Reading Onyx

I just want to throw my theory out there about the book. Katy is part Luxen. Her Dad was an alien like Daemon, that fell in love with a human, got outcasted, got married, had a baby, and then died. That is what I'm starting to believe. I could be wrong, but I hope I am right. It is the only way to explain what is going on with Katy. I guess I should clarify it a little bit. So, after Katy got really sick, she returns to school. A new guy named Blake starts attending and he seems to have the hots for Katy. This is making Daemon very jealous. Its about time someone ruffled his feathers. Might actually get him to man up. Anyways Katy has somethings happening with her. First thing is that her locker opened up all by itself. Freaked her out, but she tried to play it off by saying that she was more focused on a guy named Simon then opening her locker. Which could be possible since this Simon guy is a complete dick. He was even nice enough to tell everyone that she slept with him and half of the football team. Like I said, he's a complete dick. Anyways, that wasn't the only incident, just the first. The next time something happened, Katy was thinking about a glass of sweet tea. In response to her thoughts, a glass breaks on the counter and the tea is tipped over in the fridge spilling. Once again she tries to play it off thinking her mom left the tea open and it fell over when she put it away, and that the glass fell out of the cupboard and broke. She was becoming more freaked out though and is starting to realize something isn't right with her. Her next event just so happen to have happen on her first date with Blake. A branch broke off a tree and she made it stop in mid air long enough for Blake to get out of the way. Daemon came to the rescue on that and made an excuse saying that Katy was freaked out by the branch falling and nearly landing on them. Blake wasn't surprised though, making Daemon a little jealous of him, I think. Then the night of the party that Dee was throwing came and Katy shattered some windows of a house down the street because Simon made her upset. He was pretty much drunk and begged her to forgive him for everything he did. She was in the right to not forgive the guy and scare the crap out of him. Of course, her and Daemon then got in a fight because one won't admit their feelings, aka Katy, and the other wants something more then what they have, aka Daemon. Usually its the girl begging for the relationship and the guy not admitting feelings. These two are going to end up together by the end of the book. That is how these things work. Unless someone dies, because lately out off all the books I've read, someone dies. There will be no dying in this book, unless its a bad guy. Kill the bad guys as much as you want, just don't kill the most loveable character, or I'll be mad. But, I'm off to go see if my theory is right. I hope it is. So until next time......

Started reading Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Okay so this book is a sequel. I'd be happy to tell you what the first book is all about, but I read it like a year ago and I can't remember. It makes me sad. Also I'd like to point out that I love the girl's top on the cover. Just saying. Also the guy that is supposedly Daemon is like hot. So enough of me being a girl. I'm here to talk about the book. I haven't started it year really. I only read two chapters and from what I gathered is that in the first book had a huge battle where everyone almost died. So in order to save the girl he couldn't resist, Daemon saved her life by healing her with his alien powers. Oh yeah. Daemon is an alien and has a sister named Dee that is best friends with our main character Katy. Daemon likes to call our main character Kitten. I wish I remembered why, but I know it started when they first met when she moved into the house next door. Anyways, there is a strong connection between Katy and Daemon. Katy thinks it is because of Daemon's alien mojo. But I'm pretty sure the connection was strong even in the first book. Can't deny love at first sight, even if no one is going to admit it. So Katy got really sick in the beginning of the book. Not sure why, but I believe Daemon just healed her again to recover faster. Of course the girl was being drawn to a nearly frozen lake. Way to make Daemon panic, Katy. I think there is more to her illness and I think we find out more about it later on in the book. I'm curious how this is all going to play out, so I'm off to go read more of the book. So until next time......

Finished reading Simple Perfection

So I'm almost done reading Simple Perfection. All I have to say is 'holly....Oh my....I have to words to describe what I just read'. Anyways I should give you the low down on what I just read. So the conversation between Woods and his friend, Jace, was a complete misunderstanding. Good. If it wasn't, I'd be very upset. Anyways, Della ran off with Tripp. I think I told you that before, but if I didn't. I did now. Anyways, it took Della about three weeks before she went running back to Woods. During that three weeks she learned some things about her past that weren't actually true. All I have to say is that the girl doesn't have to worry about being crazy anymore. I figured it would be something like that, but I thought it was because her mom lied about her grandma being insane. Anyways, Della ran back to Rosemary under the assumption that Woods was seeing someone else. That was all Tripp's and her best friend, Braden's fault. The jerks. Anyways, Della and Woods make up. Woods even explains that the conversation was actually about his mother and that he decided to get a new board for his business. He even asked Della to be a part of it. Everything seemed good and dandy for a few months. Then Abbi Glines had to kill someone. What is with these author's killing someone off all of a sudden? I'm not telling you who, even though I really want to. Anyways, everyone is adjusting to the sudden change of one of them missing. Its not like any of them thought one would die when they all planned to grow old together with their kids playing with each other. It is a sad scene. Broke my heart. Why do you have to break my heart Abbi? Anyways, I love the book as always. I'm going to wrap up this book and push the library to give me the next one. Its Grant's story next and a nice guy needs to have someone who isn't psycho demanding. Nan can be such a bitch sometimes. Pardon my language, but its true. When you read the Rosemary Beach series, you'd agree. So until next time......

