Halfway through Once Dead, Twice Shy

I'm about halfway through the book and I realize that I'm experiencing a reading hangover from the last book I read. I didn't think it was possible. Right now I just don't want to read this book because Kiss of Frost was so intense towards the end. But I'm pulling through it just for you guys. The book is a little bit slow, but that is to be expected for something that is the start of a series. The first book's job is always to explain what is going on so you are not completely confused through out the rest of the series. Anyways, I learned this book is not about zombies or vampires. Its about reapers. Like the Grim Reaper I guess. Or, like angels and demons fighting for the balance of the universe. Something like that. Anyways, the main goal of this book, other then explaining everything, is to have our leading lady, Madison, protect those she loves and cares deeply about. Why? Because the person who's amulet she stole is coming back for it. And what better way to get something back then go after the ones the thief loves. I'm pretty sure anyone would do anything to keep those they care about safe. Sadly I will only do that for my mom. Well, maybe I won't risk my life for her. Sorry mom. Anyways, I'm going to call it a night and hopefully get some more reading in. So until next time.......

Started reading Once Dead, Twice Shy by Kim Harrison

So I'm on a new read. I had to request this book specifically because it was already at my library and I didn't have to wait for it to be shipped. I needed a new book because I finished Kiss of Frost. Anyways, I have no idea what the book is about. I just found it on my reading list and requested it from the library. Always good to just dive into a book and know nothing about it. I guess its a good thing in a way. That way its more of an adventure trying to figure out what the book is about and I can connect with the main character better. Maybe that's why I write such good reviews for books most of the time. Who knows? I just never read what the book is about these days. Anyways, I just literally just started reading the book. I'm only on page one. I don't know if its about vampires or zombies. It could be about something completely different. All I know is that the main character died during a car accident. But I'm going to head out and see what this book is all about. So until next time.....

Almost finished reading Kiss of Frost.

The whole entire other half of the book I wanted to tell Gwen that Oliver is not the reaper out to kill her. It would be too obvious. Also so was who the real reaper was. But I can't tell you because I hate spoilers. Anyways, Gwen learns a little about Logan's dark past. They also share a kiss. Which makes you want to say its about time, but then they go back to the way they were before everything. Which makes me a little frustrated. But I could also be wrong because I'm not quite done with the book yet. I still have two chapters left and who knows, they might just actually end up together. I hope they do because Logan is turning into being a big jerk. At least Gwen has a new best friends to talk about Logan with, and its one of his close friends. Score for Gwen. Now Logan's secrets aren't safe. So until next time.....

Halfway through Kiss of Frost

I'm speeding through this book like nothing else. Probably helps with the fact that family members like to steal my computer charger. And when you have no computer, you have nothing to distract your reading. So our favorite gypsy has someone after her and is literally trying to kill her. I have some ideas on who it is, but knowing the author, she is going to throw a huge twist our ways. Gotta love authors like that. But I was reminded of the little crush that our leading lady has on a certain classmate named Logan. Sadly the guy turned her down in the last book, but just so happens he was lying. Guy totally has the hots for Gwen and his secret be damned. To bad he waited until Gwen was seen with another guy. Kind of reminds me of real life. Anyways, hopefully Logan comes to his senses soon because Gwen nearly died three times already and made a surprising friend. But I am going to go read and see if I'm right about who the person trying to kill Gwen is. So until next time.....

Started reading Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep

So my latest read is the second book in a series that I started way back. Honestly I'm not sure when I read the first book, so this is all going to be a learning experience for me. Anyways, all I can remember is that our leading lady Gwen is the only semi normal person that goes to her school. Everyone else is either descendants of gods or ancient civilizations. Gwen is just a little gypsy girl who can see into people's minds and histories of objects just by a touch. That is all I remember. Its kind of sad. But I'm hoping that when I read the book that it will remind me of everything I'm reading. So until next time.......

