Halfway through Hunting Adeline

Hello there Bookies,

The first half of this book is brutal. Addie is literally going through hell trying to survive. I feel so bad for the character and I can't help but wonder about the research needed to write this book. The first half of this book is the down right ugly of the world. Zade is even going through hell trying to find Addie while fighting the images in his mind about what she could be going through. Finally he finds her but there is a lot of healing that needs to take place and Zade knows it. He gives her the space she needs and even the help she needs. This is where I can see where Zade gets romanticized a lot in the social media world. He is putting his needs and wants aside just to help Addie come back to life. It's kind of sweet. But I'm not going to give you the gruesome details this book holds because it is not for the light of heart. The author's trigger warnings hold true for this book and listen to them before you read the book. Unless you are so desensitized by everything in the world. I'm only desensitized by my criminology background, even though I didn't fully pursue it, I know how cruel the world can be. But now I'm going to read about Addie healing. Right now she isn't comfortable with anyone touching her at the moment and that is understandable. I wouldn't want anyone to touch me either if I went through what she did.

So until next time...

Started reading Hunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

Hey there Bookies,

This book came sooner than expected and I'm ready to continue the story. With the first book ending on a cliff hanger, I am eager to figure out what is going to happen next. We know that Zade is going to do everything he can to get Addie back. I have a feeling that this book is going to be a rollercoaster. I have been told that this book is better than the first but we will have to see. I also noticed in the trigger warning page that a few of my personal kinks are going to be in this book as well. I'm curious on how they are going to be played out. Again, I feel like I must place a reminder that this duet is targeted toward a certain group in the BDSM community and fully understanding it helps with understanding some of the things going on in the books. Also I feel like the romance shouldn't be the main focus in this book when reading it. This is like getting a peek at a world that we try to ignore. Either way I am excited to read the book and hopefully I can finish this quick since I am so behind on my reading schedule. I have until the 15th to finish my small stack of books.

So until next time...

Finished reading Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Hello Bookies,

I have finally finished reading the book. It took me so much longer than planned because I somehow ended up with a second job that takes up most of my reading time. But our lovely characters have been through a rollercoaster of events. This book does continue on from the first book and it starts with Arthur going to a hearing about his experiences with the DICOMY and the DICOMA. But sadly, he goes unheard. Instead one of the politicians decided to twist his words and stories for her own gain. Then an inspector is being sent to the island once again. But first Arthur must pick up a child in need of a new home. There was also a proposal at some point. The inspector comes to the island and the children make is very interesting for her. The inspector then gets banished and the government comes for revenge only to anger a certain sprite. Gets banished. The island than gets connected to the main land and everyone lives happily ever after. Well at least for now. There are more details in the book but that is the run down. I want you to read this book. I really enjoyed it and I find any book that T.J. Klune writes adorable. I look forward to more of this story but I know that this could be the last one. Or, the author is just going to sit on this and wonder how the story is going to continue. Either way I will read it. The book gets three out of five stars. It was almost four stars but I can't say that I loved this book. I enjoyed it and I love the characters in it. But I still wouldn't say that I love the book. Would recommend though.

So until next time....