Reading Simple Perfection

Yes, I did it again. I put down Crave to read my next shipment of books from the library. I have a feeling that I'm never going to get the book done.
Anyways, to stay true to my Abbi Glines kick, I'm now reading Simple Perfection. You all know that I read Twisted Perfection, or at least I think that was the title of it. Anyways, this is a wonderful continuation since the last book was nice enough to end with Woods getting the news that his dad died. Literally, that is exactly what happened. The final words were, 'that was Jace letting me know my father died of a heart attack thirty minutes ago'. Okay it might not be word for word, but at least I tried. So Woods' mother is making his life difficult as hell. She won't talk to him unless it is to share her distaste towards Della. She also thinks that Wood's ex-fiance was the best choice only because Woods' dad thought she was a good choice. The girl ended up being psycho and tried to beat Della to death. Luckly my girl Blaire saved the day by pointing the famous gun at Angelina. I say famous gun because that was the first thing Blaire pulled out when she first arrived to Rosemary Beach. Anyways Della is starting to fell helpless and she just over heard the fact that Woods is having trouble with her around. I know there is some misunderstanding going on, but I don't know what. I stopped reading the moment Della called Tripp to come and get her. I wonder how Woods is going to react to this sudden change to his plans. What ever those are. But I know he has some serious explaining to do. So until next time.......

Finished reading The Vincent Brothers and back to reading Crave

So I finished The Vincent Brothers. It wasn't easy, but I did. Anyways, Sawyer just couldn't stop messing up with Lana. You can say that he is a man of habit. So after his knight in shining armor act with Ashton when she thought Beau cheated, Lana said enough was enough. I give the girl props for doing that, but she could of also stuck around to see that it was all just a misunderstanding. She didn't really think through her actions. And Ethan, Sawyer's friend, should of came clean sooner then later. Poor Sawyer was so heartbroken he didn't want to do anything. Even damaged a few things. How could you Ethan. Anyways, Ethan finally admits to where Lana is. Making Sawyer pretty much jump in his truck and chase after her. Don't know why loosing her had to make the guy realize that he was madly in love with the girl. And, he didn't even know then. Beau had to say something to make it click in his thick skull. But the book had a sweet ending, and I believe there is a third one in the making. Kind of makes me curious what it could be about. Anyways, I loved the book and would love to read it again, maybe even own the whole series. But, I'm off to hopefully finish Crave. We all know that I've been really dragging my feet on it. I'm about halfway and I have a feeling I'll be putting it aside again when the next shipment of books come in the library. So until next time.....

Reading The Vincent Brothers

So I'd be so much farther in this book if I didn't have so much crap to do. Such as my sister being mean and nominating me for the ice bucket challenge. I'm still waiting to see if my brothers do it. Anyways, also I'm planning a Halloween Bash for Mental Health Awareness. Mental Health is such an issue that is still completely taboo to talk about. I'm hoping that one day people will talk about it just as much as they talk about cancer. Anyways, I take all charities for Mental Health Awareness because its a cause I take to heart for personal reasons. So I figured I throw a benefit for charity. So I'm planning that. Also I'm trying to come up with something that will go viral like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but this would be to bring awareness for Mental Health. I'm not sure what to do yet, but hopefully the brain storming will pay off. So now lets talk about what I've read so far in the book. I couldn't help to notice the fact that Abbi Glines mentioned a certain band in her book. There were some other, but this one that really stuck out because I know these cool guys in a way. Abbi Glines was nice enough to mention the band All Time Low. I honestly haven't been listening to their music lately and it was as if she was telling me to listen to them again. I couldn't help but laugh. I love the guys of All Time Low, one member more then the others, and it was nice to see them mentioned in a book. Anyways, Sawyer admitted his feelings to Lana. Of course it wasn't until after he made a complete ass of himself in front of everyone. Broke Lana's heart and pissed off his best friends. Anyways, Sawyer is starting to realize that Lana makes him feel different. He didn't even feel what he does for Lana when he was dating Ashton. Maybe he only thought he was in love with her, and now he is getting a taste of true love. I pretty much stopped with Lana getting interesting news from her father and they are all at a field party. This is where Sawyer is starting to realize that his break up with Ashton is easier with Lana around. He thinks that its just a good distraction, but I think he is falling hard. I can't wait to finish this book and see where this relationship goes. So until next time.....

Finished reading Glimmerglass by Lyssa's Mom

Well, I finally finished this book. It took me awhile to get motivated to do it but Yay it is done. Of course, we all know that she was going to see her mother. Also, that there was going to be a confrontation with her 2 parents in what to do with her. Mother wants to take her home and the Father wants to keep her there in Avalon with him. Of course the Father won because he was a politician after all.
The last part of the book was very predictable. It sort of reminded me of a horror movie and the lady always goes in a dark room and hollers, "Is there anyone there?" Like Lys always says, the killer is going to holler back and say, I am the killer and I am going to kill you. In this case, the main character talked to her Mom and says that she will come home with her if she admits that she has a drinking problem but Mom doesn't. She sneaks out of her Father's house in the dark, with one of the bad boys that she is attracted to. She arrives at the hotel and goes to her Mom's room,  now you remember that the Fae people are watching her and some want to kill her, doesn't she think that her Mom is being watched too????? Apparently, not. Well, anyway - don't want to give it away but she is captured again and her Mom is kept at gunpoint. You can use your imagination for the rest. I will tell you that she was rescued and her mom was ok too. But, now her life is even in more danger that she is a faeriewalker and have some magical powers. Faeriewalkers don't have magic powers but she is a special one and she can't tell anyone that she can do certain things with magic. Her life is becoming more complex than before. There is another book so I would like to know, which bad boy she starts to befriend more.