Almost done reading Nevermore

So I'm almost done with the book which is kind of bitter sweet. If I remember correctly, there is another book. Which would make me extremely happy. Anyways a lot happens in the book to the point that I couldn't put the book down. Anyways, after the whole school thinking that Isobel is crazy and losing her mind. Then she finds out that Varen was actually not at school. Shocker there. But also makes you wonder how that is at all possible because she saw him. Anyways, things get a little crazy and then she finds Varen. Only to lose him again. Then she is dragged into another world and searches for Varen to take him back with her. So after living out Poe's work and finally decided to head back to end everything after being promised that Varen was waiting for her when it was all over with. So she destroys the link between worlds and that is where I stopped. I have no idea what happened after that, but supposedly if she destroyed the link, she would be lost forever. But you will have to read the book to see what happens. I know that I will. So until next time......

Halfway through Nevermore

So I like to joke around saying that this book is going to get instant five stars from me because of its slight obsession with Edgar Allan Poe. Most likely no true, but it will still get a good rating from me. Promise. The book is pretty good so far. Varen is still mysterious as ever, but he is starting to let Isobel in. No promises on that. Its like their relationship is what keeps the book going. You keep wondering if these two actually end up together or not. You know that they have to, just no when. Also what happens when they no longer share the project on Edgar Allan Poe. Will things go back to the way they were before? Or will they be together in the relationship that no one saw coming? Kind of makes me just want to continue reading. But the pending relationship isn't the only reason to be reading the book. Some crazy stuff is going on in the book. Lockers and doors opening and closing by themselves. Cars being tipped over. Whispers in the radio static and the wind. Also a people that only Isobel can see appear out of no where. What is going on and why is it happening? So until next time....

Started reading Nevermore by Kelly Creagh

I have a new reads and the title kind of reminds me of my favorite writer of all time. Anyways, before I get to this book, I have to apologize. I will not be continuing Killing Katie by B.A. Spangler. The book is just taking me too long to read. I do plan on picking it up once again, but at a later time. I fill really bad for only going about a third of the way through the book. But its not fair that I take so long on posting updates on the book to you guys and its not fair to the author. So that book has been put on the shelf for a later time. Now I grabbed some books from the library and this is the one I chose to read first. I actually tried to read this book a few years back but I just wasn't in the reading mood at that time. But I am curious on how this book is. The picture is a little bit different from the actual book I have, but they have the same amount of pages, so I'm not complaining. From what I could remember in the few pages I've read. We have two complete opposites forced together for a school project. We all know that these two are going to end up together because that is just the way these books go. Either way I'm off to start the book and I'll post as soon as I can. Sorry about the book Killing Katie. I really do plan continuing reading the book at a later time. So until next time.....

Debating whether or not to continue reading Killing Katie

This book is taking me forever to read. I don't know why, but I'm having a bit of a problem with it. It could be that the story line is a little too slow for me. Or, it could be that I just don't like the book. Honestly I don't even know what the genre of the book is. I should look that up. Is it a mystery? Thriller? Crime Novel? I'm a terrible reader. So I hope to finish this book eventually, just not this month or the next. These kinds of book take me forever to read. Its like I don't want to miss a certain detail. At least now I know why I don't read books of this genre. It takes me too fricken long. So I apologize to the author for being the worst reader on the planet. I know you wanted me to read the book and see what I thought. But now we have learned I am taking way too long then I'd like. I really want to finish the book and see what happens. But I also have no motivation to read it what so ever. Now I'm just sitting around debating if I should just stick through it and finish the book. Or, just give up and hope to finish it at a later time. I really hate myself right now. So until next time.....

Almost done reading Gabriel's Rapture

Good news, I'm almost done with the book. That means I can read something else for completely devote my time to reading Killing Katie. Anyways, things are over with Julia and Gabriel. Well at least that is what Julia thinks. When in reality, Gabriel ran off to Italy to relive his happy memories of Julia. He was even walking around wearing a wedding band saying that he was married. That is true dedication right there. But now that our two lovers are now together its time to clear the air. Gabriel explains himself and Julia shares her pain of their separation. So maybe a I was a little wrong about what the next book is about, but at least I tried to guess. I won't be able to get the next book until a few months from now due to such a huge reading list at the library. So to those who have read the book, don't tell me. Anyways, I enjoyed the book. Sadly I didn't cry during the break up scene. Maybe if the scene was more in depth to what Julia and Gabriel were both feeling during their time apart, maybe then I'd shed a tear or two. That would probably been the only thing I would of changed in the whole book. But I'm not the author and I'm sure she had her reasons for things. So until next time......

