Manga post #28

Hey there Bookies,

It's been a while since I did one of these posts and it's all thanks to the website where I've been renting my ebooks and audio books. Turns out they have One Piece, so I can continue reading the series instead of waiting for it to be available at the library. We are currently getting Chopper's back story in this volume and it still is a sad one. But it's always good to read about the background of each crew member and how they became part of the crew. It's still all review for me due to watching the anime but I still enjoy the manga. I wish I could really say more, but that is pretty much all that really happened. Luffy finally got Nami to the doctor. Even risked his life to do so like a good captain. I know we are almost done with Chopper's story with the next volume. Either way I enjoy One Piece and I can see why it has been going on for so long.

So until next time...

Halfway through Wicked

Hey there Bookies,

Listening to an audio book is a weird thing. Especially when there are spicy parts taking place in the book and you are listening to it at work. You can just imagine me getting embarrassed as I slowly turn down the volume. The only downside I have with audio books is that I'm paying attention and not paying attention. I can hear the story being told but I can't tell you if it is being fully registered in my brain. At least with reading, I can go back. I feel like with audio books its a little harder. But anyways, our leading lady has a crush on a fellow hunter or what not. Her roommate is a brownie she saved that has an addiction to sweets and spending our leading lady's money. We got some very powerful fae walking the streets looking for a type of gateway, but no one knows where these gateways are. But they are killing hunters left and right. I ended my listening at the part where another hunter was killed and I think it was a hunter our leading lady had some tension with. I can't be sure. Like I said, I am listening but registering the story is a whole different thing.

So until next time...

Started Listening to Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Hey Bookies,

I started the audiobook for Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It's a new experience for me, but it passes the time at work while I do paperwork. The only problem I have is to remember to pause the book instead of just muting my computer. It's a habit when I watch things on my computer. I do it with Youtube Videos too. What caused this habit? Watching fellow streamers. I'm learning y'all. Also, if you haven't noticed, I've embraced my southern side more. Probably has to do with the fact I'm planning on moving to the south.  Anyways, that isn't important.

What is important is talking about Wicked. I'm trying to figure out what this book is about. We got faes and fae hunters. That is all I have picked up. Our lead lady also encounters some unknown creature that she thought was fae but nearly died because I guess she was wrong. And....that is far as I got in the audio book. It takes a while to listen to a story when you are constantly pausing it for customers and phone calls. This is why I like books more but the wait list was too long. And I'm impatient. Hopefully, I can give you a better update next time.

So until next time...

Long time no see

 Hello Bookies,

Man, when was the last time I made a post on here. I actually think I forgot all about you. Sorry. Anyways, I've been super busy that I didn't have time to read much anymore. But I've discovered a thing called audio books. I was highly against them, but they are nice to listen to when you need to fill the silence while doing beadwork. I finished The Glittering Court through audio book. Also I finished Cryptic Cravings finally through an ebook. I was so against going digital, but sometimes you have no choice. Especially when you have no idea if your local library is open or not. Hopefully, I can get back to reading and start posting about books again. Thanks for understanding my time away. I'll try to do better.

Thanks y'all and see you next time,

Lys Robison