Started reading The Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines

So the book I'm reading now is actually a sequel to a book called The Vincent Boys. Basically the whole series revolves around a group of three friends that have been together since they were three. Anyways, they are all in high school, or at least were in the first book. Anyways, two of the friends were cousins, for all they knew. They both were loved their other friend, and the only girl in their little group. So one cousin, Sawyer, ended up asking out the girl, Ashton. He didn't even consider talking it over with his cousin, Beau. Things were great for three years until Sawyer left for camp or something over the summer. While he was gone, Ashton got cozy with his cousin, Beau. I mean they got really cozy to the point that she ends up sleeping with him and cheating on Sawyer. The book basically ended with Sawyer realizing that he could never separate the two forever since they were always two peas in a pod. So Sawyer let Ashton go, and it leads to the book I'm reading now. Sawyer is heartbroken and can't stand to see his cousin/brother all over his ex-girlfriend. I forgot to mention that something huge happened in the last book and now Sawyer sees Beau as his brother for this book instead of being his cousin. Anyways, I just started the book and it just is Sawyer picking a fight with Beau in front of everyone because he's hurt and mad. I agree with his friends, the guy needs to move on. Anyways Sawyer pretty much stormed off and went to a restaurant outside of town, because he didn't want to be reminded of Ashton. While he is out, he just so happened to run into Ashton's cousin, Lana. She apparently even made a huge wardrobe change the moment she found out that Sawyer was now single. Now she is doing everything in her power to win the guys heart. Things are about to get interesting. So until next time.....

Finished reading Breathe

A fricken song made me cry. And, it's not even a real song. I didn't think it was possible. Anyways, I finished Breathe and I curse it for having a fake song that brought tears to my eyes. I'm am such a sucker for romance. No doubt about it. Now I want a fricken song written about me. Thanks Abbi Glines. Anyways, I must explain what happened before we even get to the song that made me cry. So lets rewind a bit. With my last post I had stopped reading when Jax took Sadie to their first date. One benefit of dating a famous rockstar is that you can watch a movie before its released in a movie theater before its even opened. I want to be that famous. Anyways, things got a little heated in the movie theater, but Jax was a gentleman and broke it off before it got too serious. Then came a party that Sadie was invited to that was full of Jax Stone fans. Made it a little rough in the beginning, but it smoothed out towards the end. Or, so they thought. But, they have to go on one more date at a fancy restaurant before all hell breaks loose. When I say all hell breaks loose, I mean Sadie is no longer invisible like she wanted. She even got a taste at how heartless and ridiculous the media can be. Its one of the down sides to being famous,  but she did sign up for it. But, the news ended up making Jax dump Sadie and run. Broke the girl's heart to the point she didn't eat or drink for three days. Talk about being dramatic. I didn't even do that when my ex broke my heart that bad. But, I guess I'm tougher then Sadie. Anyways, after Sadie gets out of her depression, she gets a baby brother. It causes more problems for her. Also while she was out with her co-worker, Marcus and a friend of his, they just so happen to mention a song that was written about her. Its the fricken song that made me cry, because it kept coming back and being mentioned. It wouldn't go away. Also I could so feel what was going on in that song. Complete tear jerker moment. So Sadie goes through juggling three things at once, and then ends up passing out. Jax then comes back as soon as he finds out the girl is in a coma in the hospital. Why did it take Sadie being in the hospital to make Jax come back is beyond me? The guys is a fricken idiot. Anyways, he sings her out of her coma and then decides that they were going to make their relationship work. That made me happy and I might have teared up a little too. I know there is a sequel to this book and I'll be requesting it as soon as I can. I have a huge reading list that I can't seem to knock down because I keep wanting to add on to the list. I might have a slight reading problem. Its just as bad as my Mountain Dew addiction. But, I'm off to read a chapter out of another Abbi Glines book called The Vincent Brothers. Apparently is a sequel to The Vincent Boys. So until next time.....

Reading Breathe

Its quite interesting reading a book completely blind. I didn't even read the back. Okay that was a lie, I read the back when I was like a third of the way in the book. Anyways, our book is told through the eyes of our main character, Sadie White. She is forced to work a domestic job due to the fact that her mother thinks that since she is pregnant, she doesn't have to do a damn thing. I totally feel bad for Sadie since she is expected to do everything while her mom sits at home and continues to be irresponsible. Anyways, due to the fact that her mom is a lazy bum, Sadie was able to make friends and also meet a famous rock star, Jax Stone. I think the name is cool. Anyways, they agreed to be friends, but lines got crossed when Sadie almost ended up dating a co-worker. It appears that a little jealousy makes Jax go after what he wants, even if he knows that Sadie deserves someone who won't drop her once the summer ends. Sadly, he is is selfish and can't stay away from her. Sadie now has a boyfriend and she even admits that she is falling for him. That means she is going to be heart broken no matter what he does. So there are two options this book is going to end in. Jax and Sadie find a way to make the whole dating a rockstar thing work, or he leaves her heart broken and her co-worker comes in to save the day. I wonder what the outcome will be. I'm all for the whole dating a rockstar thing to work, and that is for personal reasons. So until next time......

Paused reading Crave again and started reading Breathe

Okay so I went back to reading Crave for like a day. At least I was able to get pretty far to be able to tell you what is going on in the book. Sav basically tried out for her school's dance team. Only it was against the vampire councile and she didn't make the team. But, she did find a loophole and ended up becoming a manager for the dance team. So she'll be able to feel like she belongs and not have to break any rules. Also Sav got a boyfriend. Tristan is hating every moment of it also. But I have a feeling that its not going to stop Sav and Tristan from being together.
But, sadly I'm putting the book aside once again. So I can read Breathe by Abbi Glines. I don't remember what the book is about. Honestly I don't know what the book is about. I just saw that it was an Abbi Glines book and I wanted to read it. No ands, if, or buts. But knowing Abbi Glines, its going to be a good book. You know I like an author when I buy their books and keeps them. But, I'm off to actually learn what this book is about. So until next time.....

