Started reading Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

Hey there Bookies,

I got my hands on this book because my boss wanted me to read it. She said that she needed someone to talk about the book with and since I like Riley Sager, I was elected to be that person. So far I'm a few chapters in and I already find it interesting. Our main character is someone who had a sleep over with their best friend, but at some point in the night, the best friend disappeared. Now our main character suffers from insomnia because of this incident. I guess that they think that if they had woken up at some point during the night, they could have saved their best friend. Since they didn't, they are afraid of something similar from happening and that is why they can't sleep. That is just my theory. Right now I am just collecting clues as to what happened to the missing best friend. There are no traces as to who did it and no one heard a thing. That is all I have so far. I can't wait to learn more.

So until next time...

Finished reading Listen for the Lie

Hey there Bookies,

I finished Listen for the Lie while I was at work and it took me a while to finally write the update. This was a book I couldn't put down because I wanted to know who killed Savvy. Of course the book did drag on a bit, but the mystery kept me reading. I'm not going to go into detail on what all happened in the book because that would just ruin the mystery. There really isn't a lot of clue to who killed Savvy until Lucy starts to remember things. Even then you don't know what is a real memory or what is made up. Eventually she does remember but people still try to tell her that it is a false memory. but she eventually figures out who the killer is and the scene is pretty intense but it still leaves you a little confused as to what really happened. But I guess Lucy ends up having a pretty happy ending. The book sadly only gets three out of five stars from me. I liked it, but it was just missing some things. I just don't know what it is. But this is a good mystery for those that like the alternating views between our main character and the podcast that is named after our title. I do recommend this book.

So until next time....

Reading Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera

  Hello there Bookies,

I've decided to give Linger a break. I'll eventually get back to it, but I ended up getting my hands on this book instead. Listen for the Lie has some good words from the patrons around work, so I had to check it out. With my busy lifestyle, it is hard to find time to read, but I'm making time for this book. I think it is just interesting already when the main character is suspected of killing her best friend and she can't come to her defense because she can't remember anything that has happened that night. I guess the main character ended up with a blow to the head that seemed to contribute to the fact that she can't remember anything. But everyone in their small town seems to have forgotten that small detail. If our main character Lucy killed her best friend, how did she end up in almost just as bad of shape? Just that small little detail keeps you reading. Because you know that there is more to the story.

So until next time....
