Okay, I don't know how long I've been waiting to read this book. It
feels like forever. But I finally get to read it. Yay! Okay so here is
the lowdown on what I've read so far. Our main lady Tate arrives to
live with her brother. Of course the person she meets mentions that she
was stabbed in the next in a past life. She can't help but think the guy
is crazy. So then she gets to her brother's apartment only to have a
drunk guy leaning against the door. Not sure what to do, she calls her
brother. He tells her get into the apartment and lock all of the door.
Funny thing is, she left her things out in the hallway when she was in
such a hurry to get to safety. So her bother calls his friend Miles to
help her get her stuff. Only to find out that the drunk guy in the hall
is actually Miles. So Tate has to drag him in to the apartment until he
sleeps off what ever he drank. After Tate gets settled in, she discovers
a crying Miles that is calling her Rachel. She doesn't know what to do,
and isn't able to sneak away from him until he falls asleep. Anyways,
the book then switches time periods when it goes to Miles's point of
view. I think its to help the reader under stand Miles better. I'm not
sure so don't hold me against it. Anyways, you find out Rachel is this
girl he went to school with and had a huge crush on. Also the way his
point of view is written is like a poem. It is quite interesting. Then
it switches back to Tate waking up to a very grumpy Miles. He can't
remember much, so she decides to have a little fun with it. At least her
brother shows up and keeps them from killing each other. I just started
this book and I already love it. I kind of don't want to put it down in
order to tell you what is going on. So we'll see when I'll post again.
Hopefully it will be when I'm halfway through the book. So until next
time.....

If you haven't noticed, I'm reading two books at once again. I figured
it help with my time line if I read Ugly Love between the times that my
phone is charging, since Rome is an ebook that I got through my Kindle
app. Anyways, I'm going to keep the mystery of Miles alive with this
book. Make you guys want to read it. So Tate came home from work only to
find a bunch of guys in her brother's apartment. Apparently they all
get together to watch the game, even when her brother is not home. Miles
mentions that she can study at his place, which she does because she
wants to learn more about him. Only problem is that there is nothing to
see in his apartment. Major disappointment to Tate when she tried to
snoop. But she is surprised when she finds out that Miles is a pilot,
and is highly impressed. This actually confuses her because she wasn't
impressed when another guy told her he was a pilot. Of course she has to
say something out of line and make things awkward between Miles and
her. Silly Tate. Its more awkward when he joins her and her brother for
Thanksgiving with their parents. She can't help but stare at him in the
care, Miles even caresses her foot while Corbin, Tate's brother, is
sound asleep. Something is brewing here. Anyways, while they are all at
Tate's and Corbin's parent's house, Miles ends up getting hurt trying to
play hero. Tate fixes him up the best she could, and even tells him
that if he dies, she had no part in fixing him up. Also apparently all
it takes for Miles to put the moves on Tate is to have her close to him,
stitching up his hand. Who knew? Anyways, Miles ends up kissing Tate
only to leave her hanging, and tells her to never let him kiss her
again. I'm thinking the same thing she is at this point. What the hell
Miles? So all the way through dinner, Tate can't stop thinking about the
kiss. She also learns that Miles hasn't had a girlfriend for like six
years. Its also to the point that Corbin spent three years thinking that
Miles was gay. Corbin then says something and Miles pretty much closes
everyone off. I'm guessing Corbin said something he shouldn't have. So
fast forward to night time. Tate can't sleep and she notices the Miles
is up, the creeper. Tate, not Miles. Anyways, she decides to follow him.
Like I said before, the creeper. Of course, I don't blame the girl. If
he's hot, I'd follow him around like a lost puppy too. But back to the
story. Anyways, they end up talking a little bit. They admit that they
are attracted to each other and Miles pretty much asks to just have sex
with Tate. She pretty much just turned to mush. The girl needs some self
respect. So they all head home because they all have to return to work.