Finish reading If I Stay

I did it again. I peeked. Honestly, I at least waited until I was nearly finished with the book. Anyways, that is besides the point. I finally finished the book. Yay! So, you do find out what happens to Teddy. Poor baby boy didn't get a chance. Also there is a few parts that made me love the book, others that made me cry. But I still didn't like it. I was tempted to give it a four honestly. But I still gave it a three. You can boo me all you want. Haters. Anyways, now that I finished the book and found out that love wins all battles, I want to read the second book just for the hell of it. And, maybe see the movie when it comes out. Who knows? The books ending is pretty predictable, but you can't help but read to find out how it happens. I had a feeling the boyfriend would save the day and bring her back, but like I said, you can't help but read and see how he does it. So I'm off to continue reading Crave since its the only book I have now. I had to return Styxx. Sad face. There was no way I was going to get to reading that book, but I'll request that book after I play catch up for the signing I'm dying to go to in September. I'm not missing a chance to meet Jamie McGuire. Hello...She wrote Beautiful Disaster, my favorite book ever. Walking Disaster and Beautiful Oblivion are good too, but not as great as Beautiful Disaster. That book makes me cry every time. I can't help it. Anyways, I'm going to grab something to eat, harass my mother, and grab Crave from my backpack. So until next time.....

Still reading If I Stay part two

After finding the actual edition of the book that I have, I have come to realize that I'm farther than I thought. Yep. I am actually two thirds through the book. Now I don't feel like the book is taking forever. Also I have to admit that the boyfriend breaking down made me cry. I'm a sucker for those kinds of things. Anyways, I kind of figure what happens in the end. There is a second book, so obviously she choose to live. Right? Of course, it could also be in her boyfriend's eyes. Who knows. But, I'm thinking she wakes up from her coma. I also want to know what happened to her brother, Teddy. No one knows what happened, only what she thinks happened. It would be sad if he died too. I guess I have to keep reading to find out. Yay! Not really. So I'm going to try to wrap up the book tomorrow. I still don't care for it, but I'm willing to go watch the movie and compare differences. But, the tear jerking moment might have boost up my rating for the book. So instead of two stars, I might give it three stars. So until next time......

Still reading If I Stay

Yes, I'm still reading the book. I've actually made it a third of the way through the book. And, it is still dragging on and on and on. I feel like I'm telling it to get a move on already. I'm pretty sure the movie is going to be so much better in my eyes. Anyways, I would of been farther in the book but apparently it is a bad idea to read when you have a really bad headache. You end up getting sick to your stomach because the pain is so bad. At least I'm all better now and trying to read this teeth pulling book. Sigh. I just want to finish this book and read something else. There seems to be no end to this book. I'm trying. Like really really trying. Also I noticed that by looking at the cover that I have and after reading what the girl looks like in the book, they are two different girls. Hollywood really needs to stick to what the authors write about. Especially their characters. I also have a feeling that the movie is going to be nothing like the book. That's Hollywood for you. So I'm going to head out. My brother has orientation today and I have to convince my baby sister that selling me for dates is wrong. So until next time.....

Started reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman

So, now I understand why I didn't finish the book in the first place. To me it feels like it is dragging on and on and on. Also you really have to pay attention because at one moment the main character is in the present, watching over what was going on in the after affects of the car accident she was in. Then the next moment you are experiencing a flash back about how she started to be a cello player and how she started dating her boyfriend. Its kind of like her life flashing before her eyes and she has an out-of-body experience. Its interesting to read something like that, but I don't like how it just drags on and on and on. I'll try to finish it, but I'm not making any promises. I'm actually at the point where I stopped reading the book the first time I picked it up. Maybe I'll get farther before I return the book. I may not like the book, but someone must have to want to make a movie out of it. It makes me wonder if the movie is better then the book. I'll never know until I finish the book and read the movie. So until next time.....

Finished reading Twisted Perfection

So I finished the book I was reading. I actually really loved the book. It even got really good after Woods's dad came into the picture and messed some things up. Its only because Woods was in love with Della and didn't want to be controlled anymore. Talk about serious control issues. The guy was a grade A jerk. At least Woods was smart enough to hunt down the girl to apologize that his father is controlling. But, at least they don't have to worry about his father anymore. If you read the other books that is related to Twisted Perfection you'd know what happened to Woods's father. Also my girl Blaire finally showed up in the book. Sadly it was only for a short period of time. Anyways, the series is really good at this point. I'm ready to request the next book. I know I have a lot of reading to do before I try everything in my power to go meet some Abbi Glines in Chicago, Illinois. I at least I think she is going to be there. But I'm off to go read If I Stay. You know the book that a movie came out for. I thought I'd read it before watching the movie. Luckly I have all the time in the world, because I have to wait until the movie comes out on DVD. So until next time.....

Reading Twisted Perfection part 3

So I didn't get much reading done today. It was pretty stressful with the fact that we had to send my grans to the hospital. We all knew she wasn't going to die, because the woman is just too damn stubborn. Anyways, after everything settled down, I was able to read a little bit. I'm not sure if anything I read registered though. I have a feeling I'll be buying this book later on just so I can reread it. Anyways, from what did register, Woods was engaged but he broke if off because little Woodsie is in love. Only he doesn't know it yet. He just thinks that he has Della for a short amount of time and the thought of loosing her just gave him the nerve to put his foot down. Yay Woods! Also the guy who's house Della is stay at is in the picture now. Kind of made Woods get his butt in gear. Such a shame. Anyways, the guy's name is Tripp and he even was willing to share how he felt towards Della, well kind of. He more like implied he wanted more then she was giving him, but he didn't flat out say it. But Tripp also is now helping Woods win Della over. Such a good friend he is. He did this by having Woods stay the night so he could be there when Della had her night terrors. Tripp is thinking that if Della saw that Woods was willing to stick around to get know her, maybe just maybe she'll be willing to talk about her past. I hope it works out, because I'm dying to know what happened to Della just as bad as everyone else. And where is my girl Blaire? I think its time her and Rush get a spot in the story. I'm going to head out even though I'd love to talk about books more. But I have to go check on my grans to make sure she is okay and if we decided to take her to a different hospital that knows what they are talking about. I swear the doctors in our town are stupid, and think they are fooling us by blaming an old lady's medication. Some people these days. Anyways, I'm out and I'll post when I finish the book. So until next time.....

