Hello there Bookies,
The first half of this book is brutal. Addie is literally going through hell trying to survive. I feel so bad for the character and I can't help but wonder about the research needed to write this book. The first half of this book is the down right ugly of the world. Zade is even going through hell trying to find Addie while fighting the images in his mind about what she could be going through. Finally he finds her but there is a lot of healing that needs to take place and Zade knows it. He gives her the space she needs and even the help she needs. This is where I can see where Zade gets romanticized a lot in the social media world. He is putting his needs and wants aside just to help Addie come back to life. It's kind of sweet. But I'm not going to give you the gruesome details this book holds because it is not for the light of heart. The author's trigger warnings hold true for this book and listen to them before you read the book. Unless you are so desensitized by everything in the world. I'm only desensitized by my criminology background, even though I didn't fully pursue it, I know how cruel the world can be. But now I'm going to read about Addie healing. Right now she isn't comfortable with anyone touching her at the moment and that is understandable. I wouldn't want anyone to touch me either if I went through what she did.
So until next time...
