especially when they find out what the drug is that was in the canteen. And, I'll leave it at that. So until next time.

Reading Love Is The Drug part 2

So, Bird went back to school and she is a little confused on what is going on. It also doesn't help when everyone in school is talking about her. Sounds like a normal school. Anyways, students have to line up and get checked everyday because of this huge flu epidemic that is going on. Bird is kind of wondering why they have to go through a pat down and have their things checked. I'm kind of wondering the same thing. Anyways, Bird gets pulled aside to do further testing. She ends up being cleared, and was given some reading material about changing her sleeping habits. What everyone wants when they having sleeping problems. After she is released to go to class, Bird has a sudden urge to see Coffee again. Whether she does or not, is something I am wondering for this chapter. Anyways, her boyfriend Paul is now working for Roosevelt. Also he isn't what he appears to be. Bird is starting to realize that the story isn't matching up with what little she does remember. I didn't realize how much actually happens in the long chapters until I began to write the post along with what I read. Its like after every major event that happens is a major clue to what really happened with Bird. I'm not even done with chapter three, and I feel like I should keep sharing what is going on in the book. Anyways, there is a supposed drill going down at Bird's school. There is actually a lot of security going on for just a little drill, and Bird can't help but think that it's strange. Roosevelt even comes down into the old bomb shelter to remind people that they are still looking for Coffee. Supposedly it's for Coffee's own safety. I believe it is just a bunch of lies and cover up. Coffee might now something he shouldn't and that is why they are after him. Anyways, Roosevelt is really pushing Emily with the whole 'if you hear from or see Coffee contact me right away' thing a little too much. Even that would make me highly suspicious of the guy. If the girl keeps saying that she hasn't heard from the guy or even seen them, its quite obvious that she hasn't. Okay maybe she has heard from him, but still don't keep pushing it. The guy is becoming quite the jerk. Who the heck scares a little girl in hopes of getting information? That is sure one way to tip someone off that you are trying to hide something. Something big. This chapter just made the book more interesting. So until next time...

Still reading two books

Nothing like going against the government and getting in contact with a wanted man. Bird was supposed to report to Roosevelt when ever she got in contact with Coffee. Well, she didn't. She feels that he is the only one that is able to tell her what happened. Bird also has a feeling that she is being watched and all this other spying stuff. It is so bad that she doesn't even feel safe enough to call Coffee in her uncle's house or use her cell phone. She broke curfew just so she could call him. She didn't learn much though. Poor girl. Also she has a mother who it acting as if Bird asked to be drugged and that she must apologize to the party host immediately. The woman needs to cut the crap about appearances and be more concerned about her child. Anyways, I finished the chapter with Coffee hanging up on Bird. Also I noticed that each chapter has a name of a drug and it's elemental formula. Its pretty cool. Of course, in order for me to finish this book instead of throwing it on the bookshelf to never read it again. I gave myself a little bit of motivation. Since the chapters are so long, I told myself the for every chapter I read in this book, I can read three chapters out of Opal. Its working so far and I love it.
So Daemon finally took Katy on their first official date. It was pretty sweet of him. He arranged to have a fancy table set up at an Italian restaurant. I mean it had candles and everything. Katy told him that is was really romantic which made it pretty awesome. Daemon just wanted to hear the how awesome he was part. Like his ego needed to get any bigger. Anyways, their date ended with a make-out session that got interrupted by a phone call. Complete mood killer. Apparently Dawson booked it and had gone missing. Making the date come to a complete halt. How dare you Dawson? Anyways, Katy does something that Daemon doesn't like. She promised Dawson that they would help him find Beth. Daemon then tells Katy that it wasn't her problem because Dawson wasn't her family. She made a point that if it was Daemon's problem, then it was hers. It was because they were in it together. Then Daemon makes the mistake saying that they weren't together in everything. Katy ended up telling him then they couldn't be together at all if not in everything. I give the girl props for doing that, but was it the right move? Its like a soap opera right now and I kind of love it. I wonder what Daemon is going to do now that Katy says they can no longer be a couple. So until next time.....