Reading Twisted Perfection part 2

Nothing like taking a nap, at five at night until someone wakes you up at almost midnight, to keep me up all night to read. But it is getting to that point that someone is going to complain that there is still a light on at four in the morning. Anyways, I'm halfway through reading Twisted Perfection. I figured I would breeze though this book like nothing. Right now I'm reading about Woods admitting he messed up and had the need to explain everything to Della. They ended up agreeing to be just friends, but I have a feeling that won't last long. Also I found out the main girl in Never Too Far, her name is Blaire. Anyways, I'm wondering when that couple is going to pop up in this book. They get mentioned and all, but they aren't actually in it. Sigh. Anyways, Woods is starting to think that Della has some secrets going on with her. He is determined to find out what they are. So am I. I may have peeked a little as well. I'm sorry. I had to. I wanted to know so bad. I'm a horrible reader and I cheat too much. I deserve to be slapped on the hand or hit in the head with a book. But, I only read the conversations. I swear. They didn't give me much insight on what was going on. Made me sad. Anyways, I'm forced to put the book way for now. Sad face. Apparently we have a lights out policy somewhere that no one was nice enough to inform me with. So until next time.....

Reading Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines

I was just told that I'm no longer allowed to buy more books, or basically read. Grans words. The woman just doesn't realize that telling me not to read is like telling me not to breath. I have to read or I got crazy. Its true. I went a day with out reading and I was acting like a crazy person. Not a pretty sight. So the woman just has to deal with the fact that I want to fricken get paid to read. Total dream job right there for a bookworm. Anyways, I'm taking a break from reading Crave, and I decided to just return Styxx and recheck it out when I have more time. In other words, I'll be reading Styxx the moment Son of No one will be sent to me at the library. Always works that way. Anyways, I'm now reading Twisted Perfection.
Okay so, this book is basically a run off of Never Too Far, Forever Too Far, and what ever the other book is called. I own the books and I can't even remember the main girl's name. I'm a horrible book owner. Of course I remember the guy's name. Anyways, this book is basically about Woods, a guy who had a crush on the girl from the series I mentioned before. It basically tells you how his relationship with Della all started and whatnot. All I have to say about the book so far is that Abbi Glines wasted no time to heat things up between the two love birds. Nothing like pulling the reader in with a sex scene. But, the one thing I'm really itching to find out is what happened with Della's mom. That is one way to pull the reader in and introduce Della. You know something bad happened, but you don't know what. So I know I'm going to be spending the whole time reading the book trying to guess what happened with Della's mom. Why do they do this to me? I read slower when I'm trying to figure something out. It makes me sad. Anyways, I just finished the sex scene and I'm not on chapter three. A bit of advice with this book is to pay attention. The point of view changes and if you don't see who is telling the story, you might get confused. But I'm off to read and listen to the chipmunks run around in my ceiling. Always fun to have rodents invading your space. So until next time....

Reading Crave part 2

Even though Crave is a good book and I think I'm going to finish it. The only problem that I have with it is that it feels like it is dragging on. Like I'm pulling teeth. Don't get me wrong, the book is good. You have the main character going through a lot of changes right now. Like the fact that she loves dancing, but its a risk to her father's kind. It is so risky that the vampire council came to her dance try outs and told the judges not to put her on the team. Of course Savannah doesn't understand and thinks that the world is out to get her. That everyone should actually let her have a life. But I get she is still a child that is at that age where the world is coming to an end when everything goes wrong. It just gets kind of old with those kinds of books. Anyways, the book is good and I'm going to take a break from reading it. I'm about halfway and it dragging on so much that I just don't want to read it. Kind of like reading Styxx. But, I think that has to do with Styxx being like 900 pages. So I'm going to read Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines for now. I have a feeling I'm going to breeze right through the book. That will be a good thing. So until next time.....

Reading Crave

For those who didn't know, I'm back to reading Crave.
I'm also nice enough to post a picture to remind you what book I'm talking about. Anyways, our main character Savannah has found out that she is half vampire and half witch. Apparently she is the only one of her kind, and no one knows what is going to happen. And you know what happens when people don't know anything about it, they are practically shaking in their socks. Such a shame. Also you get a hint on how Tristan feels about Savannah. The boy has it bad is all I'm saying. I didn't get too far when I first started reading this book again. My grans isn't doing too well since she got home from her surgery last week. But I'll try to read more. Also if you haven't noticed, my mom made a new post for Glimmerglass. She was dragging her feet on it, so I made her do it. Then she couldn't remember anything she read. Maybe if she made her post sooner, we wouldn't have this problem. Anyways, go check out that post. I'm going to head out and pray that my mom takes me to go meet some authors on September 7th in Chicago. It would be really cool to get Beautiful Disaster signed by Jamie McGuire herself. So until next time....

Reading Glimmerglass part 2 by Lys's mom

Hello Everyone. I am back for another review of this book. As of now, it is late and Lys is sitting next to me to make sure that I will write this blog. So, to let you know that I am almost done with this book. Yay! This is what is going on. The main character has finally met her father but found out that she holds some special powers that every Human and Fae politician wants her for, including her father. All she wanted was a normal life and she is regretting about leaving her mother in the US. Now, she has found out that is the reason why her mother took her away and kept moving alot in the US. To keep her safe and not to be used as a tool.in Avalon's politics. So, while her body guard's son is teaching her self defense, she just found out that her mother is on her way to come after her. Now, I can't wait to see if she will escape Avalon without any problems or that the Fae politicians will keep her there in Avalon.

