Arouse

11/6/14

I have loads of books from the library I have to read. Also I have so many ebooks on my phone that I have to read before my mother strangles me for spending good money on books. She won't really strangle me people. She'll just give me a certain look that says she is not happy with how much I'm spending on books. I'm about to loose my phone along with my bookstore privileges. Yes, I do live with my mother, but that is going to change in March unless I keep spending my moving money on books. I can't move to another state with just the clothes on my back, so my mother says. Anyways, the deal is I read the books from the library and at least two ebooks in two weeks, and I could be forgiven. She'll probably tell me to read two more ebooks when I read the two I was supposed to. Anyways, lets get talking about the wonderful ebook that became my first choice in this deal. The book is Arouse by Nina Lane. I'm still highly confused on what is going on in the book, probably I just got it because it says free. I really need to make a habit to actually read what the book is about. Anyways, I'm about eleven pages in already and the intro is kind of confusing. Our main character is pretty much on the street saying that she wished someone would touch her. Then bam you are at a different time period. I don't know if you are supposed to read the book to have it go up to that point in the introduction to have it explained and make sense. I don't know. But I do have a feeling that this book is going to be pretty good. I say that because one of the blogs that I follow had high praise for the book. Of course, I could also end up hating it. Believe it or not, I'm one of the few that didn't like The Hunger Games books. I honestly think the movies are way better. You may hate me now. So until next time...

Okay, the book is making so much sense now. I'm about a third of the way and its okay right now. We basically follow our main character around named Olivia or Liv. She is married to Dean West and basically their meeting was like fate. She was having trouble registering for school and he came to the rescue. Then she leaves thinking she will never see him again. At least until he shows up to her place of work every day until they start flirting through books. Kind of reminds me of what I do with a certain someone, but I do greeting cards. Either way both ways are cute and romantic in a way. Anyways, you pretty much have to pay attention while you read. The book tends to change time periods on you with out telling you. So avoid confusion and pay close attention. Basically you are switching between how they met and became a couple with the life that they are living now and the complications of being in a marriage. Its quite interesting right now. So far I'm liking it. So until next time.....

I didn't get any writing done today. That kind of makes me sad. But I did realize that I'm not halfway through Arouse. The time periods switching could give me whiplash while reading this. You basically get used to one time only to be suddenly switched to the next one. Its crazy. But still interesting. I'm also sneaking pages of While It Lasts by Abbi Glines. Expect a post about that some time. I'm not far enough to say what is going on in that book. This book honestly has a lot going on, but I feel like I'm giving too much away if I tell you. I will say though that I'm no disappointed so far. Also I've come to realize its one of those books you can't read around other people because some scenes are quite steamy. I wish I felt comfortable to write like that. I feel like I'm writing a kid's book compared to these other adult authors. But I'm trying. Anyways, I'm going to wrap up this book since I'm just flying through the digital pages. So technically I'm not done reading, but I don't want to give anything away. It would just ruin the book. So go get it. I think its still free for Kindle but I'm not sure. So until next time......