Reading two books at once

I'm trying to be really talented and read two books at once. Only because I want to read a certain book before my mom. Its a thing we have, sometimes I don't even understand it.
So, one of the books I'm reading is the third book in the Lux series, Opal. We had the second book end with Daemon's brother magically appearing at his house after they went on a wild goose chase to find him. Anyways, there have been some adjustment issues. Dawson can't sleep and it's affecting Daemon and Dee. Also I think it affecting Katy because he tends to appear in her bedroom, and that is how the book starts. Dawson watching Katy sleep. Creepy much? Luckly Daemon appears in the house and Dawson leaves. Then Daemon wants to spend some time with Katy and things were getting steamy until something comes crashing through the bedroom window. Apparently someone was spying and Dawson ended up killing the person and it threw him threw the window. It ended up with a meeting and having Katy pretty shaken up. Also Katy realizes that nothing is going to be the same between her and Dee. If you read the second book, you'll know why. I wish I could tell you, but that would ruin it all.
The second book that I'm reading, you'll already know about. Love Is The Drug won't be out until September 30th, but I will be happy to tell you all about it. Okay, maybe not all of it. That would just ruin the book. Anyways, our main character Bird wakes up in a hospital after a night out with her boyfriend. I think I remember telling you that they were invited to a party to get internships and jobs with some very important people. But after some certain events that Bird can't seem to remember, she ends up in the hospital. The story that she was told was that she was drinking and her drink was laced with a homemade drug. She panicked when someone came running after the car and she took over the wheel, making her and her boyfriend get in a car accident. The person who supposedly placed a drug in her drink would be her secret crush Coffee. Bird has a feeling that this story could possibly not true. She knows something in wrong and she wants to remember what really happened. I'm kind of curious on what really happened. Obviously her boyfriend Paul gave her something and in putting the blame on an easy out. Coffee must of seen it all happen, making that a reason too on why the government is now after him. This book just got really interesting.
So, I told myself that I'd read on chapter out of one book for every three chapters out of the other. I figured that would be the most efficient way to read the two books at the same time. So until next time......

Reading Love Is The Drug by Alaya Dawn Johnson

So I got this book in the mail technically yesterday, but since I don't think its a new day until the sun is actually up, I'll say today. Anyways, I have no idea what this book is about. I thought the cover was cool and entered the contest to get it for free. Also I thought it was time that I got another advance copy to help an author out. So I have until the 30th to tell you all about the book and what I think about it. Yay!
So here is what I gathered so far. Its not much since the book it kind of confusing to me and I'm not sure what is going on. Our main character is Bird. Emily Bird to be more exact, but she likes to go by Bird. Anyways, she is part of a group of students that are rich and have connections to some very important people. The books starts off at a party that someone threw in order to help the students get internships and jobs for the summer. You can tell that Bird feels uncomfortable in this lifestyle, but she won't complain in hopes of making her mother happy. She also has a secret crush on the school druggie, Coffee. His real name is Alanso, but I guess he goes by a nickname as well. Anyways, there will be nothing between Coffee and Bird because it would ruin her image, plus she has a boyfriend named Paul. But I think the chapter ends with Paul selling her out to the CIA and pretty much takes her to them. I'm not a hundred percent sure. So far this book is a little complicated for my simple mind. Its interesting. I'll give it that. But I don't think I'm going to care for it much. We will see. I only read the first chapter. Too soon to judge the book right now.
Also I'll got back to reading Original Sin as soon as I finish this book. But, I have a poll going on to see what you think I should read next. Barely Breathing or Love Gone Mad. Both books I've read the first chapter, and both books sound really good right now. So help me pick out my next book by voting. The book with the most votes will be my next book for this blog. I can't wait to see what you guys choose. So until next time.....

Paused reading Original Sin

I'm not sure where to begin. I know I have to explain why I stopped reading Original Sin. Not only am I dragging my feet reading it, I ended up getting an advance copy of another book in the mail. So me being the responsible reader that I am, I feel like I have to finish this new book before it comes out. I figured it be fair to the author if I told you guys what I thought right away. Also I'm trying to decide what book to read after Original Sin. I can choose between two of them. I read the first chapter of both books and they are book really good so far. But, I'll have a poll up for you guys to vote which book you think I should read next. It will be something a little different. Also I have a duplicate book and if a friend of mine doesn't want it, I'll be having a giveaway for it. Things are happening. I might even giveaway books that I don't want to make more room on my book shelf. But first the poll. So until next time......

Started reading Original Sin by Lisa Desrochers

I am reading yet another sequel to a book that I have read a year ago. All I remember is that a demon came to earth from Hell looking for a girl to tag for Hell. The demon found the girl, making her gaurdian angel appear. Angel and demon fight over girl as if they are high school boys trying to win the girl over. Demon falls in love with girl. Girl unknownly turns demon human. Huge battle happens for the girl's soul. Girl gets tagged for Heaven instead of Hell. Everyone lives happily ever after. Okay maybe not if there is a second book. But the girl now has a new guardian angel which is her dead twin brother. So here are the names of the characters in the book. We have our girl, Frannie. Her twin brother slash guardian angel, Matt. Then Frannie's demon turned human boyfriend, Luc. I just started the book so right now nothing exciting is going on. But according to the back of the book, the fact that Luc was a demon is about to bite them all in the butt. Matt hates Luc and is hoping the demons take Luc back. Only problem is that Luc is tagged for Heaven after, I believe, risking his own life to save Frannie's. Word hadn't gotten out yet that Luc is now human and tagged for Heaven. So when the head of security comes for him, he is nice enough to inform them. Well, things are about to get interesting. So until next time.....