Finished reading Sweet Reckoning

It took me 24 hours to finish this book. Only because I couldn't put the damn thing down. The book can only be described as O. M. Wow. Pretty much everything goes crazy after the dinner with everyone. Anna's adopted mom Patti gets attacked by ghost like demons. Kaidan had to pretend to hate Anna and take her prisoner. Also Anna almost ficken dies. The battle was also edge of your seat exciting. It doesn't get in too much detail because Anna isn't fighting in the battle. But, some one nearly dies there too. But thanks to a loving father, everything turned out okay. The ending pretty much brought tears to my eyes. I'm talking about the very end. Since every one ends up free and Kaidan has a girl walk up to him and pretty much call him 'Dad'. I loved it. Bet he didn't expect that to happy, but I'm also glad he too her in with open arms. We all can see why Anna fell in love with him in the first place. He's such a sweetie.
Anyways, I'm going back to reading Crave. Its not everyday where in a book you find out your main character is half vampire and half witch. I'm kind of curious how that story is going to end. So I'm off to go read and rate Sweet Reckoning as a five start book. Go read the Sweet Trilogy before the fourth book comes out. Apparently the fourth one is through Kaidan's eyes through the whole even. I am kind of excited when it comes out. But not that I finished that love story. I'm off to learn about the love between Savannah and Tristan. So until next time.....

Reading Sweet Reckoning

I'm reading this book faster then I thought. I just started it yesterday night and I'm already almost done with the book. A lot is going on in the book as well. So Anna is being watch constantly to the point she is basically on the run. Scary. Kaidan's father is just not making her life easy for her. The jerk. But I guess that is what you get when you fall in love with the son of Lust. Anyways, wedding bells are heard in the book. Only because in order to save both Kaidan and Anna, they kind of have to get married. It has to do with the fact that they kind of want her to stay pure....in a way. But it gets the Duke of lust off of Anna's back for a while. Sigh of relief. They still have to be careful, but at least they can breath easy a little. I stopped when everyone is together and having a good time. Also Anna's best friend Jay knows everything now since he is kind of tied to Kaidan's friend Marna. They are tied by a reason that kind of has everyone dreading the fact that Marna is going to die. I sure hope not. I like that bundle of joy. She's so cheery. Anyways, I'm going to go finish this book because I am dying to know what happens next. When is this big battle going to happen? I can't take it anymore. So until next time.....

Paused reading Crave and started Sweet Reckoning by Wendy Higgins

I know you guys are really hating me. But, I didn't stop reading Crave. I actually like it enough to want to read it. But Sweet Reckoning came in sooner then I expected because only one library has it. Anyways, I took a break from Crave to finish the Sweet Evil series. I must know what happens to Anna and Kaidan.
So, Sweet Reckoning is from a series called The Sweet Trilogy. Funny thing is that I found out that there is another book coming out with this series. How is it a trilogy if there are four books? Maybe the author didn't expect to write another book. Either way it makes me happy that there is a possiblity of more Anna and Kaidan. Loves it. So like I said, this book is in a series and just so happens to be the third book, the supposed last one until I saw that there is another book called Sweet Temptation. Anyways, the series is about a girl who is part demon and part angel. Of course, in the first book she doesn't find out until she meets a guy named Kaidan and he pretty much turns her world upside down. So she learns that she has to go across the country to meet a nun before she dies and also to get answers from her father, who happens to be in prison. So the first book is just her getting to know herself and also the fact that she falls madly in love with Kaiden. Of course the jerk leaves at the end of the book to never be seen again. Made me pretty much scream in frustration. I was pretty much like Anna at the end thinking that he couldn't just leave. Good thing that in the second book she practically fights to get answers from him. Good for her. Anyways, the second book explains what the nun wanted to tell Anna. Basically she is to lead others like her in a war against the Dukes of Hell, aka their fathers. The Dukes apparently have to be sent back to hell in order for Anna and Kaidan to be together with out the fear of being killed. Because that is what happens when the children of the Dukes fall in love. The Dukes kill them. Only because of some prophecy that had been going around for years and years. I'm still cheering for Anna and Kaidan in this whole situation. I am loving the series so far. You can't help but love the story between these two love birds. Anyways, I suggest you go read the first two books. It explains a lot that is going on. I just started reading the third book, so I'm not far enough to explain what is going on. But, I have a feeling a huge battle is beginning to build. I can't wait. So until next time.....

Reading Crave by Melissa Darnell

Okay, yes it is the same title as another book I attempted to read. No, it is not the same book. I checked before I requested this from the library.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'm going to finish this one. Its an easy read and I'm pretty much back to my normal reading pace. I love it. The back to my reading pace, not the book. I don't know if I love the book yet because I'm only about fifteen percent through the book. Anyways, our main character is named Savannah. She goes to school with a group of kids that come from a family line called the Clann. Anyways, Savannah is on their hit list for some reason. They hate her and no one knows why. Also you must pay close attention, because the book likes to change lead characters and point of views. Savannah's crush, Tristen also has the honors of telling the story through his eyes. Basically the book gives you a look from both the inside and the outside of The Clann. I find that pretty neat. Also to give you all a heads up, I might be cutting down my reading time. I have started my latest writing project. I ended up having a dream that scared me so bad that I just had to write a book about it. Isn't that awesome. Not sure if I'll finish it since I haven't finished anything since A Vampire's Complications. I think having pretty much a dud of a story knocked my motivation down a notch. Lets pray I finish this book that I'm writing and the book that I'm writing. So until next time....

Stopped reading You Against Me

You guys are probably hating me right now. I haven't finished one book yet in the past few days/weeks. I'm just not getting into the books I got from the library. Hopefully I'll get a good one soon. Anyways, I only have one more book before I can go back to reading Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Anyways, I didn't finish You Against Me because of the fact that I didn't get into it and it gets confusing with the different slangs that I'm not used to. I'm sure some of you would have better luck then me. But I'm only thinking the book is three stars to me. I'm really sorry that I am not doing too good with reading these latest books, but I'll try to finish this next one. So until next time....

