Reading Persepolis 2 by Marjane Satrapi

 Hey there Bookies,

You ask and you shall receive. I got the second book from library and this is all about her returning to her country. I still find it interesting to see the world through a different perspective. Especially history. In this graphic novel, you see the author's life in a different country. Her struggles of trying to fit in and trying to find herself. She even had a few relationships that took a toll on her self-esteem. But after four years overseas, she decides that she wants to go home. She misses her family and friends. When she returns it is a little unsettling for her because everything is different than when she was a child. Her father also tells her all that had happened while she was away and she learns that her struggles were small compared to her parents. The author even goes to see a good childhood friend of hers that fought in the war but now he is disabled because of it. I'm not quite done with the graphic novel yet. I've been reading a little bit of it before bed. But I still find it all interesting.

So until next time...
