Finished reading Deal with the Elf King

Hello there Bookies,

I'm writing this post before I head off to work, so forgive me if I sound rushed. The book was cute with an enemies to lovers plotline. The only problem with this is that I hate having to endure the two leads denying their feelings for half of the book. Luella doesn't want to admit she is in love because she is scared that it is only because of her duty as the Human Queen. The Elf King denies his feelings because Luella is planning on leaving and he is just guarding himself from heart break. So much happens in this book but I don't have the time to tell you all of them due to the fact I have to go to work soon. You'll just have to read the book to find out what happens. I will say that Luella does accomplish breaking the cycle and returns home. She isn't happy and it takes a good long talk with her mother for figure out what she really wants. Then Luella runs back to Midscape to live happily ever after with her king. The book gets three out of five stars out of me. Also this book is good for those that don't want books with strong intimate scenes. They mention it but you don't actually go through the actions. I liked the book but I didn't love it. I found it cute and it had some good character growth. But I can't help but feel like there should have been more to the story. Maybe instead of the bonus chapter being online, maybe put it as an epilogue in the book. Maybe that is why it feels like something is missing. With how the book ends, you are still left with questions. You don't get that closure. Also there is no guarantee that the website holding the bonus chapter would still be up by the time you read the book. These are just my thoughts but feel free to read the book on your own.

So until next time....

-Lys