Reading You Against Me part one

The latest book that I've been reading is You Against Me by Jenny Downham. You know right away that the book is placed in London, or something like that, right away due to the fact that there are some terms that are not used in United States. Anyways you have to pay attention when you read the book because it tends to change lead characters with out warning. The book is basically about this guy's sister got raped and how he is dealing with it. Also it has the sister of the guy getting charged with rape, and how she feels about the whole situation. I stopped when it started telling her story. I was trying to read for the bast few days, but I'm getting busy doing projects for Lyssa's Chop Shop. I kind of want to get that going so I can start saving for relocation. Also I have family stuff I'm doing which takes away from my reading. But, I'm going to head out for now. So until next time.....

Stopped reading Crave

It feels like that the last bit of books I got from the library aren't keeping my interest. Crave is actually a very interesting book and I'm sure it will pick up later on. The only problem with that is that I don't have much patience. I want to be drawn into the book right away or a few chapters in. Right not it is all the same. Sick girl, who's name is Shay, gets a transfusion and she gets a vision about a guy named Gabriel. After the transfusion she feels unstoppable and does things that she usually wouldn't do. Even get sent to the principal's office. So, pretty boring at the moment. In order for me to get all of my books done before Sweet Reckoning comes in. I will have to stop reading this book that is taking for ever for me to read. It takes me like two days just to read one chapter. I can't blame my grans for this one anymore. Its just taking that long to read it. So if I were to rate the book right now. I'd get three stars from me. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not going to finish reading it. Maybe one of you can tell me  the ending of the book or what it is about. Well I'm off to go read one of the other books I have, so I can go back to reading Styxx. So until next time.....

Reading Crave by Laura J. Burns and Melinda Metz

For those who are curious on the book I'm trying to read, it's Crave. I'm actually not that far because I live in a house where reading is apparently frowned upon. This makes me sad. Grandmother's can be so mean sometimes. Anyways, the book is about a girl, who's name seems to escape me. She was born with a rare disease where she basically can't do much of anything. She can only last through school three days a week and she doesn't  get to be able to participate in after school activities. She even only has friends because she is sick. Anyways she starts getting a new type of treatment and to her she feels incredible afterwards. Its like she can finally be normal. But when she does try to be normal, everyone tells her she can't because it is too dangerous. I'm at that point where she is telling her friend to pretty much shove it. There is also a little side effect with this treatment. She is getting visions of a boy's life. She is not sure why, but it is driving her to be just as strong as him. So that is about it right now. I am not that far into it yet. Like I said, I live in a house where reading is frowned upon. But I'll try to sneak in some more chapters today. So until next time....

Book Challenge

So my mom was nice enough to make a post on the book she is reading. You know the one I've been saying I'd read, but never do. Anyways, you can go check it out and tell her what you think. I'm here to remind you that I have this book challenge going on. I am looking for that one book where the girl falls in love with a nice nerdy guy, and I am asking for your help to find it. If you do, send me the name of the book, who wrote it, and a picture of the book. That easy. I'm not sure what you'll get if you do find one. Maybe we should brain storm on some things. Anyways, my mom and I are both sure there is a book out there that has what I'm looking for. We haven't been able to find it yet, but trust me, we are looking too. So far we have found good looking bad boys or just plain good looking guys. So remember to look out for a book that has a girl falling in love with a nice guy, or a nerdy nice guy. So until next time.....

Reading Glimmerglass part one by Mom

Hi, everyone - I am Lys's Mom. As I am starting to give you my first blog of the Glimmer glass, Lys just took a drink from my glass of my milk which I just poured. Grrrrr. I always believe that we should share but leave a little for me. Ok? The reaction I get is a little smile but she continues on drinking  my glass of milk.... To let you know, she did leave me a little.
Now, back to my thoughts of this book. When I started reading, I had images of movies that popped in my head that were similar to what was happening in the book. So, far I got "What a Girl Wants" and "Mortal Instruments." So, far that I have read, is a girl that has been raised by a mother that has a drinking problem. The mother says bad things about the girls' Dad when she is sober to make her stay with her but then again tells her great things when she is drunk. So, the girl decides to go and call her Dad to meet him. So, she runs away from her Mom. It isn't exactly like the movie but you get the just. The girl travels to London and then to Avalon, which is the border between the real world and the magical world. Here the girl is sort of kidnapped before she meets her Dad for the first time by her Aunt. Her Aunt kept her in a cell for safe keeping and guarded by something very huge. She was rescued by the gorgeous guy and sister, gee didn't see that coming, right? Still she hasn't met her father, she has been attacked by monsters that look like twigs and their is a battle of politics in the magic kingdom. The Good versus Evil motif. Who will win and it all will depend on the girl's life. Still I like to know- when is she going to meet or see her dad. So, I will continue reading the book just to see when will she meet him and will her image of him be what she dreamed of. Till next time..... bye.

Reading Take Me There and random thoughts

I'm trying to give this book the benefit of the doubt. It is still not picking up. I'm to the point that I'm dragging my feet reading this book. Nothing is really going on. Like I said, I don't like it. Some of you would love this book, I know that. But I can't get into this book. I'm pretty far in it and I'm just not feeling it. It is just too dry for me. If I were to rate this book right now from what I read, I'd give it a two. Maybe even a one.
Anyways, on another note that is completely random. I couldn't help but notice that every romance book I've read involves a girl falling for the bad boy. You never read a book where its a nice guy. They are always strong muscular and have a bad rep. I want to find one book where a girl goes for the nice nerdy looking guy in the corner of the room. Someone who isn't muscular. Someone who doesn't have a bad rep. I know its human nature to go for the strongest guy and the most good looking guy. Even maybe have the challenge to help a bad boy settle down and be that one girl he can't live with out. If only that worked in real life. I tried the bad boy route and it didn't end well. I like the dorky semi muscular guy that makes me smile. He's more like a noodle then anything. But that is besides the point. I want you to help me find that one book where the girl doesn't fall for the bad boy. Find that one book that the guy is kind of dorky or nerdy. Someone that no one would be attracted to. When you find it, send me the title of the book, with the author's name, and maybe even a picture of the book. I want to know if there is such a book out there. That will be your mission. So until next time...

