Almost done reading The Vegetarian

Hello there Bookies,

Well this book is a rollercoaster. There are only three long chapters in this book. Each chapter is through the point of view of a different person. The first chapter is the husband of the woman who became a vegetarian. The second chapter is the brother-in-law of the woman. Then chapter three is the sister of the woman. The first chapter had the husband trying to understand what is going on with his wife. Trying to figure out why she suddenly became a vegetarian due to a dream. You could even tell that he was getting a little annoyed about it. In the second chapter you find out that the husband eventually left his wife because he just couldn't handle his wife's behavior. The second chapter was really a rollercoaster. Seeing the vegetarian in the point of view as her brother-in-law was weird. I'm only saying it was weird because I'm pretty sure there was a part where he got turned on by the thought of her blood being on him. He then becomes obsessed with his sister-in-law for some odd reason. He comes up with excuses to see her naked and it isn't because of lust. Or, at least that is what he tells himself. But his obsession gets to bad that he basically gets himself painted in flowers and assaults her. Chapter three is where we are now with the vegetarian's sister. She explains that her sister is now in a mental institute and her now ex-husband is now in hiding. But the sister is now starting to get dreams about her sister, the vegetarian. I guess these dreams have something to do with her sister thinking she is a tree or something like that. It is hard to focus when no one lets me actually listen to the book. I'm still working through the last chapter. Right now we are going through the experience of the sister visiting the vegetarian in the ward where they are staying. It is all just a rollercoaster. If I had to rate this book, it would be two stars out of five. I liked it and I found it interesting, but it is hard to follow in some parts. The different points of views don't help but I can understand why the author did it. It is interesting to see different points of view when someone starts to slowly fall into insanity.

So until next time....