Of course that doesn't stop like the hottest scene I've read in a book
so far. Not sure why. Honestly I think all of the naughty scenes are
pretty hot. And that makes me sound like a complete perv. Gosh I'm
terrible. Anyways, Miles pretty much gives Tate the brush off
afterwards. My thoughts where, what did you expect? But, I'm going to
wrap up this chapter and try to finish Rome by Jay Crownover. But I'm
pretty sure this book just ruined all other books for me. If you read
it, then you'll understand what I mean, hopefully. So until next
time.....

Now that I'm officially done with Rome, I can focus on this lovely book.
The book that ruined all books for me because it is just that good.
Anyways, I don't know where I left off with you guys, so I'm just going
to jump right into it. Tate and Miles go curtain shopping for his
extremely bare apartment. Tate feels like this is extremely intimate,
and I think Miles is going to be the one to break his own rules. He
probably tells himself that he is just doing something friends do
everyday and that is all Tate is, a friend. If that is so, then his is
in for a big surprise. It even pains him to admit that he likes kissing
Tate. Tate may secretly love the guy, but she is at least smart enough
to tell herself that she doesn't want to get wrapped up in him. Even if
its impossible for her. Anyways, a few days later, Miles gets promoted
and everyone decides to celebrate. Tate and Miles have a moment while
Corbin's back is turned on them and their friend Ian is in the restroom.
Its sweet and you can't help but think that Miles is falling for Tate.
There is also a few other moment and Miles hinting what he wants right
in front of everyone. Luckly only Tate understood what he wanted or
Corbin would be on a man hunt for Miles's neck. Everyone goes their
separate ways after eating. Then there is a Kissing-in-the-rain scene.
That there makes me want to melt just by reading it, because kissing in
the rain is so romantic. Anyways, who thought that kissing in the rain
would lead to a sex scene? Not something I'd envisioned, but I'll go
with it anyways. So after the sex scene, Tate goes down and talks to
Cap, the elevator man. She asks him if he's ever been in love and he
tells the story about the woman he loves. She finds his story a little
sad, but Cap doesn't regret any of it. And then its a chapter about
Miles, I really want to tell you, but still want to keep the mystery
alive. But his past is all starting to make sense to the way he is now. I
don't want to reveal anything mind blowing right now, so I'm going to
go. Not missing much, just a lot of sex scenes going on and more of
Miles's past gets revealed. Loving this book so far. Sad that I'm almost
done with it though. So until next time....
Oh. My. Gah. I officially want this book in my personal library. Also I
think Miles just went in the running to become my new fictional
boyfriend. Not sure why, but I guess once you look past the protective
barrier he's got going on, he is pretty much perfect boyfriend material.
But, I'm getting way ahead of myself. Things get more complicated since
I left off. I think Miles got a little overwhelmed with what he was
feeling and ran. Sounds like someone I know.....Anyways, back to the
book. Tate pretty much thinks what they had was over and consumed tons
of chocolate, because everyone knows that chocolate soothes a girl's
broken heart. Honestly chocolate is basically a girl's best friend no
matter the occasion. But, Miles gets jealous because Tate had a guy over
at her apartment to study for a test or something. Tate pretty much
tells him its not any of his business whether or no she is sleeping with
someone else. Then some how their fight turns into a sex scene, that
ends with them getting caught by Corbin. And man, is Corbin pissed at
Miles. So much so that he pretty much kicks Mile's out of the apartment.
Tate runs after Miles and they gets a talking. They reset some ground
rules, and I'm pretty sure it is going to nip them in the butt at this
point. Also good old wise Cap is noticing something that Tate isn't. I'm
kind of noticing it too. Miles in in love with Tate and just won't
admit it. It is so obvious. This is an example that actions speak louder
then words people. Just saying. He even comes running to her when she
is freaked out that a plane crashed. Even called his boss to make sure
that Corbin was okay for her. Probably for his own peace of mind too,
but still its something you don't do if you are doing a no strings
attached relationship. Anyways, lines are starting to get burred between
them and Tate can't help but fall in love with Miles more. Miles is
even starting to let her see a little bit of his past. I'm sitting and
waiting for the moment he finally confesses what he's feeling. But I'm
going to wrap up what I'm reading and leave you guy hanging. Read the
book, you'll love it. So until next time....