Paused Styxx and started reading Take Me There by Carolee Dean

I decided to put Styxx aside due to the fact that its taking me so long to read. I haven't made ten percent yet. More like nine percent. Anyways, I decided to finish the short ones that I have. Starting with Take Me There by Carolee Dean. To be honest, I don't like it. To me it feels highly dry. Its kind of something that a teacher would choose to read for school. Or at least that is my opinion. I'm not even sure I'm going to finish it. You guys can still read it. I don't want what I say effect your thoughts on books. I'm pretty sure there are a few of you who would love this book. Anyways, I don't like it. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Check it out if you'd like, but I'll try to read halfway into the book. I'm just not going to make any promises. But, I guess I should tell you what I have read so far. The book is kind of confusing as it is dry. It tends to change from the past of when he met a certain girl named, Jess, and in the present when he is on the run. Our main character is named Dylan by the way. I forgot to mention that. Anyways, besides the switching time zones, there are poems and articles of some sort placed randomly throughout the book. That is pretty much it. It doesn't really explain much right now, maybe later on in the book. But, I'll probably never make it to the end anyways. So I'm going to head out now and attempt to finish this book. Most likely not. So until next time....

Started reading Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon

So the low down on this book is that it is about Acheron's brother. Or more commonly known as Ash because it's easier to say. Also if you don't know who Ash is, he is the first and leader of the dark hunters. He even has his own story in the series where you find out about his history and how he became a dark hunter, and also you read about him finding his true love. Def wasn't Artemis, she ruined that chance. Anyways, for those who have read Ash's story, this is basically is Styxx's side of the story. You know what they say, 'there is always two sides to every story' and this one for sure does. Since half of Ash's story was told through their sister's eyes, this is solely through Styxx's eyes. You find out that Ryssa, their sister, didn't see the whole picture. To her, Styxx was just a selfish brat that hated his brother. According to this book, Styxx loved his brother very much and did everything to protect him. Also Styxx felt like that Ash was his only best friend when they were kids. Then Ash was taken away. Styxx was forced to fight for himself and put others feelings before his. He has also wised up through the years and learned what to do that will provide lesser punishment. Poor kid. Styxx apparently didn't have it as easy as Ryssa thought. I pretty much stopped where he was doing his fighting lesson and he gained the respect of his trainer by no complaining about his injuries. To me that is just too sad. When you read the book you will understand why I said that. Anyways, I'm going to continue to read the book. I have over 800 pages to read and I'm not even a tenth of the way through the book. This is going to take a while. So until next time....

Finished reading Beautiful Oblivion

All I have to say is that my mind is completely blown with the ending of the book. I would of never guessed an ending like that. You basically find out who Cami's ex is. But, lets talk about the book before I ruin it and tell you the big secret. You basically don't have to read Beautiful Disaster or Walking Disaster to read this book. Cami and Trent have a pretty easy relationship except for the fact that Cami's ex-friend keeps popping out of nowhere and starts messing with things. The guy couldn't get the hint that she just didn't want him anymore. Trent was about ready to kill the guy. Also it makes sense on why her brother's threw a fit in the beginning when TJ ditched her when you find out the true identity. I'm so tempted to tel you everything, but that would ruin the book and I don't want to do that. I'm happy to say that this book did not disappoint me. I may have also shed a tear or two during the fire scene. Damn. Lizzie McGuire got me again with that scene. Thats the third time in a row. I still have to say that Travis is still my favorite Maddox brother though. Sorry Trent. Anyways, now I don't have to worry about my mom hiding the book on me. I'd still care if she did, but now I won't be rocking back and forth in a corner wondering what happened next in the book. I'm so glad I bought it. I don't think I could return it to the library if I borrowed it from there. I so highly recommend this book and I will for sure force my mom to read it. But, now I must read my library books that I picked up. I'll start with the biggest and that would be Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Yep, another one of her books. I'm almost all caught up, so give me some credit. So until next time...

Reading Beautiful Oblivion

For those who don't remember what Beautiful Oblivion looks like since I posted something about it in the beginning of the month. Also if you hadn't noticed, I tend to talk about the characters in any book as if they were real people. To me they kind of are. You can say that my books are my best friends in the whole world. Anyways, lets talk Beautiful Oblivion. I pretty much fell in love with the book within the first chapter. Trent is just as charming as his brother Travis. Also instead of betting a girl to live with him, Trent pulls a dirtier trick. He brings in the neighbor's kid. And, I have to say that Olive sounds like a very adorable little girl. Well played Trent, well played. Also Cami is someone I'm ready to smack. Instead of going for a guy that is obviously interested in her and will take time out of his day to spend as much time with her, the girl is stupid to be caught up with a boyfriend that puts his job before her. The girl reminds me of a friend I have who does the same exact thing. Well, her boyfriend doesn't choose a job over her, he more likes to choose other girls over her. My friend I can strangle, Cami I can not. But I would if I could. Anyways, a lot is going on and I'm about halfway through the book. Told you I could finish it in a day. Anyways, I'm to the point that its starting to over lap a little with Beautiful Disaster. I'm still addicted to the love story of Abby and Travis. I'm starting to wish I had a Maddox boy willing to fight to keep me in his life. Those boys now that when they find the girl, they are willing to bring her in and keep her. But, those boys are only fictional and I'm stuck loving a musician. Anyways, I'm going to go finish off the book now. So until next time....