Reading Gabriel's Rapture

I'm finally two thirds through the book. I could celebrate because of it. Anyways, the drama is just rolling in. It seems that one of Julia's classmates would cause such a mess. She is so determined on ruining Julia because she didn't get what she wanted. So the drama just keeps coming as investigations take place and Gabriel sacrifices himself so that Julia can go to Harvard. Romantic or completely stupid? You decide on that one. But the terms on keeping his job, he can't be in contact with Julia anymore. Shocker there. So now the two are over, but we all know they will get back together. Why else would there be a third book? Also it wouldn't make it a love story if the two can't overcome the obstacles to be together. I bet that is what the third book is all about. These two getting back together and finally having their happily ever after. So until next time......

Reading Killing Katie and Gabriel's Rapture

I really hate to start off talking about a book with a bad post. But I can't help it sometimes. I understand how much work authors put into their work, only to have someone bash it. I'm sure the book is going to improve but right now it is just hard for me to read. So far I've spent eight chapters of a woman debating whether or not to become a murderer. It kind of has been kind of boring and puts me to sleep. I really hate to say it, but I am not liking the book at all right now. Like I said before, I'm sure it will improve because I hate to write anything bad on a book. But it probably will be a  while before I do another post on this book because I'm really dragging my feet on it.

Another book I'm dragging my feet on is Gabriel's Rapture. I knew it was going to take me a while to read this book because it took me forever to read the first one. I'm not sure why that is, but it is. So far our two love birds are still in Italy. And I was wrong about the last book. The two main characters didn't get secretly married, that was a completely different book. In the first book of this series, our two character are professor and student. And our leading lady had a crazy ex-boyfriend who got a rush out of causing her hell. Like he got more excited with just the thought of almost raping her before Gabriel came to the rescue. I'm still wondering how this relationship plays out. So far Gabriel is still highly jealous of other men talking to our leading lady. And our leading lady tends to feel too insecure to feel like she is worthy of Gabriel's love. Gotta love that drama.

Sorry about the lack of posts. I'm just not in a reading mood lately, but I promise to buckle down as much as I can these next few days. So until next time......

I'm so sorry

Hey guys, I'm so sorry for not posting lately. I've just started remodeling my room because I'm sick of looking at old paneling and old falling apart carpet. I read as much as I can, but I'm not reading as much as I'd like. Hopefully that changes once we get done removing the old carpet from my room. At this rate, due to ridiculously hot weather, I'm not going to get anything done with my room. But I promise to post as soon as I can.

Started reading Gabriel's Rapture by Sylvain Reynard

My latest library book is a little worn. As if it is well read. Kind of makes me not want to touch it in fear that it will crumble in my hands. Anyways, I've read the first book a while back. Like way back. I am not even sure exactly when. But I do remember that the main character fell in love when she was really young. She didn't see the guy for years until he became her college professor. Her feelings had never faded over the years and their relationship become highly complicated. They constantly have to keep it a secret until he is no longer her professor. So the first book is just a constant battle keeping the secret and being madly in love with each other. I'm not sure what the second book is about, but if I remember correctly these two secretly got married in the first book. But I'm ready to see what this book holds and the drama that will take place. So I'm going to head out and start this book. I'll even try to grab my iPad so I can read some of Killing Katie, but you know how my brothers are. Its like as soon as they see me with the iPad, they have to have it. So until next time.......

Finished reading Never Settle for Less

So I finished the book and I have to be honest, this isn't something I would normally read, but I'm kind of glad that I did. It was really fascinating and I'd defiantly suggest it to someone who is going through a tough time. Also the relationship that the main character had with her grandmother reminded me a lot of the relationship I had with mine, and still do in a way. This is a really inspiring book and I suggest you guys to read it if you feel lost. It shows how someone went through tough times only to find the light at the tunnel. I wish I could say more about the book but I have no idea what to tell you. But just go check it out if you want. So until next time.....
